Good size beds & bedrooms. Enjoyed meal in restaurant.

Comfortable, well-located for my purposes.

Hotel is due for a revamp.

Rooms pleasant. Great swimming pool and jacuzzi. Food in bar good.

Many things slapdash. Breakfast was not as good as it could be - flavourless sausages. No-one came to take our order for tea or coffee and we had to continually get out of our seats for these and toast. Hotel had run out of items like butter. Place full of screaming kids. The most puzzling thing was the towel situation. They looked as if they had been in the hotel for years. They were hard and worn, with holes. There was a notice in our room offering towels for sale at 20 Euros a set. We were puzzled as to what this meant. Did it mean that in order to get decent towels we would have to pay for them or that we were supposed to be so impressed by the ones supplied that we would actually want more!!!

We enjoyed the hotel from the moment we arrive, Sean on reception was just so friendly and remembered me from a conversation a few days previulsy. Clean, food lovely, children made very welcome and we all had a truly lovely time, We will definetly be back, Well done

Was waitin well over an hour 4 food staff eventually approached me bout 40mins after ordering 2 inform me that my order had not gone through, I had a child with me and I felt that even though mistakes Can happen this was unacceptable and no deduction from my bill was even offered or few drink etc

I enjoyed it because the athmosphere is warm and relaxed. The 'job' that the hotel has to do gets done, but you don't feel you were being shunted around or 'in the way' or a 'nuisance' for being there. Calm and peaceful athmosphere.

I thought the room (408) was a bit dark - the furnishings were too heavy in colour - the 'gold' theme was not of a bright enough gold and the lighting was bit too dull - need a stronger light bulb near the mirror. I was very cold the first night and had to ask for an extra blanket for the second night.

I love being able to get my breakfast sent to my room. It was very well furnished & clean, very comfortable & relaxing.

Excellent friendly staff and wonderful toast we had made for us when we returned cold and hungry from trip to santa at rathwood as bar food had finished! Thank you lovely lady sorry forgot your name .....

I liked the friendly reception staff and they were chatty with the kids the breakfast was very good alot to choose from

I didnt like the food that we paid €40 euro for that was ordered to our room [pizzas] it was like eating paper

The Talbot is a nice hotel didn't get to sample the hotels Liberty Tree restaurant for an evening meal but the breakfast was superb and the restaurant had a nice vibe with lovely views overlooking rolling fields.

Wasn't happy with location of room as it was on the first floor just above the hotel bars outdoor smoking area and it was quiet noisey till around four a.m so I didn't have a good night sleep. So if I return to this hotel I will specifically ask for a room on one of the upper floors at the back of the hotel.

Nice staff, friendly atmosphere, nice gym

It was a bit far from the centre to walk, we had a view of a car park, the other side has a beautiful view of fields
