The Abbeyleix Manor Hotel  

The beds were very comfortable, expected a single bed but had a 2 double beds instead, really powerful shower and lovely white fluffy towels. Staff were all so helpful and really , nothing was too much even though the were so busy as the hotel had a wedding for over 250 guest....... they coped remarkable and nothing was compromised for the other guests. Food was very good and plenty of choices. Very relaxed lobby and WiFi throughout for free! Will be back and would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff.

Couldn't sleep due to noise in bedrooms on both sides of us.

It was just an overnight stay but throughly enjoyed it. Food, staff, atmosphere was lovely

Room rate was good.

No one on reception when I arrived. Room very shabby and out of date - no bulb in bedside lamp, hot tap wouldn't turn off so dripped all night. Foyer was very untidy. Bar served very late resulting in very very noisy residents banging doors going to bed at 6am!

The Staff at this hotel were exceptional.. Each and every one...very rare in Ireland these days.. Will definitely be back and will recommend to others .

The family room was very roomy and comfortable. The staff at reception very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast very good and again friendly efficient staff. Plenty of good parking and great location for Abbeyleix town, forest walks, gardens, etc.

The television in the room only had a few stations and poor quality picture.

We arrived at 9 pm at last minute as it was getting late and had two more hours driving to get home . The staff were so helpful , they ran around searching for a travel cot for our two year old and despite the kitchen being closed got us toasted sandwiches and chips . We could not believe how helpful they all were and I will be mailing them to thank them once again .

Great location with a friendly atmosphere, well worth a 10 minute detour off the motorway. Food is good and reasonably priced.

Very helpful staff

The price was good. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The facility was en route to Dublin and it gave us exactly what we needed. A clean/safe place to spend the night with a small child.

There was strange smell of air freshener in the hotel. The ceiling in the shower looked like it had seen better days.

We stayed there to attend a funeral nearby, so location for us was perfect and the price was very good. Really liked the foyer area, and especially the fire. Bar food and breakfast all freshly made. Staff very helpful

Unfortunately , on this occasion, it was not a pleasure trip. Bathroom area could do with makeover but bed very comfy

Walls are paper thin, could overhear every word in next room. Shower in our room atrocious, fittings broken to convert from bath to shower, and output from shower head unacceptable. Could do with a paint job.

Friendly front desk staff, nice hotel overall.

No lift/elevator (that we were directed to anyway), The restaurant staff was a bit rude but the food was good even though the portions were small. Wifi was basically non-existent, only one of the three of us was able to connect. Didn't feel like it was worth the money and wouldn't stay there again.

Clean hotel, very quite location

I'm not sure why anyone would stay in this town - it's miles from anything and there isn't much more than a couple restaurants and grumpy shop owners. The hotel was nice, staff not too friendly, but a good place to stay on our way across the country. Definitely wouldn't go out of my way to stay here again.

I liked the general atmosphere of this hotel - the food was also great and plenty of it. If you want to experience a 'real' burger eat here!!

WIFI didn't work in the evening but this was reported to reception and I wasn't able to connect until the following evening.

The Restaurant and the Staff are superb. The rooms are neat and tidy and the price for 3 nights was so cheap. Fantastic deal.

I Booked through Booking.com so I got a very good nightly rate. The brakfast we veru good and the girls servibg were very nice and friendly.

I filled the Bath to have a bath and when I went to get into it I relaised that the water looked dirty it was full of limescale. Same with tap water and shower water. So basically could not take shower or bath I was in room 209 so maybee its a problem with that room as you had a notice up please excuse the limescale on the taps but I did not realise that if I had a bath or shower the limescale would be in my hair.
