Being there as a guest for a wedding, our time to discover the hotel was not available, But generally it seemed ok Our room, was not serviced between night one and two, until we chased it up. The card keys on three occasions failed to open the door(s) and we had to return to reception for re-progarmming a bedside light was missing a bulb

Situated on a hill with lovely views. The Hotel is a popular wedding venue and provides an excellent service which we enjoyed. The food in particular was superb. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room in the main hotel was clean and spacious though little 'tired'. A lamp was not functioning on our arrival but was replaced. We had to ask for soap and there could have been a few more toiletries which were not refreshed over our 3 night stay. There was a problem with the hot water in our 4th floor room as it was brown coloured - this is a known problem and does need to be sorted as it would be off-putting for some guests.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was great.plenty choice and tasty. Hotel was lovely and warm on what was a very cold night. Very noisey late at night with people coming in. One person did not have her key and started banging loudly on the door near us.This went on for ages untill I got up to them. No porter seemed to be around to sort them out !

We enjoyed our stay very much in the Summerhill House Hotel..The only unfortunate thing was that when we arrived at the hotel for a wedding reception we were attending, we went to book in and there was no record of our booking even though we had booked it one month in advance, however the reception staff were very helpful and accommodated us without any problem.

The staff were unbelievably friendly and willing to accommodate whatever you needed. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choice. The lady who served breakfast was an absolute diamond and the hotel should be proud to have her as a staff member. The room was lovely and we stayed in the courtyard. Read lots of bad reviews about these rooms but I thought it was lovely and even had two beds / separate lounge and kitchen etc.

We attended our son's wedding reception for 100+ guests at the hotel and all was very well organised. The hotel was able to accommodate a large number of people on differing budgets. We stayed in one of the Courtyard rooms which was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent. The hotel has plenty of parking and is usefully located near the village of Enniskerry which offers cafes and hairdressers and a few other shops. It is also very close to Powerscourt gardens and waterfall. The bedroom might have been carpeted and the balconies could be tiled or similar to mke them more appealing.

My main concern was the size of the room and its location. It was quite small for the price paid and away from the main hotel.

We booked this hotel for a romantic break without the kids and had a reservation for the Gordon Ramsey Restaurant at The Ritz Carlton Hotel. The Hotel has a beautiful old style entrance where everything was spotless. Staff at the front desk were excellent and friendly. Very happy with first impressions. Booked one of the Courtyard rooms not knowing the hotel and when we arrived at the apartment it was spotless but the size of a shoe box. We are not ones to complain, but felt we had to, being the romantic weekend we had planned. Upgraded straight away to a room in the main hotel. Fab and huge. Breakfast was nice. Excellent Staff throughout the hotel. Only one thing we didn't like and that was the courtyard apartments. Cramped and tiny. Not even a wardrobe in it but it had a small ensuite. Would be perfect for a couple going to a wedding in the hotel but anyone looking for the romance might get it but the couple next door will also get it through the wafer thin walls. Recommend looking for a room in the main hotel.
