Score from 67 reviews Excellent
owners and staff were fantastic and the food was great
some rooms are a bit dated
A nice friendly enjoyable break. The food was excellent and the staff could not be more helpful. The showers were powerful and the view of the beach was second to none. If you like to walk I recommend the cliff view walk.
Good service, excellent views, great location, lovely restaurant.
No lift. Decor needs updating. Wifi in rooms required.
The staff in restaurant/bar and cleaning are all surprisingly very young and exceptionally friendly. They were the most friendliest and helpful staff members I have come across in any hotel I have stayed in and they initiated all conversations. Food was really nice and pricing was reasonable. Also, beds were very comfortable and shower was best power shower!!
Bedrooms and foyer area need upgrading. I did think that the pricing of €330.00 for 3 nights Bed and breakfast was overpriced and expensive for this hotel. I have stayed in more luxurious hotels for less than €110.00 per room per night. Parking is a bit of a hit and a miss. Had to drive around the block a few times on each return to the hotel to find a space to park near the hotel.
Warm friendly welcome. Very friendly and efficient staff. Nice comfortable lounge and restaurant, with a good atmosphere, and fabulous view out on the beach and Atlantic Ocean. Good size bedrooms with comfortable bed. Home cooked meals, just delicious.
No Wifi in bedrooms
This hotel is excelent for groups that enjoy a good night out. The best night we had was in the residents bar.
the catering staff were excellent ,and very friendly,
the bar staff were poor, and showed no interest in there work or the customers.
My son had room no 8 which had a great view of the beach and a lovely balcony where you could sit out and enjoy the weather. My breakfast of scrambled egg on toast was good.
I thought the fry for breakfast was not freshly done - seemed like sausages and rashers were done earlier and heated up. The bathroom in my room which was no 35 was too small.
Good value. Staff young and inexperienced but willing to learn.
Parking a problem
Location was good and had a nice view of the beach from bedroom.
The decor needs to be updated. The bedrooms are small and outdated.
The scallops as starter were perfect as well as the scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Two bedside lamps and the bathroom light without bulb, noise from the bar below the bedroom till 6 am, poor wifi and only close to the reception, very friendly but incompetent waiters that ask you if you want the dessert menu while clearing the starter plates....
The views + staff were brilliant. breakfast room was very nice but didn't seem to fit in with the rest of the hotel, it's like they renovated the breakfast room but nothing else.
Hotel could do with some more modern features, very old looking in the bar and corridors. also wifi only works on the ground floor
Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel close to beach and town.
No bath for young kids.
staff helpful and friendly
stairs no elevator
The highlight of our time in Ireland. We loved this quaint little hotel. Were upgraded to rooms with a view of the beach. Ask for first floor as not so many stairs to climb, and bigger balconies to enjoy the perfect view. All staff were extremely friendly, patient and helpful. The owner, Kevin, took time to advise us of attractions we should visit. We so wished we could have stayed here longer. The food in the restaurant was the best we'd had in Ireland. Fantastic! Will come back again for sure.
Biggest issue was no WiFi in the rooms and poor throughout most of the restaurant and bar area. No elevator, but we were only on the first floor. Limited car parking. Small TV but we were not here to watch it
