friendly staff and based right in city centre. Lovely breakfast and lovely room overlooking Stephans green.
Service - nothing any bother
Friendliness and helpful
Bathroom very good size Large bath
Room was very small hardly enough room to move around bed. Wooden floor needed repairing as it squeaked when you walked on it
the hotel, the staff, the restaurant
The length and size of bed
We stayed fro one night in the Fitzwilliam Hotel and enjoyed every minute. I have to mention the concierge team and also the reception desk staff who were all so accomodating and friendly. Our room was lovely, very clean and quiet. We will definitely be back.
The cooked breakfasts were outstanding.
Service was really excellent, nothing was too much trouble, location couldn't be better.
The bar was very poor for a 5 star hotel, it was the first place I went to in the hotel and it gave a very poor impression, needs to be redecorated completely.
Loved everything about The Fitzwilliam hotel and the five star experience. We also had an unbelievable meal in the Michelin started restaurant Thorntons which is in the fitzwilliam hotel, and to top the meal off our dessert was served by Kevin Thornton himself!!
The fact we only stayed one night!!
Staff are very good, very attentive
Shower control was poor, either too hot or too cold.
Everything ... Great location, stylish, comfortable, wonderful staff, lovely food.... Don't hesitate......book now.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Hotel is fab with very helpful and pleasant staff. Excellent location too, right across from St Stephens green and shopping and nightlife a stroll away.
My only (very small) issue is that breakfast wasn't included in the €189 charge for one night double room.
Very comfortable room which was a great size when compared to other hotels in the area. Chocolates in room on arrival was a nice touch.
Bar area lacking atmosphere!
The noisiest AC ever Bad sound isolation from corridor In general run down, looks like no refurbishment in the last 10 years or more Room service from restaurant not serving what they have in the menu Very poor tv channels selection, plus the remote hardly worked Tiny shower, and no headset so generally you have to get your hair wet
everything was great
Excellent staff who cannot do enough for you. Superb location. Extremely comfortable
Excellent location for all amenities. Beautiful hotel and attentive staff, very friendly.
Only downside for myself was the soft bed and pillows, personal choice, I prefer hard mattress for my back.
The staff are all very friendly and offer a great service. The decor and facilities of the executive room were great. I would definitely stay there again. On arrival there was a Happy Birthday message for my partner, written in chocolate with a few chocolates to go with it on a slate, Great touch!
If I'm being fussy the aircon was a bit noisy.
Great location, comfortable bed and fabulous breakfast.
Struggled to get bags through door while concierges chatted to each other. Door to room opened by cleaning staff twice in the morning at around 9.30am and then 10.30am which woke us up. Also knocked on our door again 10 minutes before checkout (noon). Very irritating. Contacted GM by email yesterday morning but got no response as yet. Was offered a few bottles of water by the lady at the check out by way of apology. Have stayed here twice before and found it fabulous but left very disappointed this time.
Great location. Usually around Christmas we would stay in the Westbury but have found that in recent years it was just too busy and overcrowded. The Fitzwilliam is an oasis of calm in comparison!
I would love if the Westbury had some leisure facilities such as a pool, gym or sauna.
Location was perfect..
No lift to the floor we stayed on, lengthy walk to our room and the hotel was a little short staffed....
Location is unbeatable, staff were excellent and our bedroom was beautifully decorated. Hot breakfast was served to the table, only cold items were buffet. Car parking very safe and a very affordable extra. The whole hotel was spotless.
Our bathroom was very small, more suitable for a single room. The main bar lacks character so we had second drinks in the lobby by the fire.
Delightful room with window seat overlooking a roof top garden. Good breakfast choice. Overall good value for money.
Only niggle was discrepancy between sterling rate booked via booking.com and the rate charged in euro equated to more in sterling when converted. Misleading.
