In the heart of the Georgian city of Dublin, this 3-star guesthouse features traditional dècor and furnishings. It was built in the 18th century, and was once part of the Earl of Clonmel’s estate.

Good location close to shopping and party sites.
Nit mode n bathrooms, hair dryers and converters not free. Check out too early at 10:30 am.
Close to the centre Close to Temple Bar Lovely Breakfast Friendly and helpful staff Good value for money Clean
Rooms were a little dated
The Charles Stewart was in a good location for tour buses and walking to the main sites off O'Connell Street.
The walls of the room were thin and so lots of noises from people in adjoining room were heard. The rooms were very hot but the staff said they would turn the heating down. Breakfast limited.
Location and friendly, helpful staff with comfortable beds and really great prices.
Size of the shower room was the only minor fault. Nothing really to complain about!
The location is good and the rooms are confortable. The breakfast is wholesome and tasty.
The room walls are thin - you can hear people in the next room quite clearly
Room was huge with very high ceilings. Stayed at several places during our trip and this place was one of the best. Great location and the staff were very helpful. Great price too!
Great location spotlessly clean generous room size
excellent location at the top end of O'Connell Street. Great for transport connections and eating choices.
It's another old Victorian terrace knocked through and divided into tiny little rooms like mine. "bathroom" was exactly 30" wide. I had to stand on one room to pee in another. But it was adequate for me a single traveller passing through Dublin. If you want something better in the same area, try Cassidy's Hotel 4 door down. Similar prices for a much nicer property. I would have stayed there had i known. Still staff were friendly, breakfast was adequate and cooked to order. Just i prefer something a bit more modern.
Tooo many stairs when you are travelling with suitcases. Very difficult to get up and down stairs with cases as they are narrow
Central location is good. Not the trendy side of the river, but easy access to transport. Staff could not have been friendlier.
The lobby is a bit shabby but the rooms are fixed up and pleasant.
The location was wonderful. .close to everything we needed. The staff was very friendly and very willing to answer our questions
The beds need to be updated. Not comfortable at all
Location was alright, the bus stopped right outside of B&B.
Quality was poor, room was very small. Bed was extremely stiff. Hotel interior paint was literally peeling off the wall.
The location, the staff, the ambience/atmosphere.
The room was a bit stuffy, with no window.
Price/ quality was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful at all times. A very substantial Irish breakfast. The hotel is very centrally located beside O Connell Street, Dublin's centre.
The location to the down town core is perfect an easyy walk to the main interest points such as Temple Bar, shops, restaurants etc. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily. The breakfast offered a variety of choices from continental to a full Irish breakfast . The staff were always pleasant and eager to help
I found the bathrooms exceptionally small but managed just fine!
Quaint hotel, conveniently situated within walking distance of city centre. Room very comfortable and quite large, which apparently is to compensate for being on basement level.
As there is no lift in this quaint old building, we opted to stay downstairs to avoid carrying our bags up to the second level. There appeared to be no porter who could help with luggage. As we had a hire car and there is no designated drop off point, I had to unload luggage and make a few trips up the stairs into the foyer while by husband was stopped in bus zone. Very stressful.
Convenient location. Clean bathrooms , rooms too hot and some rooms windows did not open very far. Breakfast room downstairs very hot and no ventilation.
Very well situated in the city centre. Large rooms, clean. Friendly staff.
The location was great. Many of the tour buses pick up near there, even the airport bus too. It's in a quiet part of town. The staff was pleasant and helpful - my hubby had a bad knee and so they gave us a room on the 2nd floor because there are no elevators.
A little bit of traffic sound if your room faces the street but we live in a city and are used to street sounds.
Love the Location, easy to get around . Great Bus Service to almost any where in Dublin. Restaurants all close by and great food too. Love my Breakfast and the Service was wonderful very friendly staff. Will recommend this guest house to my Airline Industry Employees as a place of. Great hospitality Friendliness. Look forward to another chance to Visit Dublin in again in the future.. thank you all for a great Holiday... Nancy McKay...Vancouver Canada..

Brilliant location Nice breakfast Comfy bed Luggage room for early arrival and later departures Hot power showers Ironing board and iron in room Towels changed daily
Despite booking several months ahead and booking four rooms together, we were given a very small double room with skylight above bed. Eventually changed to much nicer room.
