The staff were extreamley helpful in getting our room ready we had had a very early flight to complete some business but finished early at lunchtime, went to hotel they sent us away for a coffee but looked after baggage, 1 coffee later our room was ready Thank you
Nightclub and Noise Dont try to sleep before 4am
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Temple Bar was on the back door step, and it is within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be in Dublin.
Our room was very warm with just a fan to cool it down. We couldnt open the window as we were overlooking the outside area of a pub, so it was very noisy until about 4am.
- Very noisy at back of hotel with bars and buskers on the street until late. - Single glazed glass so could hear everything going on outside.
Lovely room with high quality furnishings and tasteful décor. Staff were very helpful and obliging. Interesting bar. Very handy location.
Nothing apart from the rainy weather!!
The staff at reception clearly needed a lot of training and guidance but everyone had a smile which goes a long way. We were showed to our room by a lovely Spanish gent from reception. Staff in the restaurant were very nice and we enjoyed the food.
The room lacked personality. I thought, being Bono's hotel and promoting a rock and roll ambience, we would be in an alternative life style hotel. Turned out to be an ordinary room, reminded me of premier in with all the purples and ikea type of furniture. The staff at the bar was unpleasant to us when we ordered drinks, telling us it was time to close and we would have to go soon. No problem with the opening times, but please say it in a nicer way! Apart from that, it was a ok stay, just don't expect to build any special memories in this hotel.
The staff was ready for us. We had 3 rooms. Very clean and relaxing. Good food nearby and an easy walk to main sites in Dublin with lots of free entertainment.
Two of our rooms well planned but my room was more for tall guy than a short female and hubby. Be sure and get a fan in the summer months.
Staff - lovely and quirky Restaurant - excellent and good value for such quality Spacious room with lots of storage Good bathroom with lots of space for own toiletries Room surprisingly quiet for such a central location
WiFi was a bit patchy Bathroom needed more towel rails A bathrobe would have been good especially as slippers were provided
Quiet hotel in an excellent, busy area. Large room and comfortable bed.
Some minor repairs needed in our room including broken window, blocked sink and missing light bulbs.
The staff was fabulous - extremely helpful in every way. Location very good, especially for travelers interested in the Temple Bar area.
Furniture seemed to be good quality, but for a historic building the decor seemed stark. Wifi was spotty. Rooms were rather warm/sticky and could not leave windows open due to a very noisy bar patio below us (a fan was provided which helped.)
The noisiest room ever, couldnt sleep either night
Location and staff were great, tasting menu was also fab
Right by temple bar area so a little noisy in the room and octagon bar wasn't particularly good given the high price of cocktails
Very good location for visiting the city, very close for shops, restaurants, bars etc, nice restaurant at the hotel, food very tasty!!
A bit too expensive
Art Deco style and location of hotel.Good room size, though we were upgraded. Excellent food in restaurant from taster style menu and great service.
The location The staff were helpful & friendly
The noise levels from neighbouring bars at night
Location, restaurant & bar area
Dodgy plug socket in room
Excellent staff. In the centre, close to Temple Bar.
Really noisy at night, both sides.
One of the only smoking hotels left in city centre. We were on the 4th floor balcony rooms which were so clean and very well furnished to high a standard. Was great having a balcony overlooking dublin mountains etc. would recommend the hotel anyone. Staff were exceptioanl to a high standard and so helpful.
Staff was excellent
Overly priced for quality
great location friendly staff and comfortable room good breakfast.
can be noisy if room facing Temple bar.
Staff, the best & very friendly
Wi fi Noisy at nighy
Valet for parking car service
Rooms little small however very stylish bathrooms and general facilities, mini bar selection etc
Breakfast in room came with no condiments and was not the tastiest breakfast by a long shot.
The Clarence was in an excellent location for touring Dublin- our room overlooked the river. The Temple Bar area was just outside, so restaurants and music were nearby. Our room was quiet and it had excellent black out curtains to allow a full night's sleep. The WiFi was excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was not included with our room, and would have been a nice if it was included.
