The decor in the lobby and bedroom was lovely, different and still very comfortable.
Wé had our 2 yr old with us. On the first night we wanted to eat in the bar, while walking through looking for a seat a waitress approached and asked if we wanted a tablé, we said yes and she seated us. Have us a menu and it turned out she had seated us in the Thai restaurant. We decided we would try it. Asked for a children's menu, they didn't have one but she said half portions were available. She took our order and 10 minutes later came back and said they no longer did half portions so I had to order a full adult size meal for a 2 year old. The food was good but such a waste. When it came I asked for a small spoon and had to wait another ten minutes, the waiter I had asked for it was very rushed and grumpy about having to get it. Not at all accommodating. Such a pity.
There is nothing we had problem with
A friendly, comfortable and strikingly different hotel with great food. What more could one want?
Loved everything about this hotel very modern, great location, lovely bar, helpful friendly staff and spacious clean rooms. All in all a great night stay will definitely recommend it and will be back again.
Restaurant . Bar was great the atmosphere was great. We (my daughter Sarah and I) love the lifts and fabulous Throne's on each floor.
Liked the style of the decor throughout the hotel, nice friendly atmosphere. Thai restaurant is incredible. Nice and quiet in room, bed was very comfortable.
Some reception staff were miserable which was a let down to some of their friendlier colleagues. Location-wise, it's a bit far from the centre of Dublin for the price per night to really justify. Did not like the bathroom door, not closing properly.
the area quit
room services some times mot applicable
room facilities were great, love the bathroom especially the big shower head. The room layout with chaise longue is fab. The bar on a Saturday night is rocking!
Room rate, got through booking.com, didn't include breakfast. At €144 this was a little bit steep for room only.
full marks for originality
most inappropriate design for a hospital- linked hotel lifts are a cross between upright coffins and padded rooms low lighting in corridors suggest a house of ill repute.... by avoiding reference to the hospital location in your website you mislead your clients, however unintentionally
The room itself was nice.
Staff were very unhelpful in the night and at check out.
The staff were very helpful, when I tripped on the curb outside the hotel they bandaged my knee and arm and made sure I was ok.the food in the restuarant was excellent both the Thai food and the Irish food.
The bathroom was too dark and there was not enough storage space.
Breakfast is too expensive give a walk around much better value
Restaurant Room Service
Great wifi connection, large rooms, big shower and free standing bath, huge bed, clean and luxurious
lots of road noise with the window open on 3rd floor
The bedroom / bathroom - quirky ambience
Breakfast - the food was dried out and hadn't been refreshed - limited choice - only scrambled eggs available - a disappointing end to our stay
I had room service breakfast for two at 15 euros ahead.it was cold even the tea was cold.complained on settling bill.got no reduction not phone/ email to apologise .mini bar charges 3.50 for a Mars bar and 6 euros for a tiny bottle of energy drink.rip off if you ask me.
Good location, lovely decor, very crisp and clean room.
Radiators came on full heat during the night making the room ridiculously warm in August. Their is too much selling, Pashmina - €45, buy a book €20. Umbrella €20..Also, No residents bar available after hours, only mini bar in room (expensive).
The breakfast was not worth €15. Very disappointing.
From the second we arrived at the Beacon we were treated like royalty. We were in Dublin for a festival in nearby Marlay Park and arrived at the hotel very early. Though no rooms were available immediately, the man on the front desk - Dmitrius? - went out of his way to find us one so we could have a nap before going to party. The staff in general were helpful, friendly and engaging. Our room was luxurious beyond compare. A massive bed (if we each lay on one edge of the bed we cold not reach out and touch in the middle!) with under lighting to set the mood; big comfy leather couch; a rainforest shower in a beautiful glass-paned bathroom; fantastic TV; minibar; complimentary toiletries, use of a bathrobe. The main communal areas downstairs are thoughtfully and tastefully designed. We loved the four-poster bed in the lobby and had a drink there on our tired return from a long day dancing! And the bar was very cool, great music and a chilled out vibe. All in all it was the perfect day and night, helped in no short measure by the fact that our hotel was amazing.
It was our first trip away together and the lack of lock on the bathroom door could have potentially been awkward. The hallways are very dark. Te location is slightly isolated, but perfect cab ride from Marlay Park and the Luas is very close by to get into town. I'm really nit-picking now, the hotel, the room and the staff were impeccable.
Stayed at this hotel when at a gig in marlay park. Good location, quick taxi journey back. Liked the decor of the hotel, very modern. Place was really clean and well maintained. Free parking.
Our room faced onto the smoking area off the bar. Kind of noisy, but nothing too bad.
style and quality of the hotel, choice and quality of the food on offer experience and courtesy of the staff
the only issue I had was the room I booked was not the room I was given this was explained at check in the staff did their best and were very understanding.
it was very clean and modern.
Lift was like a coffin and the corridors were very dark. Very clinical with no atmosphere. Someone was trying to get into my room at 2 in the morning probably because they couldn't find there own room in the dark corridors. Never slept after that. Couldn't wait to leave.
Location, cleanliness, food and staff were awesome.
Room just need a spruce up and tlc
Everything about this hotel is great, onsite parking, comfortable and clean spacious rooms, great food, very friendly and helpful staff
Having to leave :(
