Despite the price, we booked this hotel only for the seaview and we requested it before our arrival. However, we got a dirty room with a view on a graveyard from 1st floor... We highly not recommend this hotel.

    Staff were polite and helpful.

Room was a bit scruffy but clean. Some marks and rips on wallpaper. Skirting board corners coming apart in places. Bathroom was also quite scruffy but reasonably clean. This was our 3rd stay at this hotel but felt it's standards have dropped since our previous stays. The condition of the bedroom/bathroom is the only reason I wouldn't recommend the Tara Towers.

Staff were very friendly and food was also very good.

Window in bedroom was falling out from its hinge and hasn't been replaced in the eighteen months since I had the same room 301.

Location and accessibility were great. Staff were kind and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Room rate reasonable. If you get a room facing the sea, the views are spectacular! If not, you see nothing of interest.

We had to choose between having the windows open (in which case the noise of the traffic was nearly unbearable) or keeping windows closed (in which case we roasted!). Breakfast was uninspiring and tepid. Quirky lift - it operated OK, but worried several travellers when it seemed like it was failing.

The location is excellent and suited us very well. The rooms were ok but not outstanding in anyway. The restaurant was nice and the meal was very good.

I felt that the hotel was a bit dated and needed a re vamp.

    The bar food was ok

The key too the bedroom was difficult to operate. Other guests had same experience. Taxi was the most convenient way of getting to Dundrum shopping centre

Spacious rooms, bar area was well laid out and had a good atmosphere.

Rooms needed more ventilation - was very hot during the day and room was too warm at night. Need to replace fix head showers.

    Location was good

The room was filthy dirty. The curtains were hanging off the rail. Blood on the base of the bed. Lights not working. Carpet had burns in it and was so dirty we had to leave our shoes on because our socks were filthy after 10 mins.

The staff on the ground tried to be helpful but were hampered by poor managment

Room location at back was very noisy due to incessant running of large heating/air con plant. Constant noise and vibration. Staff tried to pass it off as a temporary problem but it was clear that anyone in those rooms near their heating plant would have a real problem sleeping. We asked to see the manager - a Ms McGrath I think. Instead they sent up a junior guy with no power to do anything and who offered to get the maintenance man to look at it! As if that was going to resolve the matte. We again asked to see the manager - we were told she was in a meeting but would call us when she came out. Never happened - clearly she didn't care. Our real regret was paying at the start when requested to do so by the staff. Left us with no leg to stand one.
