Dear Booking.com staff, First our thanks for all your tips and hurrah for the great deals along the way. We were in four star hotels and treated royally. We have akways prefered B&Bs and booked St Judes in Galway. We were disappointed for thr first time ever! Our room was way up at the top of the house and was overheated. The remote control for the TV was filthy. We were shocked that we were told we needed to pay extra for breakfast. We checked the fine lines and low and behold, there was indeed an extra charge. We explained that we felt this was unfair. Historically, BED AND BREAKFAST has always been a joint concept. Advertising should say..bed only. We were told that we should not expect this because we paid so little for our room and he hat to make up the difference. We felt this treatment was discriminatory. We checked with the Irish girls in the room next door who paid 50 euro each with breakfast. Ours was 110 plus 12€ for the two with breakfasts. Patty and Hans Haimerl

The staff were very welcoming. The location was excellent, it is 5mins walk to the city but the b&b is in a quiet location. Perfect all round. The price was excellent aswell. There was make up on the mirrors and doors. You could see the toilets, beds etc were spotless but the walls and mirrors needed a good clean but I would recommend staying here.

Accommodation in Galway is generally quite expensive, but St Judes' Lodge was good value for money. The rooms were basic, but immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast (for €6 per person) was excellent and well worth it. St Judes is just a short stroll (10 minutes) to Eyre Square. I would definitely stay there again.

Good location, extremely friendly staff and owners, comfortable and clean. Very accessible. Beautiful views. Underfloor heating couldn't be adjusted per room. Proved to be quite rm at times, however opening a window was sufficient.

Staff was super friendly and accommodating...they held our luggage for the day while we went over to the Aran's. This is a bit out of the main town and up a hill if that's an issue for anyone. But extremely close and easy to get to.

Easy walk into the city. Good off road car park. Over priced for the standard of accommodation- although i accept it was St Patricks weekend and everywhere had pushed up their prices.
