Clean room Near the city center Friendly staff
very close to rugby ground- excellent location
The comortable bed, the cleanliness of the room, hot water in the bathroom.
In the morning it was a little noisy. No free breakfast included
Convenient to City Centre. 10 mins walk
Shower was very weak
Very clean and fresh although a bit dated; nice homely breakfast and ambiance; sound-proof windows although on the roadside
Nothing; maybe a frontdesk would help.
Ability to relax and unwind, fine house, friendly staff..not pushed out the door in the morning
Clearly I'm not the first to discover St. Judes!
Location. Staff very friendly. Clean. Price. Parking. Breakfast optional - if you don't eat breakfast you don't pay for it.
Mattress wasn't great and towards its end of life. Bed room was a bit cold during night, didn't see portable electric heater until morning. Window had a very poorly repaired damp problem.
There was nothing to like about St Judes.
Arrived here on a cold wet evening, and was immediately directed to room 40 which is a basement room not fit to be let to a guest, should only be used as a storage room. Room 40 is a tiny basement room with a door awarkardly opening in to it at a forty five degree angle, the guest must then search with their hand in the dark to find the light switch which is badly located off the angled door. The room was freezing cold, a portable heater is provided, but when one puts this on, it stinks the room with that horrible smell an oil electric heater has when it has not been used for a long time. The room was filthy, with fluff and hairgrips allover the carpet, There was not room to move in it, a tiny little wardrobe was positioned sideways into a corner, its so small it can fit about three garments. The wardrobe proudly boasted two wire hangers which were battered and twisted and should have been thrown out years ago. The bed side lamps were all stained and battered. The room was crying out for a lick of paint and the skirting boards and door looked like they had been part painted with undercoating and the rest forgotten about with part timber showing in places. A small portable tv was perched up in one corner of the room at roof level, impossible to view it in such a small room. The wash hand basin in bathroom was tiny and at a very low level, when i turned on the taps the water immediately splashed on on to my trousers, a great disruption to the guest, when i sat on the toilet i could not sit up straight as the toiled and cistern are too close and the cistern prevented you sitting up.
Rooms clean Very close to the main square
Room really really hot
Friendly staff The room was lovely and spacious Great location (5 min walk to town) Excellent price for a great service Plenty of parking
We loved everything about this place it was really cheap and cheerful, the rooms are lovely and clean and nice and warm as where were there when it was extremely cold out, Really close to everything but far enough not to be bothered by noise.
Good location 5 minutes walk to Eyre Sq.cosy room, nice breakfast buffet
Room had everything you would need and expect in a hotel (except the bar)! Breakfast was excellent and location was within walking distance of the centre with free parking.
Staff there were great, very friendly and drew maps for us of places we needed to go.
Wast very clean,
- staff was very polite and professional - breakfast was very good - location - just few minutes walk from main city square but - value for money (this is not 5 star hotel but it is clean and warm with nice atmosfere)
- nothing really
location hospitality cleanliness
Helpfulness of staff use of computer Friendliness of staff
lovely people, easy to access, good parking. nice food. very clean. Tele is very old. They tried to fix our problem and when they couldn't moved us to a better room.
Shower was cold for the first 2 days. It's presented as an electric, but in fact is from the hot water supply. Either should be good, but mark it clearly. Fittings in the first room were tacky, functional, but definitely past their best. After we were moved, fittings were fine. Tele is too high in the room, ok to watch from bed, but difficult if you're in a chair or moving around.
Staff were super friendly and helpful in setting up tours during the day. They make you feel very welcome and comfortable from the moment you arrive. Breakfasts were amazing. Conveniently located. I'm ready to go back again!
good and practical.
st judes was everything we needed for our wkend in galway,, it was clean reasonably priced,, the staff were lovely and nothing was to much trouble,, returning again in few wks for aother wkend,,
there was nothing i didnt like,, mayb few more channels on tv in bedroom,,
The staff were always present, going beyond what is kind and helpful. The home was immaculate, freshest bed I've ever slept in. As mentioned above there was a small pre-agreed charge for breakfast, but the food was abundant and extremely delicious. We were not contained to a breakfast choice but to have as much as possible. A very picturesque short stroll to town, rental car, and transports. A block past the Rugby field where I saw my first game between regions..still quiet nights, and amazing shower!
I loved everything about this place it was a very spacious double room...
The friendliness Really enjoyed our stay Many thanks
