Stayed at this hotel when at a gig in marlay park. Good location, quick taxi journey back. Liked the decor of the hotel, very modern. Place was really clean and well maintained. Free parking.
Our room faced onto the smoking area off the bar. Kind of noisy, but nothing too bad.
style and quality of the hotel, choice and quality of the food on offer experience and courtesy of the staff
the only issue I had was the room I booked was not the room I was given this was explained at check in the staff did their best and were very understanding.
it was very clean and modern.
Lift was like a coffin and the corridors were very dark. Very clinical with no atmosphere. Someone was trying to get into my room at 2 in the morning probably because they couldn't find there own room in the dark corridors. Never slept after that. Couldn't wait to leave.
Location, cleanliness, food and staff were awesome.
Room just need a spruce up and tlc
Everything about this hotel is great, onsite parking, comfortable and clean spacious rooms, great food, very friendly and helpful staff
Having to leave :(
Very modern and comfortable
Arrived back to hoyel after hours. Stood outside for 10 mins as hotel was locked and porter was away from desk. Raining and this was unacceptable
Handy location for hospital
I would like to see more variety in food not all people like thai foood
I loved the hotel, it was modern and luxury!
I was going to a concert at marlay park, on the website it said it was a ten minute walk, it wasn't it was quite far away and we had to get taxis. It was also very very expensive for things out of the mini bar and the restaurant.
No courtesy bus for Marlay Park concerts so had to walk for over an hour to find a taxi back to hotel
excellent staff at check in
when I booked I didn't know that they didn't do family rooms I thought I booked 2 adults 2 children but when I got there they put us in a king size room and brought an extra bed in, I'm extremely grateful because we had an appointment at the childrens clinic and its right next to it. its lovely hotel would highly recommend it.
Excellent location and proximity to Marlay park. Only a few minutes in taxi, we even walked back that night in a half hour.
Bedrooms were lovely, bathroom was very clean and there is a lovely waterfall shower. The staff are helpful, however, not particularly friendly.
The bar food was disgusting. We ordered a simple panini, side salad and chips and were horrified at how poorly the food looked and tasted. None of the orders were correct, I was served plastic in my food and it also tasted of disinfectant. The chips were re-heated, we asked for fresh chips which in fairness were served, however, they were not up to standard. We complained to the manager and did not have to pay for the food. It was incredibly dissapointing as the hotel itself is beautifully decorated, but, the food is below par given current irish standards. It is very easy to make sandwich and chips. Personally, I will not be staying in The Beacon again as a weekend away is to be enjoyed and not wanting to eat breakfast, or, indeed anything in the hotel is a major let down.
I loved everything about the hotel and didn't want to leave it. It's the best hotel I've stayed in for a long time.
That I had to check-out!
Freshness, ease of access ,and complimentary parking.
Double room very nice bed too small .
Loved the design, comfort location to the festival we attended. Food and cocktails were amazing too. We will be back!
Customer service could be better with some of the staff especially at breakfast.
Location, next to hospital.
Whole ground floor area, awful taste; cold and unwelcoming, and all public areas lacking in light.
Nice chic hotel. Good atmosphere whe. U walk in and nice decor
Non residents allowed to drink in the bar. They got quite abusive to guests and staff did little to intervene. Not a good image
Helpful Staff, Neat and tidy rooms, good breakfast.
Having to pay a 50 euro deposit in advance. I have never had to do this in any other hotel..
An amazing hotel & unbelievable value for money. Restaurant food for both breakfast & evening meal completely unfaultable. Onsite parking which is a great help in this area.
It's relaxed environment
Easily the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff where very helpful. Room was top quality. Bar prices where reasonable. Close to Marley Park. Would definitely stay at The Beacon again.
Cannot be faulted in anyway. Keep up the quality standards :)
Friendly staff,spacious parking,very nice room,
It was very warm when we were there and as our our room overlooked a very busy road it was difficult to get a good nights sleep . In such a location air conditioning is not a luxury especially as we had booked a kingsize room and all such rooms were on the same side of the hotel . The staff could offer us no solution
staff at reception were not very friendly or helpful on check in but different staff at checkout were better
My stay was amazing and I will happily stay again in the near future
