The design The proximity to the city is not good (15-20 min walk) with the hotel actually based in an industrial estate? Added to this was the fact that despite the very hefty price tag the use of the spa facilities (I.E. steam room etc) was not complimentary - you were expected to pay an extra 20 euros per person - (to get a facial cost an extra 110 euros!!! - absolutely crazy) (the hotel doesnt have a pool)

The freindly staff First impressions were good, but to start with we found pubic hair on our pillows on our first night, every morning for breakfast was a disaster. The first morning we got cold toast, asked for fresh toast and never received it. The second morning we received cold toast again, asked for fresh toast and some ketchup. We were over 10 minutes waiting for both by which time my wife's breskfast had gone cold. The waiting time in trying to order a drink from the bar and actually receiving it is a joke. And what annoyed us even more so was that the lower VAT rate was introduced but the price never changed which sees the hotel pocket the profit. We will never return or recommend. Honestly do not know how it has 5 stars

Colour scheme was lovely & staff were absolutely excellent. The Espa cost €20 pp and had to pre-book, I would have preferred this to be included in the package.

The staff were very friendly and efficient. Lovely hotel but bit expensive. I would definately stay there again. Residents should have access to Spa area without having to pay an entry fee.

Free under ground parking and very good scones at breakfast Just the most ridiculous hotel we've ever stayed at - good design is supposed to enhance not detract! The corridors are very dark - you have to peer at the doors to find the number, the clear perspex coffee table in the room is a shin mangler at night, the bedside lights look elegant but are far to dark to read by and the dining room furniture is humiliating - who on earth can sit on primary school sized chairs and tables and enjoy a meal without indigestion. There are no full size alternatives.

Stayed here for my girlfriends 32th bitrthday it was a lovely hotel top notch and very stylish. The rooms were stunning and the reception staff were fantastic. After dinner we came back to the hotel for a drink or two and being that we where celebrating a birthday we ordered two shots and my god the hassle it caused we bluntly got told that it's a 5star hotel and they dont usually do shots. But seems how there was only us and a another couple in the whole bar he would give us a shot. And I have to say also that paying €20 to use the gym and pool facilities is ludacris especially for a 5star hotel.

We have upgraded to a spacious suite with the view for the bay. Complementary water and good morning / evening care of the room. We had an open fire in our room and tv in front of the comfortable bath. Double shower with plenty of space. Poor selection of breakfast does not match with the rest of the hotel. One sort of meat, cheese and jam. Warm buffet does not start till 9am and we had to wait for a coffe over 10 min each of the 3 days we were there. Service is slow and once we received burned toast - taking into consideration the price - this should not take place.

The friendly fast efficient service...the spa was outstanding, very clean, great service and well laid out The food and wine we recieved was V.poor. The chips were not cooked properly, slightly cold also.the portions were V.small for the price.also the wine was recommended by the waiter so we went ahead with her choice but neither myself or my boyfriend could drink it!!! Also another down fall with the hotel is the lack of lifts.we stayed in room 242 and the distance from lift to hotel room was too far for any hotel.was surprised with this!!!

This hotel is top class I feel bad saying something negative!! But the fact there is no swimming pool is a downer for a 5 star hotel! Also the hotel is unbelievably hot it felt like I was staying in a sauna!!!!

Staff very friendly - rooms comfortable and luxurious. Stayed there before and it always seems to be consistently good. We had a snack mid after noon and it was very average for the price we paid for it. Just a basic club sandwich but we thought that it was very poor for the surrounding we were in.

With its beautifully designed decor and with impeccable style that is a vision of Phillip Tracy, the hotel accommodated our every need with a touch of luxury. I would recommend this hotel to any fashion-savvy, style seekers out there! With works from the likes of Irving Penn in the lobby, any fashion-conscious individual will appreciate the contemporary aesthetics consistent throughout this lovely hotel.
