The "out of town" feel, and the proximity to Powerscourt desmesne. I liked the out of doors seating and the scented (rambling rose) enclosed garden at the front No granulated sugar on the breakast table - I like this on my cornflakes, as do most other people. I gave up on the toast making machine - too slow. I don't like having to "dunk" a tea bag into hot water -no where to put the used tea bag. I had to ask the receptionist to get the bar tender to serve me, and indeed, the first time I tried to get a drink, I couldn't! |

We stayed in the courtyard, the rooms were small, the vanity unit in the bathroom was not properly secured to the wall. Would not recommend the court yard. The main hotel rooms would have been better. All other aspects were good. |

I had booked one of the court-yard rooms (only ones available) and was surprised to find it was more like a mini apartment. Thought it was lovely and would be perfect for a longer stay than 1 night! I had been up in the main hotel and the rooms there were also of a high standard! Lovely! |

Very relaxing hotel in a wonderful location. The hotel seemed to be understaffed. At times it was very difficult finding somebody to serve in the bar. |

Receptionist did not notice our arrival at reception area; Room was not ready upon our arrival despite having checked in; Musty smell in room upon or arrival; Room quite small for double room; Evening dinner main course was extremely disappointing; Hotel appeared to be understaffed; Disappointing experience overall. |

I stayed there as part of a wedding celebration and found everything connected to the wedding excellent. ( however, see below ) yes ...1. on the evening before the wedding, a simple sandwich was unavailable at nine o clock at night for guests to purchase.... 2,All aspects of the gym were with an extra charge, i understand messages etc but believe the steam room/sauna and pool should be part of the basic hotel package.... |

Beautiful setting, romantic and luxurious looking Somewhat seedy, poorly staffed; could not compare in value to others we stayed in over a two week period that cost less |

The hotel was chosen for its location. The hotel breakfast was very good and the hotel generally comfortable. WiFi was not working and we had to fix it - it took about 4 hours to get it operational and one of us was a network engineer. The hotel never offered us a discount for fixing their network. |

Excellent friendly service. Excellent food quality. Very good price. Recently refurbished. Well laid out bar and lounges. Real cosy fires. Keep it that way and no worries about any recession. |

Relaxed atmosphere, minimal intrusion by staff, excellent breakfast service, comfortable bed, handy car parking, very quiet confusing room numbers/floor numbers, were given room 504 on arrival, which doesn't exist, spent many minutes going up and down to '3rd' floor trying to find it, very frustrating after a long journey from Cork |

the staff were friendly and the food was good the room was very small, with sections of unpainted plaster on the walls. It was a bit of a walk, but no one offered to help with our bags despite there being stairs. The tv was limited to RTE 1 and RTE 2 |
