killybegs is a nice place to stay in. a lot of good sight seeing can be done using the hotel as a base

Location - comfortable room with good view over harbour. Easy to find with car park beside. Reception staff friendly and welcoming. Good choice of bar/ restaurant for meals.

Some generator noise from boats in harbour on first night.

Reception was most friendly and helpful Food was excellent - fish especially - as one would expect in Killybeggs. Room was very comfortable.

I had hoped that there would be more Irish in this area of South Donegal.

The very friendly, helpful receptionists and some of the waitresses were delightful and informative when answering our questions.

The breakfast could have been better. The black and white pudding was dry and overcooked on all 3 mornings. It was also completely tasteless. We also found that the bacon an eggs were sometimes dried up from lying in the hot tray for too long. In saying that, there was always enough so that you didn't leave the table feeling hungry. The evening meals were delicious and the portions huge!

Good 3 star budget hotel in the centre of Killybegs overlooking the port. Good food and worth eating in the restaurant rather than the bar. Ideal location to explore the local cliffs and country side. Facilities limited at the hotel, so not ideal for kids entertainment. Free internet.

At this price and location, nothing to complain about. I was told that occasionally there is a 'fish smell' in the town when the trawlers unload their catch, but not when I was there.

Seemed to be clearly the best hotel in town, and in general all was good. Public car park and the street right outside aren't too busy so no hassle there. Nice comfy clean room.

Ceiling mounted TV speaker is a great touch, apart from when your neighbour blasts there's out! Close the bathroom door and it's fine though. Worst part though was definitely the erratic and highly over censored WiFi. It seemed ok at first, then it wouldn't let me access even my email of Facebook. Pretty much everything apart from internet banking was a no-go for the prudish web server! Also the phone signal was very weak, and everywhere smelled of fish; but that's more the town's fault rather than the hotel.
