Night club a few doors down so loud music til early hours. Also not much breakfast choice - they had ran out of eggs and no one was available to make toast.
Fantastic location easy reach of all areas of the centre of Dublin.
Breakfast was rather small and the fry consisted of Sausage, Bacon and Egg. There was no egg when I arrived so it was Sausage and Bacon only.
The cover on the switch for the electric shower was broken and could be dangerous. The breakfast was very bad.
The bed was comfortable and room was good
Staff were very nice and friendly, room was comfortable and bright and airy.
Room not always serviced. Cold water one morning.
Location, food, food prices. Hotel menu limited but very well priced. Breakfast plain but very good.
Good location, good food and comfy beds and friendly staff.
The receptionist was soooo rude!! She obviously hated her job. We were too early to check in so I asked her to put our luggage away while we went out. We came back about 9hours later & our luggage was still in the reception area!(& within sight & accessible by other guests) It isn't possible to control the room temperature from the room, & when we asked at reception, we were told the air con could only be turned off at the mains.. Therefore, the room was initially freezing & then way too warm as the night went on. Plugs are sparse in the room & too far away from the beds and mirrors to be useful. No hairdryer. Dirty bathroom. Only one channel on tv worked. Walls are very thin so you can hear people in other rooms. When we checked out, we left our luggage again (with another member of staff- who did put it in the luggage room). When we came back that evening, the ever cheerful receptionist was back on & started arguing with another member of staff that she would actually have to move & get our luggage from the luggage room. Very uncomfortable & took about 20 minutes to get it from the luggage room which was one floor down!! Finally, another guest commented that the lock on her bedroom door was broken & she didn't feel comfortable leaving it unlocked when she went out. The receptionist said it wasn't her problem & that the woman shouldn't worry because "no-one would go in..." Made me feel a lot more confident.. The other guest wasn't so convinced!
Great location! So central to where my conference was being held, & to everything else we wanted to see and do! Beds were comfortable enough. Breakfast was nice & plenty of coffee/ tea in room.
quite old place.
Location is very good. breakfast was quite good. WiFi was perfect.
We had a problem with a heater that would not switch off. However, the staff was very accommodating and offered a new room.
Really great location and the staff were very lovely and helpful
Could have been a bit more on offer with the breakfast. More staff at busier times. The barman was serving drinks. Taking orders for food and brining the food out which meant could not order a drink as he wasn't there.
The hotel is within a fantastic location. Just the other side of the river from Temple Bar (if you're looking for a more quieter location). The staff were very friendly and let us check in early. The food was gorgeous. We'd recommend the hot wings! Reasonably priced as well. The room was spacious and clean.
The staff and manager in this place are really bad. The only person that is actually helpful is the barman. The place is noisy and just on top of a nightclub or two, LUAS (TRAM) passes by the door. Everytime we needed something the staff was unfriendly, unhelpful and rude. Specially the manager, an older blond lady, the older guy in the evenings and a young irish girl. There was an old guy trying to prolong his stay and when the older lady seen he had a wallet full of cash she was trying to charge him 165 euros a night for one week when everywhere in dublin, except high class hotels, nights average at 90 euros. If u have an option dont stay here!
Dirty brown stains in bottom of toilet. Looks like some sort of repair glue. Advertised as free toiletries so didn't pack any but only toiletries on offer was one tiny shampoo each and tiny soap. Bedside lamp didn't work.
Perfect location. Clean and updated room and decor. Looks a bit of a mess outside but once inside the accommodation is great for a couple do days or weekend away.
Location and value
The tram line runs right outside the hotel and even with the windows closed the noise from the tram was a nightmare. There is also a club about 2 doors down which meant throughout the night it was very noisy.
Great location, very central. Great price, rooms were clean and very nice.
The roons were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. Great location!
old facilities (toilette didn't flash properly, broken lift)
I booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children. On arrival there were only 2 beds in room. Manager told us the max per room is 3....She then moved us to a different room and brought in an extra bed. This should not have happened when booking...
no parking area i had to park in car park but got a discount. plugs were not low enough to make a cup of tea and we never had a travel plug.
helpful and polite staff. the room was clean and comfortable. plenty of shops around to explore
music bar/discoteque close by, can be noisy during night, lift broke down on 2. day, had to carry 2 heavy suitcases from 4th floor to ground floor, selection for breakfast is poor, staff can't make tasty coffee
central location, Luas tram stop next to hotel, easy to reach all interesting city locations and sites
Shower not working probably complained and was seen to straight away. Breakfast was not nice
Was in Dublin for a bit of retail therapy with mom. Location excellent apposite arnotts. Bedroom comfortable.
A few little details - towels weren't changed in the three days we were there and our flickering light wasn't fixed. Also, telly was missing the plug and there were no tea facilities in the rooms. Only little things that I'm sure will be ironed out as this is a very new hotel.
Really close to everything. Rooms were fine - the showers were excellent. Comfy beds and helpful staff. The breakfast was nice.
No TV control or cable so no channels. Flickering light in bathroom. Lift broken down. Breakfast not served until after 8.
Very friendly staff, no problem at all, very willing to help. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice stew dinner.
The room was clean and newly renovated. The bed linen doesn't fit the beds so you have scrunched bed sheets under you! No info book or leaflets in the room with details of check out, breakfast times or what to do while in dublin! A bigger sign outside hotel. I have passed abbey st many times on luas and walking but never noticed the hotel.
Location is really good. Luas on your door, temple bar area just over the bridge. All buses at the top of road. Shopping centre and Moore street a quick stroll. Very central overall to get to trinity, vicar st. Guinness store house . Cactus Jacks restaurant just around the corner yum :-)
