Beautiful older home, perfectly maintained. Excellent staff and breakfast.
Rooms were very small. Cork was not one of our favorite cities.
Cork college was walking distance, beautiful campus
This is a well located B&B on a main road into the city. Very comfortable with a lovely bed and nice shower room. Pleasant staff. Decor pleasantly over the top which provides one part of the eccentric tag.
Breakfast starts late - 8.00 during the week and 8.30 at weekends, not convenient if you are trying to get to meetings. It also takes a long time - there was a queue waiting for a table each morning I was there. The food was very good though and probably cooked fresh hence the wait so I was ok with it. Pay cash if you don't want you credit card currency conversion happening automatically (at poor rates).
Lovely comfortable stay, with a great breakfast.
Room was at very top so being a women on my own with a heavy bag it was very difficult to get up and down the stairs
Angela and Shirley's breakfast. The room was perfect. Bus or walk into Cork.
The Blarney Stone is a beautifully decorated townhouse just on the outskirts of the main part of Cork City. The place was so nice that our spirits were not even dampened by the two flights of stairs to our room. The bathroom has been recently updated, and our room was moderately sized. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection on the menu. The staff were gracious, and even though we were there for only one night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There is a very small car park in front and more space behind the building.
The only problem we had was finding the place, but once we did, it was well worth it.
great breakfast clean and comfortable room friendly staff
noise from the street late at night
Too much sound could not sleep with window open.
Quality fittings, bed linen and very well decorated. Breakfast was very tasty and freshly made.
Tiny rooms and no space at all in breakfast room in the morning. The very small room was full except for two places near window which made getting to buffet table difficult as you had to squeeze past other guests. My porridge was lovely but I hadn't the heart to upset my neighbours to get honey etc from buffet table. Can't understand why adjoining room wasn't utilised. The bedroom was also tiny.
The accommodation's location is excellent and the owner, Angela, is very friendly.
The room is extremely small: there is no space for two people even to stand in the room - one of them definitely needs to get on the bed. The bathroom is also very small. The bed was very uncomfortable and the bed linen definitely needs updating.
Spotlessly clean, very quiet and comfortable, friendly and helpful staff and a superb breakfast.
comfort and friendliness
disappointed that wifi unavailable
Only 5euro for a taxi home from town. Lovely staff!
The Blarney Stone was very clean quaint and comfortable. We had a lovely room (small but very nice) and the staff were really helpful. Breakfast was good.
The staff is very friendly and helpful Great breakfast and the room was clean. Great to have WiFi
The traffic on Western Road disturbed my sleep

Bedroom was a room facing the back of the building so bedroom very dark
The Blarney Stone Guesthouse is a beautifully appointed place to spend your time in Cork. They were so incredibly friendly, even giving us wonderful "back road" directions to Blarney Castle! There is parking available, & it is within walking distance of some great little pub areas, without being in the madness of "city center," & yet still very close that it's incredibly easily accessible. Ultimately it was a perfect location. The rooms are comfortable and lovely, not to mention the wonderful breakfast. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
My only issue (or non issue, really) was that I struggled to connect to their Wi-Fi. I was able to get it, but truly, on vacation, I do not need to be readily available to the outside world! When it came right down to it, I COULD connect, and to be honest, I am also not very tech savvy so it could have been me!
Friendly owner and welcome. Wonderful breakfast in a sunny room.
Some rooms had not much airflow and was a very warm night. Also some noise from surrounding properties. But would stay there again.
Beautifully maintained property. Excellent facilities and breakfast. Good location.
lovely friendly staff/owners. Excellent comfortable bed with good standard of furnishings and fittings. Lovely bathroom ensuite.
Room was a bit narrow for a twin and didnt have space for a bedside locker.
Clean and staff was friendly.
Very hard to find. Rooms are very small.
Owner was lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble. breakfast was great. Great location and felt that my car would be safe in the car park.
I was in a single room, bed was very uncomfortable, clearly an older bed that had a good few lumps in it. I made the owner aware I was leaving very early in the morning, at this point in time she should have made me aware that the hot water did not come on until 6.30am, I went to bed after a very late arrival with the intention of showering in the morning to wake up and find only cold water. In addition to this the WIFI does not connect when you are on the third floor.
