Room was clean & spacious. Lovely bar & food to match. Free wi-fi & hotel parking. Nice location - short walk to the shopping centres, pubs etc
Room was beside the main road so very noisy with traffic passing throughout the night.
The staff were well mannerd and i was happy with some of the service
I didnt like the fact the lampshade nearly went on fire while we were playing cluedo i smelt a strong burning smell and the lampshade was burning i took photos and reported it to the staff and we never recieved an apology
free wifi, heat, friendly staff
breakfast in bed order was wrong, no butter and some of the order things were forgotten which defeated the purpose of breakfast in bed as I had to ring reception !! Also a strict no smoking policy should really be identified on web sites not when checking into hotel, I was told I was asked to sign a policy when checking in but yet I was given nothing to read prior to signing.
Value for money Food very good Staff nice
Room OK etc
not in a great area & lacks car parking
The staff were really friendly and the facilities were modern and clean
Did gethe any sleep as could here people in the bedrooms around us, people shouting in the halls and does banging every few minutes. Checked out very tired and annoyed. Would not stay here again despite the lovely facilities and location
Most staff were very helpful lovely looking hotel really enjoyed our stay
When in the bar a homeless person wandered into the bar asking everyone there for money even went over and asked a family eating dinner while the bar staff just stood there watching instead of asking him to leave
Staff were fantastic, bar staff were great. Place was spotless. The room was top class and the bed was very comfortable! Highly recommend
Room was slightly too warm.
The staff members on Sunday 4th (night) and Monday 5th am were courteous and extremely helpful.
The hotel is somewhat shabby and could do with industrial cleaning and redecoration throughout.
staff lovely and friendly , food was excellent, hotel very warm and comfortable , will difinatly be going back .
The double bed was extremely comfortable, and there was good storage space. The bed room furniture was also nice.
The beds could have been more decorative in a more appealing way, throws and pillows? The television was not tuned in properly (would not have noticed excepting for the bad weather keeping us in). The bath/shower appeared outdated and a bit shabby?
Nice hotel though in need of some redecoration - staff friendly - I wasn't on the Main Street side thankfully as I suspect it would be noisy
We stayed here just for 1 night but really enjoyed it. Lovely comfortable room, great bar food and drinks
WiFi was all over the hotel. The food in the bar was nice and cheap too. Check in was easy and free parking was handy so after check out we could go shopping and then collect the car
Wasn't very 4 star like. The decor had a lot of flaws and bit tatty in parts of the hotel. I would rate this a 3 star hotel. Room was plain and the window was dirty with finger prints all over.
Free car parking close to city centre location. Free wifi Excellent staff
Not a great view
Very helpful. Nothing seemed a problem. Very good food. Even if not open staff would find something.
No gym or spa facilities but excellent arrangement with an excellent outside gym 5 mins away by car
Everything, except the quality of Internet.
The Internet was very poor.
hotel was clean, had wifi
i had booked 2 rooms a family and a double our bedrooms were on the 3rd floor but loud music from the xmas party kept us awake until almost 2am, my sister had booked 2 rooms also, her room was at the other side of hotel and our elderly parents were put on first floor right over party music blaring, people outside window smoking and people banging on doors till early hours, hotel should use discretion when allocating rooms not a great night
Overcharged £7 based on Booking.com price, No plug in bath, Tiny tv that barely worked, Unclean surroundings, Room was not as advertised and far below standard expected for this sort of price, On Complaining I was offered a possible upgrade but not even so much as the overcharge refunded. Would not recommend and will not be choosing Fitzwilton for future stays.
We had no complaints about this hotel, reception staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the food in the restaurant.
Staff is very friendly. The room was so lovely. Very big and lovely view. That was my second time iv stayed there. I will go back again
no swimming pool. And tv had no sound and someone came up but couldnt fix it. Thats the only bad. Hotel is lovely
I was very impressed by the standard of cleanliness of the hotel, my room and the staff went out of their way to be helpful. I asked for a quiet room as I was revising for an exam next morning and it was really quiet, not a sound apart from the usual early sounds of business's starting up next morning but that was a good thing as it got me up early. The girl in reception organised a taxi for me but also gave him explicit instructions where to drop me off and advised me where my exam hall was taking all the stress out of the next day. I felt really looked after thanks to her. I had lunch there as well and we were provided with two delicious vegetarian meals which is very hard to get outside Dublin or so I thought. I can't wait to go back again as I would like to visit the attractions of the winter festival and try some more of the Chiefs cooking.
Hard to find driving around busy traffic on a Thursday afternoon but so worth it when you arrive.
door to another room in my room could hear the people next door clear enough
Staff were lovely, lobby was modern. Huge full wall length window.
Room facilities were dated (huge boxy tv, old hairdryer, fraying towels, hard bed, stained carpet, lime scaled shower head etc) I've stayed in nicer 3 star hotels in waterford, so I don't know how it's rated a 4 star hotel.
I love the friendliness and efficiency of all the staff and the lovely, spacious, well appointed rooms.
