Ideal location and reasonably priced. We went down for breakfast at 9.30am but the dining rooms were full so we went upstairs and waited for them to clear. However it was 10am before a table became free and by this stage the staff informed us that we were too late and we were not entitled to any breakfast. After much discussion we eventually got some food, basically the left overs so that was very disappointing. The dining areas are too small to cater for a large crowd, but we should not have been penialised for that

Convenient to shops One early morning there was a fire alarm. I was in the bathroom. My wife told me to hurry and got out. We packed our belongings in a hurry and got to the outside along the hotel. NO one..... No one came to advice us or inform us what had happened. I was struggling with our luggages and was extremely distressed. Yet no one from the establishment came to enquire hoe everyone was. This is appalling. We should be somehow compensated. What had happened and the establishment swept the incidence under the carpet is most unacceptable.

Selected Stauntons as it is 10 minutes walk from the Royal Victoria eye and Ear Hospital where my wife had surgery the following day. Staff were wonderful. Gave her quietest room in hotel. As I had no idea what time she would be discharged they did not charge extra for the carpark and were exceptionally accommodating. We would definitely stay here again whenever we need an overnight in Dublin. Very convenient for NCH which is a favourite venue. Next time my wife hopes to sample the excellent breakfast which I had and she missed due to fasting for surgery! Have already recommended Stauntons to friends.

Location was it's best asset. Windows overlooking St. Stephens Green were great to have. Run down condition of room. Noise from traffic. Poor lighting. Room was mish mash of furnishings and not well planned. Beautiful fireplace was covered up by small tv table and gentlemans wardrobe stand. Needed to be repaired and painted. Tile going into bathroom was coming up. No counter space in bathroom to put anything.

The location is excellent; directly across the street from the park. Everything seemed like a 10 min walk away. The front desk staff were very nice and the breakfast staff charming. The hotel is old but clean. It is not modern, but is very cozy. For the price & location, I don't think you'll do much better in Dublin.

I really enjoyed my stay at Stauntons on the Green. It's so central, the staff are lovely and helpful, the room was beautiful and the views of the garden to the rear give you the impression you are in a country retreat! The decor is "antiquey" but kept very well and modernised. The breakfast in the morning was so tasty. I will be back in the future. We found it hard to find with the directions and the one way streets but once you know how to get there its simple!

Very friendly staff that was attentive to any needs. Our room was very spacious. Old townhome that has been converted to this hotel has abundant charm, not sterile like so many modern hotels. Location was quite good across from St. Stephen's Green and 1 1/2 blocks from Grafton St. Several close-by museums, as well as excellent bus and light rail system very close-by. Full Irish breakfast every morning was good, but not exceptional. Heating is controlled from a central location for the entire building, so the temperature in our room was not in our control. I personally found it much too warm, though my wife likes it warmer and thought it was fine.

Loved the size of the rooms and the view from the rooms onto St. Stephen's Green. Great price which included a full breakfast with options for a traditional Irish breakfast and healthier options. The staff were really helpful and friendly.

A lovely stay. The staff and the location of the hotel were the best. Unless the building hasn´t got elevator, at the end, it doesn´t mind a lot. Una estancia agradable. El personal y la situación del hotel fueron lo mejor. Aunque el edificio no tenía ascensor, al final, tampoco importó tanto.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was perfect. Internet worked great which is very important because I was working. Although I had a non smoking room, one night the smell of smoke was very bad in the hall ways and in my room. It was only one night and the staff was very helpful and could only doso much; it was the other guests not following the rules.
