Summerhill House Hotel

every thing was so peaceful and the staff so helpful ,really a great hotel ,tooked away on dee edge of a beautiful village

we found our room very cold , but were quickly moved two a room of our liken | tempature wise,

The staff was excellent friendly, helpful and so very nice...breakfast was delicious and the banquet facilities were top drawer. Orla and Andrew are professional , gracious , helpful representatives of the hotel.

We have a great day , evening at the wedding. The hotel , its staff and facilities went to make a great day. Thank you very much.

nice surroundings and breakfast was good

Definitely not worth 120e per night. Stayed in courtyard where the upstairs rooms were fairly small.Also i made reservations weeks ago for 2 rooms and when i got there they said i only had one booked but they had a spare room available. When i went back to check my booking after i clearly had 2 rooms booked and this happened to other people so i dont know what they were at?

Place was very quiet and in a lovely location. It was only 15 minutes walk to enniskerry village. We spent the afternoon in the spa which was amazing. Highly recommend it, though you need to book treatments well in advance. Food was gorgeous!

Rooms are slightly dated but comfortable

Quietness in the apartments at the back of the hotel.

Room could have had a small table in it and another wardrobe at the other side of the bed.

The food was absolutely first rate. The garden was lovely.

The staff were overstretched at the bar. They were under enormous pressure to cope with the large numbers at the wedding and many customers were dissatisfied with the service as a result of long ques at the bar.

It is a lovely "old world" hotel and the scenery is beautiful. It would be a great location for visitors who want to explore the beautiful Wicklow countryside.

I think they should have more staff as the service at times was a bit slow

Breakfast was above normal hotel standard with a wide selection.

I stayed in a courtyard room and after returning to my room after a wedding I had to find my way to the room in complete darkness as the electricty was not switched on in the building. When I went the reception to ask questions the night porter did not know how to turn it on, when he got the manager to ask for help the manager said to him "theres the fu**ing switch" and stormed away without an apology. I think some of the court yard rooms are over priced as if you are lucky enough to have a ground floor room you get a spacious room with a living room area and smell kitchen however for the same price upstairs you get a cramped bedroom.

Wedding reception which was our reason for being in the hotel was well organised and the food was good

The hotel is run down & needs a total make over . The bathroom in room 209 is disgusting . It is unhygienic . There is a hole in the wall , large sections of tiling are missing , a revolting part bath mat covers some floor defect , floor tiles are cracked , broken & missing , no surface or cabinet for placing accessories , door can't be closed or locked securely . There were no batteries in the TV remote control . It took a day to replace them & still the control did not function . The room rate was OTT . We stayed in far , far superior B&Bs during our visit to Ireland at a fraction of the cost of Summerhill House accommodation .

comfortable, but parts of hotel were unfinished which let it down..over priced for what you get

the handle of the door of our bathrom came off,and the tv was not visible from the bed which we found strange..the stairwell was unfinished,the cleaners were always around but were in the way as you made you way through the hotel..the breakfast room was too small for the amount of guests..some people had to wait awhile and then had to share tables

Very nice hotel for a wedding, food was excellent - dinner and breakkfast and staff were very nice, outdoors was stunning. We had an issue with our room and we were moved straight away without any fuss at all and my sister in law is pregnant and the moved her to be closer to the hotel so she would not have to walk far although she never asked - was very nice of them.

Rooms were just okay although were very good value for money
