The place was clean and well kept
The facilities provided was really bad and not worth the money we paid.
They did not co-operate with us and they charged us twice and they did not give back my money
Breakfast was non existent. There were absolutely no towels in the room not even a hand towel. It was ridiculously overpriced.
-no soap or towels in room -no one there to let us in for 25 minutes -minimal breakfast put on table seemed a bother to manager -electric wall sockets unusable to charge electronic device -no exterior lighting when returning after dark burnt-out bulb in bathroom mirror light -room features in need of repair -extremely overpriced
I cannot say enough about how bad my stay was. First I was charged €290 for 2 nights and the following is what I got for my money. I had to wait in the car park for over an hour and a half for the owner to show up after I driving for 4.5 hours to get there. I rang his numbers both his landline and mobile number 20 times and no answer. Finally I texted him, basically to say, make contact or I was going. He said he'd be there in 10 minute it took him 20. The room carpet was dirty and stunk; there was a dirty sock behind the bathroom door, no hot water in the sink. I had to use water from electric shower to fill sink to shave. The tv was from dark ages and not working. Internet not working, Wi-Fi was working but not connected to the Internet. Asked to get Internet working, as I really needed it for my business, which he never did, nor get the tv working. Had to use my phone 3g system instead as he did nothing. One towel in the bathroom the size of a tea towel, asked for another, which I never got. I looked out the back window onto his back yard to see about 20 similar towels drying on chairs, tables and actually laid flat on the back yard concrete to dry, on top of weeds and dirt. This place is a place from hell. I walked on some type of a hair slide that was hidden in the carpet that went through my food. The locker drawer handles were bent and broken. The wardrobe door was hanging off ready to fall down at any stage. I travel a lot and never have I stayed in any place so bad. The All Ireland Hurling replay was on the same weekend in Dublin so there was nowhere else to go, I had no choice, I had to stay. Dublin is a great city and a great place to be but this was a nightmare. I don't know what nationality this man was but he was not Irish, he was a con man. He has two premises side by side. They are both identical looking from the outside and both have yellow doors. I believe premises 186 is the proper one, it looked a lot better.
Comfortable beds great sleep Powerful shower Fridge & TV in room Less than 100yards from Croke Park great for matches
Ringing and double checking that could park car on match day which owner confirmed however couldn't park. No breakfast available even though paid for it
Location was good
Value for money was terrible. Tiny room, tiny bathroom, we had to ask for towels. Poor breakfast selection. I know I booked at the last minute but it was much too expensive
Are we there or aren't we? No light at front door and no house number. No towels in the room! No breakfast as advertised. Room was plain but decent. Shower was moldy. Owner tried to raise price after booking to cover credit card payment. Had to ask for receipt and still not sure if charges match. This place was booked because nothing else was available but I can't recommend it to anyone.
The hosts ignorance was amusing.
Booked a double room, which looked reasonable in the photos. Ended up in a family room with five beds, last decorated in the 1960s, bathroom the size of wardrobe, shower was broken and the shower head was balanced over rail and wall which did not allow adjustment. Everything was a mystery, especially trying to get breakfast. First impressions not good as car park resembled a landfill and lacked weed control.
The closeness to Croke Park and the private parking.
The layout and building of the house wasn't in good condition at all, didn't look great/appealling, cobwebs in the shower, tiny bathroom, floors creaked and very easy hear the babies down the hall. Severely over priced for All Ireland Final weekend when is miles cheaper during the week. Not worth the €169 price tag,
This was not as expected or advertised on Booking.com. It was old, rundown and dirty. No soap, washcloths, thin old towels only. Toilet dripped all night. The B & B also had a very strong smell of incense for those that are sent sensitive. I would not recommend this B&B to anyone at any time for any reason.
The staff were rude and unhelpful. We Tried to check in at 4pm only to be told to return at 5 or 6, the manager opened our door abruptly while we were getting changed and would not give us the key to the room when we headed into town that evening in case we returned with company.utterly horrible experience. I would never return here
It was just horrible!!! The manager wasn't there when we came (he showed up 30 mins. later, no excuse, no hello...). The room was damp, had no towels and the kitchen was fithly and dirty! No breakfast, only toast on the kichen counter and butter with crums and jam on it in the fridge... Obnoxoius!
Not to far away from town centre and bars etc.
We got to the hotel and they didn't even know we were coming. Good job I had my booking reference letter with me. We were told to come back at 4pm as he needed to get our room ready! We arrived back at 4 pm and there wasn't anyone there. We were left standing in the rain for an hour before he turned up and then had to wait a further 45 minutes while he got our room ready.
Love the manager great customer service.didnt like the cat... Lovely big clean kitchen would go back again and tell a friend.
