The location in enniskerry is very nice.

Over priced. Our first room was not clean and we asked to moved our second room was just as bad. The hotel staff were very rude unfriendly and rude. The bar service was terrible as was the breakfast service. I asked 3 times for coffee in a 30 min period and left without getting it. For the price of 120 euro for 1 night was unacceptable! We had stayed here before and it was nothing like this however we will never stay again!

superb location for city and country walking. friendly, helpful staff. mainly geared to weddings (this was not a problem for us as we were not aware of any noise from evening celebrations) but very quiet and relaxing otherwise - hotel was fairly deserted on the couple of nights without weddings. comfortable rooms with good views.

on the couple of nights in the week when there were no weddings, it was difficult to find staff in order to get an evening meal - I think we were the only people staying on those nights. Once staff member appeared they were very attentive and helpful.

Location, views, friendly staff (warm greeting), excellent breakfast, a great venue for the wedding we attended.

Not normally one to complain but it would have been nice if having made our first cup of tea on arrival, from a well stocked tea making facillity, my wife had not found lipstick stains on her cup. Also on our first use of the shower I found empty, used, complimentry shampoo containers lying about. After a beautiful day at the wedding returned to our room to an unmade bed and depleted tea / coffee bar. These are not complaints just observations.

We liked everything about our stay but wre a little disappointed that our Courtyard room was not up to the standard of main rooms in the hotel.

A beautiful location and well kept hotel. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. Fantastic location for a wedding.

Wasn't impressed being locked out of the hotel at 12.30 at night. Very hard to get someone to open the door and in the end had to ring the hotel to get in.

The breakfast is pretty ok and would not have taken much to make it very good.

The bed linen had tears in them as had the undercarriage of the bed, the bathroom walls were badly stained from leaks, the bath enamel was badly chipped,the bathroom floors were sticky and dirty to walk on. The hotel bar had a stale smell of beer and we waited almost 15 mins for a member of staff to come to serve us but no one came, so we left. The coffee at breakfast was extremely strong and when we asked for a fresh pot it came very weak and was not drinkable. The smell of stale cigarettes as you enter the front door is not a welcoming aroma, overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We were supposed to be staying in the Courtyard but got upgraded to the main hotel. Everything about the hotel was lovely, staff, grounds etc. Were at a wedding there and the food was out of this world. Everything was set up beautifully and really enjoyed the day. Breakfast the next day was gorgeous and will definitely be coming back again

The staff at Summerhill House were all outstanding 5*. The food was also excellent, I was particularly impressed with the standard of the food at the Christening which I attended on the Sunday.

I did feel that some of the decor in the bedrooms was a little tired. In particular the room in which my Mother stayed had what looked like cigarette burns in the beadspread. It was also a little cold in the bedrooms in the evening and I was told there was no way to turn up the heating.

it was for my daughters wedding and was cheaper than booking direct. with the.. the hotel staff could not do enough for all the guests and foe my . .daughter to make her special day a day to remember
