We enjoyed the stay as it was very friendly and down to earth. The owners were very accomodating. We had a great time.
Very homely atmosphere, Carmel and Dominic were most obliging. Bed and breakfast, excellent. Met one really interesting character who has stayed here on numerous occasions, very pleasant experience. Would like to stay again.
Very welcoming on arrival. Nice clean premises, and central location Bed was very comfortable, great night sleep. Close to the Castlemartyr hotel, the owners offer lifts, which is a nice bonus. TV channels were all tuned in too.
friendly couple running the establishment
Good location, huge comfortable beds, pleasant staff, good safe parking.
Room was too small for size of huge beds. No space left for bags etc. Both bed headboards were loose and hit off walls as one moved in bed.Had to stuff clothes in gap to reduce noise. Worst feature of this place was the paper thin walls..could hear the conversation and all activities of family next door. Glad they were not a newly married couple! If we had wanted an early night I would have looked for another room. When mentioned next morning there was no apology rather the excuse that this 'was a family home' and if I wanted quiet an hotel was perhaps what I should have looked for....
Dominic and Carmel were amazing, the breakfast was excellent, their B & B is lovely, comfortable and the were the nicest host and hostess. They suggested some sites that we visited, which were spot on. We ate at the Thatch Roof Inn at their suggestion, it was also amazing. We enjoyed their company and what a beautiful home. They are excellent cooks - what a treat and as I said the best deal in Ireland. Thank you both for everything.
That we didn't plan to stay longer!
We had a great stay with the tattans :) very friendly and couldn't do enough for you :) breakfast was amazing and the cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding :) if I'm traveling that way again will definitely stay again :)
It was comfortable, warm & welcoming & I had pleasant conversation with owner.
My bedroom was on the front which had road traffic & I had asked for a rear quiet room which he said was not available despite the premise being nearly empty.
Welcoming and warm hosts who ensured our comfort and needs were met. Exactly what we needed for our short stay in the area. Highly recommend it to all!
Excellent Welcome, Very clean room, very pleasant and welcoming staff. Breakfast was excellent.
Very noisy - didn't stay for second night due to no sleep first night. Dreadful breakfast - possibly microwaved!!
The breakfast was disappointing as I had read the reviews and was expecting something special. This is my first time in many years to stay in a B&B so I was expecting the same standard as I would get in a hotel. The house is dated and could do with modernisation. This is not a cheap option and I found the 80e per night to be expensive for what we had. I will not be staying in a B&B again, perhaps I am not comfortable having breakfast in someone's dining room surrounded by family photographs.
Made feel very welcome and was a very homely b&b with a great breakfast. Would recommend
Friendly and welcoming. Charming accommodation. Good parking. Good breakfast.
Tiny ensuite. Stairs.
Very friendly owners
Carmel and Dominic were so welcoming, thoughtful, friendly and informative . Carmel's home-made brown bread is to die for !
A very clean and a nice place to stay. Stuff is very friendly stuff. Room is functional and comfortable. Heating is great. Quit. Excellent breakfast with a wide menu to choose from. Daily paper
Regarding location Well its location from my aspect was excellent but please be advised that it is quite a remote site in a small town. You can hardly find a gas station there. If you are old and has heavy stuff be aware the rooms are at 2nd floor without a lift. WiFi signal may "weak" in "far" rooms
