location, value for money
No lifts. It can be warm inside the room.
The staff were always friendly and helpful, the rooms were spacious and comfortably furnished and felt very welcoming, the food was great too and overall the hotel was really well priced. I especially liked that they were able to accommodate us with a continental breakfast at 6.30am when we had an early tour.
There was no air con (not that we really needed it) and the rooms weren't sound proof so we were awakened at 2.30am one morning by inconsiderate travellers making too much noise when leaving.
Breakfast wasn't great
very close to O'Connell Street and lots of bus options at the front door. Staff were helpful.
The room was very tight, I know I booked a single but I actually had nowhere to open my case except to put it on the bed.
Receptionist offered us - without our asking - a smaller room on ground floor as our booked room would have been on 4th floor.
Surface of wetroom floor was very slippery; could be dangerous. Sausages at breakfast could have been better quality.
Location is great- right by city center, good shower.
Oh my- dark, dingy rooms. Very old. Strange smell in room. Bed was fair. The worse feature is you can hear all your neighbors at night- TV's and talking, all floors and walls creaking loudly as people walk about.
We liked the hotel very much they were very helpful storing our luggage whilst we continued to explore Dublin. Would highly recommend this hotel.
80 degrees in the rooms. Busy street and windows had to be open b/c of heat - noise all night from: busses, construction, cars, and rowdy people outside. No parking provided. 5 floor establishment with no elevator.
staff very help full food very good
Staff were very pleasant. The location was very convenient. Bed linen was clean and bed service good.
The decor was dated and in need of amake over . Curtains replaced and paint job. Side of bath refurbished.
You get exactly what you pay for. It was comfortable and clean/
Some of the team didn't understand English at all
Nothing special, just OK for overnight staying.
- location, very central - good wifi
- tiny bathroom - no window that can be opened
Location, easy to walk everywhere and also get a taxi or bus right out front. Clean, but small bathrooms and good beds.
Noise if on lower floors
Centrally located Convenient Helpful and friendly staff Baggage room of benefit Good breakfast
Needed a lift Could do with some TLC internally Room was quite bright Some noise for outside from bus stops
Good value in central location Some redecoration needed but can forgive this as it is such good value
Soap in bathroom too high for when having a bath and some redecoration needed would be good to have hair drier but price is so good
I really enjoyed the central location of the guesthouse in Dublin.
It's a disgrace that Charles Stewart Guest house rents rooms. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Room small and hot. Open skylight above bed which I couldn't close. Just as well it didn't rain!
Good lit and helpful staff
Breakfast wasn't great
Staff friendly and helpful.
The whole place needed a bit of TLC. Has potential but needs a lot of work.
The linens. And the breakfast was in a basement
compact but adequate room with twins, great hot water pressure, big window, nice pillows
very low budget dining area and food quality, inadequate distance between toilet and sink (ouch)
Location is the only good thing
Beautiful building, huge double room, very friendly helpful staff
No breakfast included only as an upsell
