The Temple Gate Hotel is ideally suitated close to the centre of Ennis Town. The Hotel is complimented by its easy access and with the Hotel carpark and the Counsil carpark just outside the door which also includes touring coach spaces.The Hotel has a very relaxing feel to it. When you enter bar with its split level timber floors you are struck by timber designs over the bar, walls and ceilings where you can see pitch pine timber reclaimed from old buildings including old churches with hundred of years of history used along side more modern timber to create a very relaxing feel while you eat and have a drink.Take a stroll from the bar to a cosy sitting room with a warm fire foe you to relax with friendly staff who took great care of you.10 Out of 10 Great stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful especially so when we had to get our nephew medical help for a severe stomach ailment. Sound proofing not very good. We could hear doors banging through the night and our window faced the parking lot near entrance to the pub. Very loud group outside smoking at 3:30 in the morning after a Saturday night party at the restaurant. We stayed at the Temple Gate for its proximity to the Cliff of Moher & the Burren and it was a quick trip to the airport for an early morning flight home the next day. The town itself did not seem to have alot to offer for a stay much longer than a day or two.

It's location for us to drive to area sights--The Burren, Cliffs of and O'Connor castle in Ballylongford and Roscommon. As we flew in and out of Shannon, the location of Ennis to the airport was a major consideration.

The staff were extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. Room was spotless and our breakfast was more than adequate for anyone with an appetite. Central location is ideal for navigating the town.

The hotel was godd and the bar food very good. Staff were very friendly and informative Stay was spoilt a little by various groups who congregated outside the hotel near the car park and conversed (shouted) until 4.45am. It was a Bank Holiday Monday so they presumably did not have work!!

Tthe staff in reception couln't have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast was served until ten. We arrived just before ten. The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were obviously not happy as they had wanted to clear up and we felt a little under pressure. However we were served a nice cooked breakfast.

Good value. The dinner was average. The bar staff were efficient but indifferent. The Guinness was good. Your hotel Needs good Friendly Bar Staff, of which there is no shortage in Clare. Overall impression...Good.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and great value for money. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in The Temple Gate Hotel and would highly recommend it. Definitely a hotel we would return to.

Firstly we got an amazing deal with booking.com flashdeals! The room offer was for 24.50 euro. I booked it immediately, but had my reservations about it, as I couldn't believe we could possibly get a room for that price! I felt there had to be a catch! There wasn't!! The room was lovely, over-looking the court yard. The staff at reception were so helpful, friendly and obliging. We were so impressed. The location was perfect, and we enjoyed having a drink in the hotel's bar! We truely enjoyed our stay and will most certainly stay at the Temple Gate hotel again.

A good clean modern hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful. I recommend having the breakfast. Some furnishings were a little tired but didn't distract from the comfort of the hotel. A good choice of pubs with food and playing Irish music was only a couple of streets away. Only 10 minutes walk to the bus/rail station if you want to explore other towns.

The receptionist when we arrived had an attitude. I had booked a double room at the agreed rate and I asked for an extra bed to be put in the room for my daughter at an extra cost of 20 e however the the receptionist informed me that 119.40 thT I paid was for one person not 3. No explanation as to how she arrived at this. Double room equals 2 people extra bed means 3.....

Second time I've stayed there with a group of friends to enjoy the Craic during an Ireland v Wales rugby match. Location is absolutely superb if you, like us, wanted to saty in Ennis for a few drinks. No taxi costs to consider. All staff very welcoming, particularly in the bar! Enjoyed my bar meal too. Free parking is good. Overall a great place to stay.

location in the heart of Ennis The hotel was dowdy, even dirty. It had the look of somewhere not even painted or cleaned in a long time. Breakfast was minimal and served by a woman who had very poor English. It was really hard at times to understand her. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
