We arrived on a saturday and it was a miserable rainy july day. We had to park far away from the hotel as there was no parking left close by. Arrived into reception and was greeted by a friendly young lady who proceeded to give us our details and room keys. We had two small children and had to walk two flights of old wodden stairs to get to our room and was very disappointed to find the bathroom hadnt been cleaned properly and there was a very stale smell in room with no telephone and a bad television. My brother got an electric shock off the television ariel and the tap in bathroom came off in my husbands hand. The room was very poor for the 100 euro price tag. Lovely view, friendly staff and nice food. Rooms a disgrace. Will never stay here again would not recommend it to anyone. A real life faulty towers.

Very relaxing. Friendly helpful staff. Lovely setting-out of the way yet only a short drive to bigger places-ideal scenario for me! Best of both worlds. Very good breakfast. Only minor faults to me-light not working etc. but minor and attended to promptly and efficiently.

The staff were outstanding, so friendly, so helpful, so efficient and genuine. The restaurant was'nt open so we made use of the bar menu. As bar food, it was gastro quality. The fish/seafood proved a popiular choice among many (approx. 15 in group) and the freshness of the fish and the way it was prepared was excellent. I do however have a sweet tooth and my abiding memory of that dinner was the best rhubarb crumble and custard I have ever tasted. Some of the rooms overlooked the harbour/pier which is just accross the road from the hotel. We were lucky to have a few nice sunny days for our stay at the beginning of october. It would have been nice to experience the restaurant menu but it was close season and what we had was very good. The hotel is an old building and the rooms are more functional than luxurious and represent appropiate value for the price paid.

The view from room 106 was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location was great and the bar downstairs was buzzing with a wonderful band playing on the night we stayed there. The breakfast the next morning was one of the best I have had in any hotel. The garlic mushrooms that I had in the evening was one big mushroom with cheese in it. It wasn't very nice. The rest of the food was really good and plenty of it.

Mainly the location ~I thought there could have been more choice at Breakfast. The atmosphere in the bar area could have been more appealing

The view over the bay and harbour from our bedroom window was fantastic. The children really loved it but didn't get a chance to play on the wifit always in use by other older children. Breakfast was good too got everything we needed. Hotel was clean. No lift, husband has disability and found stairs to top floor difficult to negotiate. The tv, expected a more up-to-date screen with a remote.

Room had a good view over the sea. Staff mainly pleasant. Bit run down and poor facilities in room - no shampoo or shower gel supplied which I would have expected for 3* hotel. Just lacked any atmosphere.

Location was excellent and staff friendly Small tiny television with very poor reception. Room smelly, over kitchen. Tired and dated. More like an old folks home.

The receptionist was brilliant,so friendly helpful. Being 6 months pregnant and requesting extra pillows on check-in....they arrived just as we put the key in the room! Anything that was asked was not a problem and staff were brilliant. The room was really comfortable and cosy. Bar food was great and the entertainment was better than expected. All in all great value for money, and a spectacular location.

My favourite thing about this hotel apart from the stunning location was the staff, they were so friendly and relaxed. They were very thoughtful where the children were concerned and set up the Wii for them when it was raining. Nothing was too much trouble. I think this makes a huge difference when staying at a hotel. I loved the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel too and the view from our room was stunning. We would definately like to return to this hotel and nest time we would avail of the 'bycycle hire' which would be the perfect way to get the best of this beautiful location. Anne

Lovely food and really friendly staff. Gorgeous weather and a really nice view of the harbour from the room. the scenery was the best part of the area. Was disappointed by the beach as it was described as lovely but had cattle and sewage on it. The closed leisure club also was disappointing as it was advertised over the door of the hotel. Would have liked to have more than one room key.....very incovenient.
