Free car parking close to city centre location. Free wifi Excellent staff
Not a great view
Very helpful. Nothing seemed a problem. Very good food. Even if not open staff would find something.
No gym or spa facilities but excellent arrangement with an excellent outside gym 5 mins away by car
Everything, except the quality of Internet.
The Internet was very poor.
hotel was clean, had wifi
i had booked 2 rooms a family and a double our bedrooms were on the 3rd floor but loud music from the xmas party kept us awake until almost 2am, my sister had booked 2 rooms also, her room was at the other side of hotel and our elderly parents were put on first floor right over party music blaring, people outside window smoking and people banging on doors till early hours, hotel should use discretion when allocating rooms not a great night
Overcharged £7 based on Booking.com price, No plug in bath, Tiny tv that barely worked, Unclean surroundings, Room was not as advertised and far below standard expected for this sort of price, On Complaining I was offered a possible upgrade but not even so much as the overcharge refunded. Would not recommend and will not be choosing Fitzwilton for future stays.
We had no complaints about this hotel, reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the food in the restaurant.
Staff is very friendly. The room was so lovely. Very big and lovely view. That was my second time iv stayed there. I will go back again
no swimming pool. And tv had no sound and someone came up but couldnt fix it. Thats the only bad. Hotel is lovely
I was very impressed by the standard of cleanliness of the hotel, my room and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. I asked for a quiet room as I was revising for an exam next morning and it was really quiet, not a sound apart from the usual early sounds of business's starting up next morning but that was a good thing as it got me up early. The girl in reception organised a taxi for me but also gave him explicit instructions where to drop me off and advised me where my exam hall was taking all the stress out of the next day. I felt really looked after thanks to her. I had lunch there as well and we were provided with two delicious vegetarian meals which is very hard to get outside Dublin or so I thought. I can't wait to go back again as I would like to visit the attractions of the winter festival and try some more of the Chiefs cooking.
Hard to find driving around busy traffic on a Thursday afternoon but so worth it when you arrive.
door to another room in my room could hear the people next door clear enough
Staff were lovely, lobby was modern. Huge full wall length window.
Room facilities were dated (huge boxy tv, old hairdryer, fraying towels, hard bed, stained carpet, lime scaled shower head etc) I've stayed in nicer 3 star hotels in waterford, so I don't know how it's rated a 4 star hotel.
I love the friendliness and efficiency of all the staff and the lovely, spacious, well appointed rooms.
Not applicable to the Fitzwilton.
great location, breakfast was lovely. reception staff, very friendly.
bar staff, left waiting ages even though he took my order. remote for tv wouldnt work, told staff but nothing dine to fix it. noise during the night, people leaving bar.
Good Room. Comfortable Bed.
Parking options are limited.
Lack of parking Staff member
The staff was helpful but the hotel needs more updating. The rugs in the hallways looked really dirty and should be replaced. The location is good for local pubs and attractions.
The hotel was very clean and front desk staff were very helpful and friendly.
The service in the bar wasn't great. We were given menus but the staff never came back to take the order!!!
we had a lovely meal in the restaurant and as it happened they were very busy they had a party of 40 people in when i went to book our meal i explained we had a special needs little girl with us and 8 would be too late for us to eat so the supervisor Ian told us to come down whenever suited us he had our table ready and he went out of his way to make our evening really enjoyable so for this Ian we cannot thank you enough he waited on us hand and foot and nothing was too much trouble even though they were really busy i think Ian is one of the best staff members i have ever met and to be honest i have been to a lot of hotels 5+stars
I liked the way the staff talked to us in a friendly and natural manner. They were proactive and giving of their time even though we were older people. I liked the polite and prompt written explanation of our lighting fault in our room.
The only thing which we thought needed upgrading was the bath and shower area. The actual bathroom was fine in itself but the shower was not very good, the head was too high and the shower curtain was fairly old looking.
This is a lovely hotel, the facilities and accommodation are excellent. This is the first hotels that I have stayed in where the bed was more comfortable than my own bed at home and the pillows were just right. Thank you so much. PS the staff were lovely too :)
The staff where very friendly and hotel very clean and comfortable
Waiting on the lift to go up and down was very slow which was very annoying
Rooms were extremely warm, minimal anount of channels on tv, shower was not working correctly.
stayed there a lot of times will be going back soon
The reception staff were excellent and very helpful The bar staff were not overly friendly with the exception of one male member who had glasses who was very friendly only I did not get his name!
The middle bed in room 414 was damaged in some way as there was a big dip in the middle, the television was extremely small for a triple room and very few satellite channels and I could not get Wi-Fi !!!!!
Location, big rooms, modern design, complimentary late check out, great staff.
WiFi was described as "high speed" when it was in fact very, very slow. I ran a speed test which measured the speed at 0.5mbps
Bed felt like a box spring. Horrible mattresses. We paid for a large room and since we had no kids with us they gave it to a family. No refund on difference in price. I would not recommend this hotel.
