Ideal location and reasonably priced. We went down for breakfast at 9.30am but the dining rooms were full so we went upstairs and waited for them to clear. However it was 10am before a table became free and by this stage the staff informed us that we were too late and we were not entitled to any breakfast. After much discussion we eventually got some food, basically the left overs so that was very disappointing. The dining areas are too small to cater for a large crowd, but we should not have been penialised for that

Convenient to shops One early morning there was a fire alarm. I was in the bathroom. My wife told me to hurry and got out. We packed our belongings in a hurry and got to the outside along the hotel. NO one..... No one came to advice us or inform us what had happened. I was struggling with our luggages and was extremely distressed. Yet no one from the establishment came to enquire hoe everyone was. This is appalling. We should be somehow compensated. What had happened and the establishment swept the incidence under the carpet is most unacceptable.

Proximity to National Archives and National Library, nice area of city. Twin Room we stayed in was not up to claimed 4 star rating and presented as very "tired" and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom had several broken and loose floor tiles, cistern flush lever falling off, toilet seat loose and enamel flaking off bath in places. Breakfast service was quick with efficient staff but hardly a relaxing experience as everything seemed rushed.

Location on Stephen's Green and quietness over night The showers have been connected incorrectly in some of the rooms (hot for cold) this is known by the reception but no notice is displayed in the rooms. Also there is nowhere in the room to inform you that you must collect tv remote control from reception. Reception seems somewhat chaotic but could be because it was a busy time.

I found staff members courteous and welcoming. Also very helpful with general information. Breakfast was very good. To be honest, I found the pillows unbearably uncomfortable! I had to remove both from the bed and, subsequently didn't sleep very well. The hot tap delivered VERY hot water and didn't have a mixer.

The breakfast and service was really good. It was old, outdated, run down, and too expensive for what you got.

the most friendly staff, the location near the centre and the size of the room. walls seem to be made out of paper -so it is unavoidable to hear your roomneighbour's snoring.

The location is excellent and the guesthouse is spotlessly clean. The guesthouse was warm throughout and even though we stayed in January we had to open the window. I thought the cooked breakfast could have been more substantial, the price charged would certainly cover it.

I liked the helpfullness of the staff. also that the hotel backed onto a garden. I would have liked a mini-bar in the room. Also, my room was noisy at night due to creaking floor boards and staircase over head

Clean, friendly staff, Nice common areas, good decorative order throughout. The towels were too small and there was no bath mat. Many hotels offer small pastries as part of breakfast. This would have been appreciated.

Heidi on receiption was lovely and made us very welcome. Great being able to bring your car to the door and have it taken away to be parked - good value too at €10 for the night. Our room was at the back of the house and was nice and big with no road noise. Breakfast was lovely too. Enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Brilliant location. . On a positive note the lady in the kitchen was lovely. Even though the breakfast was served only between 7-10 we had breakfast early and she was in, she arrived out to us especially to ask what would we like. That makes a big difference. . Brilliant location, reasonable city center parking and good rates. Unfortunately, there is no double glazing and as our room was right on St. Stephan's Green at ground level we got the full effects of the traffic and Christmas carol singers( I am being kind here!!) going home at 3 in the morning. They are playing a bit on the 'Shananan's on the green' name. The decor, especially in the rooms could do with an update
