Location opposite the Green. Very friendly staff. Comfortable and clean
No lift so a long walk up 4 floors.
Superb position, just by St Stephens Green, and most welcoming guest house.
If you want to be close to downtown and the historic touristy district this is the place to be. The staff was very helpful in directions. Breakfast is very good and our room was clean and comfortable. The price is great for that area!
Didn't have a lift or elevator.
Brilliant location, gorgeous room overlooking the Green and great value.
Very old, comfortable place. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were comfortable and clean. Location was great!
Superb Location. Nice, big and clean room. Generous breakfast. We'll be back.
Right at St Stephens Green Close to Graphton Street and Temple Bar Decent sized rooms
A little expensive
Location... Good amenities for age of the building....Can't get better than this off "The Green"!!
Great location. Across the road to the lovely St Stephens Park. Close to the Hop on Hop off tour Bus. Staff very helpful, knowledgable and courteous. Excellent breakfast.
Being a 4 star establishment it was a pity that there is no lift. My room was small but clean with a good ensuite. The decor looked tired and shabby in places. I was a bit annoyed to be kept awake by a very loud snorer in the adjacent room! The passing traffic noise was no problem. I can only deduce that the walls must be rather thin as I could also hear the occupants talking the previous evening. I would consider that 3 star is a.more accurate rating. Such a lovely Georgian house deserves a 4 star rating but sadly it does not warrant one at the moment.
this hotel is in the middle of getting work done on the older part of the building. ie Painting and decorating) putting that aside it was a very disappointing experience. It was quiet enough considering you where in the middle of Dublin but the breakfast experience was a disaster. This was a big hotel although it does not look big from the front. The breakfast room was not even near big enough to hold all the guest they had in the time i was there. Food was nothing to write home about and the guest had to wait in a queue for a table for breakfast. The cereals were not topped up for the other guests arriving.Wont be going back there. Not an organized place.
Location Valet parking
Renovation mess not cleared up Ensuite shower room smallest in the world! Reception staff not really interested Breakfast ok but service very poor Not enough staff and bad attitude
Location ,friendly staff, quite room ,very nice of staff to place a welcome bottle of wine in our room
The coffee tasted like bovril so never tried it after first afternoon
This location was perfect for walking to everything. Beautiful park across the street. Breakfast was superb, and really appreciated the fact that they park your car for you!!!
the location.I chose the hotel for the location.
I would recommend it only for the location. The washbasin is so tiny and so low , that that I hit my head every time on the glass shelf above. the furniture is dated and cheap, even if it is clean. The breakfast room was usually too full.
The location for this hotel is excellent. Just a stort walk through St Stepens Green to Grafton st. Plenty of places to eat just around the corner. Our room was alittle on the sml side but very comfortable and quite. The staff were very helpful overall a pleasant stay.
The only issue we had was the speed of the WiFi it was hopeless and extremely frustrating when trying to book flt and over accomadation. The hotel did however allow you to use the main computer at reception desk.
Great location, easy to reach by airport bus which stops just around the corner, lovely room with armchairs and even a mantelpiece for my partner's birthday cards! Quiet, I looked at lots of hotels before choosing this one and definitely made the right choice as it was away from noisy pubs and clubs but only a short walk to reach shops, cafes etc. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good freshly cooked breakfast.
Walking up all the stairs to the third floor but then it is a Georgian building.
Great location, friendly staff and a cosy, though cosmopolitan atmosphere.
SOme paintwork needed freshening up ion our room - grout in floor tiles and shower discoloured a little
The staff are tremendous. The night receptionist was so kind to us. The old rooms are huge and have so much character.
The floor-to-ceiling windows are lovely but a bit dangerous for young children because the windows open from the floor up.
Location. Style of the room. Helpfulness of the staff.
The steps, no lift and I think we had the smallest bathroom I've ever seen.
Staff were extremely helpful. Couldn't do enough to help. the building was clean and the rooms were spacious enough. Great location and no street noise at night. Breakfast was well cooked and good variety.
A small free / pay for tea/coffee bar would be a great addition. Two beautiful rooms upstairs not fully utilised. Breakfast was a bit disorganised and although plenty of staff no one seemed in overall control.
This is a gracious old Georgian hotel, ideally located for exploring the city centre, with the lovely St. Stephen's Green right outside the front door. This guesthouse does not have 'all mod cons' and its decor has not been updated; but that is part of its charm. We loved our spacious room with two large windows overlooking the private Iveagh gardens at the rear. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we always looked forward to returning to our sanctuary each day at the end of touring around the city.
I loved the location the staff were friendly and helpful the room was small but very clean, very quiet didn't hear any noise. The breakfast was lovely service quick again a friendly staff
It is a beautiful building in a great location just a short walk across the park into the city and vole to public transport
It would be good to get breakfast earlier
Convenient to St. Stephens green and Dundrun.
