walking distance to the town of dungloe..
Decor and strange layout. It was a cavernous building.
The friendly, helpful staff. Good meals - both breakfast and dinner.
location, family friendly, clean and comfortable
As soon as you walked in you could smell the damp and none of the carpet floors had been hoovered the room was ok for a 3 star hotel dust and spiders web everywhere we weren't made very welcome definitely would not recommend the hotel the town of dungloe is lovely we ate out there as the people were more friendly
The bed was comfortable
The hotel smelled musty from the moment you went into the lobby..and had an instant horrible vibe.. It wasn't clean..the hotel bar looked like the furniture was picked up in a car boot sale.. And customers coming in asking if they had sky sports in the bar, were informed, no..they have nothing like that..and also.. The barmaid had to go and ask the bar manager "if" they had it..as she didn't even know this and her working there..the price was over the top for the facilities provided...and this was an actual offer promotion price.. The room doors had to be slammed to get them closed..they provided a regular door key which in my opinion is old school and far from secure.. There was condensation on the inside of the room windows through pure dampness in the place..they even had a sign up in bathroom to ask you to please use towels properly and not waste them more or less, for environmental reasons, which to me is totally ridiculous in a hotel room. It sounded like they don't want to wash your towels. There were spiders in the room on the floor and ceiling.. The rooms were small and pokey and cluttered. We were booked in for breakfast and dinner, and the place felt and looked so bad..we didn't even eat there at all..we went down the town instead..i would never stay there ever again. It was awful..the place needs a massive face lift.
The receptionist was friendly.. And that's really about it. Nothing else was likable about the place.
Pool was out of commission. It smelt very bad everywhere
The smell hit us as soon as we entered the front door, the room was damp and smelly, the decor was outdated, the window latch was broken, the children's play area had a broken open man hole cover, vermin had easy access to this children's football area. The drinks in the bar were past their best before date, the Bord Failte approval they proudly display is out of date by 4 years and for a different named hotel. I would never recommend this hotel under any circumstances. I would urge Booking.com to visit this hotel and review the 3 star status this hotel has on their website as in my opinion it doesn't even deserve any stars.
This hotel is so bad there is nothing about it to like
Friendly, helpful staff, play area for the kids, awesome bar with great views!
The stairs if you have some in a wheelchair or not good on their feet not best place to stay as no lift
The views from the hotel were fab
Not clean, smelly, run down
We found it hard to find but then it was a very bad night
Its friendly staff
People, staff, manager
Damp smell, poor breakfast
Staff very friendly and helpful, enjoyed my stay very much.
This Hotel must have a death wish. despite the excellent location. Rooms/bathroom never cleaned even before arrival;shower OK but pressure rather low;breakfast mediocre and inconsistent quality(cool tea, microwaved bacon.)Hotel needs a thorough clean, white paint on bedroom walls to cover awfull 70's decor;more attention to breakfast quality.Needs major updating-suggest management visit some other hotels and learn.
clean sheets;soft loo roll!;spacious;easy walking distance from Dungloe and good base for this area of Donegal.
The staff were young but really great.the view was lovely from the hotel .
When I stepped into the hotel I was hit with the smell of dampness....not a good first impression, the rooms are in bad need of up-dating and repair, the hand rail in the bath was rusty, the toilet leaked, there was plaster coming away from the roof which I can only assume was due to a leak in the overhead room...but it was a very old leak, the chef did not have a clue, the food was either raw or burned on one side and the management needs to be re-trained. This Hotel has great potential if it were run under proper experienced management...
The staff could not be more helpful and friendly, the sea views were beautiful and the location was central.
The hotel would need a lot of TLC although the bedrooms were clean but basic. Would have been a great hotel at some stage but is in need of a revamp in the entrance and reception.
Location was good, staff were friendly and helpfull
