Staff were so welcoming. Id recommend this place to anyone, I went with a group of friends but it is an amazing place even for couples. As it is modern but with an old romantic side to it!. Had breakfast also and it was delicious!. Couldn't fault it in a way.
Everything at this property was well-done. Pierce is a delightful conversationalist. His wife, Joan, was very welcoming and accommodating.
very friendly and accommodating. rooms were spacious and comfortable. breakfast was excellent. plenty to choose from and plenty to eat.
Corridors were very dark. No lightening left on.

This place is amazing. Our room was huge and had an amazing bed. The owners are very helpful friendly and informative and the breakfast is delicious. Top class b&b

From arrival to departure we were made to feel welcome. The food was delicious and the bed very comfortable. Would heartily recommend the Castle Country House.
JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING BUT QUALITY OF STAFF WAS MAGNIFICENT , NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE AND THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP WITH ANYTHING THE COULD
Beautiful house very comfortable bed, choice of various herbal teas, Coffey biscuits and some foxes mints left in room. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly host. The little village was lovely the two public houses very pleasant and folk very friendly very enjoyable stay.
Pierce and Joan were gracious, informative and full of excellent stories. The property was grand. Loved the castle behind the house. Our room was spectacular - large and comfortable with beautiful decor.
No good restaurant in walking distance, but plenty nearby enough.
Nothing was to much trouble, genuine interest in custom. Exceptional service. The fine details really made a difference.
The atmosphere was charming, the antiques were superb, and the cleanliness was outstanding.
Our Fabulous host Pierce who had excellent advice on where & what to see. Excellent accommodation with little extras in our room. Stunning antiques, great views over his castle and a excellent breaky A little gem!
Should have stayed for a week!
Loved everything about the place especially the owners. They were helpful and so friendly. Delicious breakfast that included everything that anyone could have desired. The room was warm and welcoming. Huge in-room TV. Wonderful bathroom amenities. Can't say enough good things about it. A place to put on the agenda when visiting Ireland.
Great old house with a castle and well maintained acreage. And the care keepers were very friendly and accommodating
Wifi should be free...it replaces the telephone and it is free at 90% of the B&Bs
The location was good for our needs. The owners were very helpful. Breakfast was great and excellent sized bedrooms
Friendly owners helped us into our room and gave us all the information we needed. Roomy, comfortable and great room for our family of four. Excellent breakfast! Great property to walk around on. The tower house, just behind the main house is worth a look!
Rooms were huge, lovely shower and very comfortable, especially after having just spent 3 nights sleeping in hostels! The owner was fantastic and shared the history of the house, very fascinating.
Beautiful home, beautiful large comfortable room with a stunning view of an old castle tower - we loved this B&B. The hosts were fabulous, food was superb - would highly recommend.
Excellent service. The owners were very gentle.
Lovely decor and furnishings. Joan and Pierce will make you feel right at home. The room we stayed in was very spacious and the beds were so comfortable. We really enjoyed the delicious breakfast too!
Unrelated to the B&B - but do not go to Corcoran's Pub down the street. I guess they could tell we were not Irish and they overcharged us for drinks (26 Euros for 3 pints! ). Stick to the other Pub (I think it's Bannons). Pints are not over priced and crowd was much nicer!
