The location of Ennis: handy to trips to Dingle Peninsula, to Cliffs of Moher and to Galway.
Dinner and breakfast weren't of a good level, but fair..The woman at the reception seemed to be bothered by our arrival and show ed a cold attitude
Proximity to town.
Carpet in room dirty. Bed hard and uncomfortable. Not allowed to have late drink in the bar-requested by staff to take drink to lobby.
Catherine the lady who booked us in and out was fantastic. So so friendly, taking the time to chat to us and make recommendations for restaurants and bars locally. The electricity was out in the town the morning we were leaving she said she would post out our receipt and it was waiting for us upon our return. We had a fantastic and much needed sleep for our 1night stay. The bed was really comfy and the black out curtains the best we have ever come across in a hotel. We did not eat in the hotel but have no hesitation in saying we would definitely return. Hope the management know what an asset they have in Catherine..
Check in was excellent and the (very dark haired) receptionist could not have been more efficient and helpful - as she was to all customers we saw her deal with. A great town centre location.
The staff are outstanding. This was my primary impression.
Location, parking and the very helpful reception staff including Elaine and Catherine, also restaurant staff.
There was a lot of noise due to the celebrating leaving certificate students. However, staff had warned us about this annual phenomenon and we were prepared.
Staff, restaurant and pub
Noisy, can't sleep with open window, no airco. After 4am the nightclub crowd finally went home in cabs and we could finally open the window a little bit.
There was a lovely atmosphere in the hotel.
Food in bar was excellent
Left waiting to check in fire alarm went off on the Sunday morning
In the heart of Ennis, close to everything. Convenient car parking provided. Great freshly cooked breakfast. Enjoyed listening to the excitement of the crowd at the nearby Hurling final.
The location, decor and staff in the hotel, food excellent.
The room was hot but to be fair the weather was very warm. there was noise as others came back to the hotel and the buses in the morning.
Food, service, location - All very good Ennis is a lovely place
TV's need updating and reception was not too good
Located in the centre or Ennis, part of the hotel is an old convent. It has a great courtyard, anf is really quiet, despite its central location. Free parking and wi-fi are good bonuses
Being there in a mini heatwave, would have appreciated air conditioning
Friendly front desk staff, great location near center of town, convenient parking (free), clean, beautiful lobby and library. Fine for one night between B&Bs.
Room overlooking alley, lots of cigarette buttes. Breakfast so-so, restaurant empty, long time before being served (20 min to get coffee), wait staff involved chatting with other customers & clearing tables, buffet emptied of juice & other items - not the Irish breakfast we enjoyed elsewhere. But again just a one-night stay between amazing, so OK.
We had a very nice overnight stay the The Temple Gate Hotel after arriving at Shannon in the early evening. The location was terrific and we walked right around the corner and had an incredibly fun evening at Brennan's Pub. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and a nice value. We really loved the town of Ennis too.
The pub food was tasty and reasonably priced.
WiFi coverage was very weak in a first floor room; had to sit in the lobby to access WiFi.
All good except for breakfast value for money scandalous
Noise at night from outside was annoying
Very central. In Ennis town centre. staff very helpful and friendly. Spotless Hotel.Comfortable rooms. Good bar and food served there all day.
Room overlooking carpark. Bus stop for express to Dublin there also. Bit noisy. Also top sheet on bed would be good as duvet very warm these summer days.
Location good. Warm welcome from Catherine and very helpful. Food ok but have had better in Ennis. Overall value for money on a deal offer.
Hotel feels a bit "tired", cushions bedroom look grubby. Could be dispensed with or new ones. Stuffing falling from bottom of chairs in dining room. Artificial hedging tacky. No control in room for temp. Too hot and couldn't leave window open.
The staff are very friendly and professional
Breakfast was poor for the price
Too pricey, not 4 star, breakfast was a lottery, no cereal dishes, ran out of bread and croissants! 2 undercharge errors on my bill at check out!
Location was good, staff were friendly and night manager was helpful when we complained about the noise.
Expensive at €149 for bed and breakfast. We requested a quiet room (through booking.com) as were looking for a good night's sleep away from the kids. We were located beside a laneway/ smoking area and above a wedding. There was only paid parking available on arrival as guest car park was full.
everything about the hotel was very good. We've stayed on a number of occasions before and always try to book the hotel on our frequent visits. We'll be back. Keep up the good work!
