The hotel was in a great location in the town. the staff were excellent. We had an excellent breakfast and great nights sleep. Would definitely recommend it.
There was nothing not to like
the food across the road in the bar was fantactic, kids loved the pool
Staff were so friendly. A lovely welcome on arrival
Would like larger bath towels
Friendliness of staff Character of old station bar
Everything was perfect
My Wife and I travelled to the Station House Hotel in mid November. It was a long, but beautiful drive from Galway City. And well worth it. The hotel was nice, and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We ate in the bar on the first night. I had the goats cheese salad which was delicious and my Wife had wings which were equally good. On the Saturday the Hotel staff organised a walking tour with a local guide. This was a fantastic idea and a great way to see the area. We visited Omey Island, with the guide and were not disappointed. The scenery allied to the knowledge of the guide, and the packed lunch provided by the Hotel made for a great morning/afternoon.
The only downside I could see was the leisure facilities. They were pretty dated and could do probably with a complete overhaul. Do not let this stop you from visiting though. They were very clean and tidy.
comfy beds, nice staff, good location in clifden but not bang in the middle of main street
Walls between rooms a bit thin, so can hear noise in other rooms at times
Very helpful, friendly staff, and great location.
Lovely staff Location
Room was cold and needed upgrading Breakfast cold and not stored at correct temperature for hot food service Not enough parking on site
The bar was not manned all the time and had to ask at reception for someone to come and serve us
Staff are so friendly and welcoming and made a special effort with my two young sometimes noisy children.
breakfast was great , leisure centre was great, staff friendly and helpful
Could have done with the family room open into one .five. People in one room was a bit tight
Very friendly staff Manager gave us lots of tips for our cycle tour and facilitated us with a late check out as we had a late ferry sailing they couldn't have been more friendly. Food was great in the restaurant
Great location, very welcoming and helpful staff, great buffet breakfast, including fresh fruit, salmon, cheeses as well as usual full Irish. Room, bathroom, etc very clean.
Having to leave, Clifden a beautiful place.
The food was very good and well set out, good variety.
No evening meal in dining room, on the Sunday evening, I was hoping to entertain family to a nice meal.
Friendliness of staff Ease of access Parking Food OK
Dining Room could have been laid out better Food only OK
Location, all services, food, ease of walking to any section of town, close to church, and easy to find
It's a bit expensive and parking is very difficult to find.
Staff were friendly and helpful, if wax our anniversary and we were up graded, food was very good, leisure facilities great, weather was amazing and the Clifden Arts were great
Very busy difficult to park, that's not a criticism of the hotel
Location, Comfort, General Ambience
Noise and disturbed sleep due to early morning refuse collection and deliveries of supplies.
Well situated, nice pub and great menu! We once had a court yard facing room.. fantastic! I think one should pay less for street facing room! But we will be back next year!
Our room was facing the street and was on the first floor and very noisy with no view! Last year when we stayed there we also had a street facing room on the top floor and had a fabulous view that made up for the noise!
Located close to all amenities
Had to queue for breakfast and wait 20-30 mins. for seat
Welcome from reception - can't remember the lady's name but she normally works in admin was standing in. Room was lovely and spacious and great views. Michelle in the spa was lovely and gave a treat facial!
Dinner was very expensive at €49.50 + service charge for a vegetarian meal with no choices!
it certainly is not a 3 or 4* hotel, more like a 2* if I was to rate it.
good food excellent breakfastt
No Parking near the hotel Very hot room Was given the handicap accessible room Very loud
