Location perfect. Good breakfast.
Maintenance man could use an hour in the room to fix a couple little things which really didn't affect our visit, but were a little annoying.
Friendly host, lovely room, quiet location.
Water main broke (obviously beyond host's control) but host expected full payment. We would have rated excellent if some sort of discount given since we were unable to shower etc.
The landlady recommended that it would be ok to drive up to the Gap of Dunloe in the evening as the day's visitors were mostly done and the horse and cart rides all finished for the day. It was great to have the chance to view the gap in peace. Although the B&B is quite isolated it was very close to Kate Kearneys Cottage which was perfect for a drink and hearty meal at the end of the day. The breakfast was excellent and the property had a fresh, bright feel to it - quite different from the more traditional B&Bs we have stayed on this trip.
Very clean. The owner of the property was wonderfully helpful with her local knowledge and advise. She was very welcoming.
The room we had was underneath the owners part of the house. We stayed for two nights. At 11.30pm on the first night the bedroom walls were shaking with the vibration of possibly "washing machinery/spinner" being used. This went on for an hour. The noise was very loud as well. The next night the same thing happened at12.20am. Some toilet facilities were above the room and the ceiling is very thin...no privacy should we say! Very poor 2 nights sleep. The pillows were so hard my ears hurt the next morning. I had to use the towels as some comfort. Surprisingly for a new build house the fixtures in the bathroom were broken, loose tile, bath tap handle came unscrewed in my hand, no shower curtain or shelf to put washing stuff....but plenty of "useless dried flowers/ornaments" dotted around the room.
a beautiful house where sympathy, cleanliness, quiet and an excellent breakfast are ready for you. We stood there three nights, in a very large well provided room for three people, at a price you will normally pay in a hotel, very often a lower standard one.
Modern, clean, quiet, comfortable B&B with great hosts and excellent breakfast. The location was good, too, near the Gap of Dunloe. We especially appreciated the assistance provided by Mrs. Ferris when we discovered that it was a bank holiday and services that we needed were closed. The home-made guidebook to local attractions that we found in the room was extremely well done, and most helpful.
Great food/excellent packed lunch/ facilitated early breakfast/friendly host.
very nice room, excellent breakfast, great ideas from hosts about sights and places to visit in area, all around pleasant experience.
not 4 star accommodation, thin walls can hear people in rooms as you walk past
FRIENDLY, CLEAN GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY WONDERFUL LOCATION
Top quality and very friendly, with a great breakfast. Highly recommended
Smashing Spot! Ideal for the Gap of Dunloe
A little too far out if you are visiting Killarney without transport
John ferris , the owner. Lovely man.
Everything clean, and proper. Room appointed nicely. Very pretty and well kept property. Breakfast was good.
Nothing, It was a pleasant stay!
Big room with good facilities. Really friendly owners and excellent breakfasts
A pleasant stay with a good Irish breakfast.
Cartons of milk for the tea.
Very quiet and peaceful, beautiful location - not too far from bustling Killarney and ideal for exploring the Gap of Dunloe.
Owners are very nice people. Great spot to visit all Killarney's main places - including Carrauntohill, the Gap of Dunloe and the lakes. Also very quiet surrounding which makes it a big differentiator from being in the middle of Killarney.
