-Stuff was very professional and friendly -Location ideal just on the border to the Temple Bar. -Very good restaurant and bar -Bed was exceptionally comfortable -WiFi worked nice -Even the Victorian style water taps worked well after some functional steampunk adaptation of scandinavian brains;) -Some shouting from the nearby night club, noise isolation guide good though

The staff were excellent, couldn't have been more helpful. Bags were taken in when we arrived at 09.00 !! without a problem, and we were called to let us know the room was ready.

Room was pleasant. Good club sandwich. Ambience of Tea Room, but food quality mixed. Too much noise from neighboring pub, especially as staff left window slightly open

We left an expensive jacket behind in our room when we checked out. The staff was able to return it to us even when we did not notice we had left it behind for several days before contacting the hotel staff.

The staff upon check out were really lovely and helpful. The tv in my room didn't work, the water was cold, and the noise went on outside until 5am. Not just any noise, but like I was in the middle of a house party - no advance warning from the hotel, haven't bothered double glazing to minimize the noise, and don't even offer ear plugs. Hated almost everything about this place.

Excellent service and very friendly staff. Clean. Easy access to centre of city. Comfortable room. The Wifi system was extremely clunky - the default was not to auto-join, it was tedious having to re-enter each day, there was a pointless need to register. It is not of the standard one would expect of such a hotel. Very noisy in early hours of Sunday morning from revellers.

We loved the whole stay there. We were very lucky to have our room upgraded to the penthouse suite on the weekend that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. In spite of being unaware of this, we received exceptional customer service and care. The staff were brilliant and the breakfast was super. All at a great price!

Good location for shopping and night life. Clean and tidy. Very friendly and helpful staff. Like most hotels at the moment it could do with a bit of a paint job.

Great staff. They really went out of their way to make you comfortable. There is a bar right next door that's open until 3 or later. If you are hoping to get some sleep I'd stay away (unless you are not a light sleeper).

Staff very friendly and helpul. Excellent location. View over the river from the room window. Double glazing very effective against noise. All rooms on the courtyard get noisy at night (unless you close the window). There is an outdoor pub directly in the yard, under the hotel room windows. Breakfast very good but slow (made on request, no buffet), not good for time minded business travellers

The Clarence is situated in a great location next to the famous Temple Bar area. Its Octagon bar is still a pretty cool place to have a cocktail and my room was nice in general. The reception staff are also very friendly. The hotel feels tired and needs updating. The room facilities (i.e. TV, alarm clock) are like antiques and it's very surprising/disappointing you are not given tea making facilities or a dressing gown & slippers. There is also a serious problem with thermo-control, as the hotel is like an oven the whole time! It was also way too hot 8 years ago, so no change there. In short, I think the hotel could be great but it's currently not on a par with some of the other large luxury hotels in Dublin, which is a shame as the owners could afford to spend some money on it!

Location to temple bar was OUTSTANDING! This alone is worth the price. Great place just to visit dublin. Bono had some sort of shin-dig on the roof the first night which was a party till the sun comes up type thing... You could hear it in the room. Sounded fun tough

You are well looked after by all staff, everyone has a smile and is ready to have a little chat. Still no kettle in room, this really is a basic need that should be sorted out asap. Parking is extremely expensive, I appreciated the valet service but 25 euros per day is very expensive.
