To start, the service at The Clarence is unparalleled. I travel often, including at Ritz-Carlton and other high-end hotels, and have never been at a hotel with staff of this quality. They were more than willing to help, even going out of their way to offer help before I could ask. I have never felt more like a true guest, staying with a most gracious host, at any hotel before. The staff from top to bottom is to be commended! The location is excellent. With the Liffey and all the beautiful historic bridges on the front door, and Temple Bar Square just out the back door, it's the best of both worlds. The river, churches, pubs, Trinity Coll., shopping and the Guinness Storehouse all within a walk. The room was sharp, neat and very comfortable. I love a chocolate on the pillow at turn-down...but not one thing I can think to complain about. I had a great experience at the hotel! |

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a complimentary newspaper in the morning. There were very few common areas to relax in. There was no bar or proper restaurant. |

Hotel staff were courteous and respected our 'do not disturb' requests as we were not early risers! Room was very small and not what I would regard to be of 5 star standard. Hotel bar prices were very expensive. While staff were very courteous, they were not what I would describe as being friendly, which we have come to expect of the locals. |

All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the one problem we did have was immediately resolved. The bedroom was a nice size and the bathroom really large and all very clean. The cocktails in the bar were really excellent. Also very close to shops and bars. |

The excellent service provided by the staff, They were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I can honestly say it is up there with the best service I have experienced in any of my hotel stays in Europe or America. The central location of the hotel and the really good breakfast. |

Very noisy: staff told me I was in one of the quietest rooms and I could hear chants and noise from the pubs on the back street. No TV only a small computer screen with limited TV programs. |

Rooms, including public space, were beautifully appointed and quiet. Nice touches throughout. All extras were too expensive - breakfast alone was Euro 35. We did not eat at the hotel at all in our 2 nights' stay. |

The staff were terrific, great service! Would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There is no car park, so you either pay for valet service or park a quarter of a mile away in a multi storey car park. |

Way over priced, stayed in Jurys Hotel in Cork rooms may be smaller but nicer decor more mod cons, excellent facilities. There was no value for money to pay the amount of money for just a room. The price, for what you get way over priced as previously stated, breakfast should have been included, no tea or coffee facilities in the room, did not get value for money. |

From the moment we arrived, the Staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were very knowledgeable about the local attractions and were able to make good reccomendations. We were offered a room upgrade to "a river view room" which was lovely. (much better than looking out onto the back of another building). It was however a bit on the noisy side at night - it didn't disturb our sleep too much and is to be expected in a city like Dublin. |
