The design The proximity to the city is not good (15-20 min walk) with the hotel actually based in an industrial estate? Added to this was the fact that despite the very hefty price tag the use of the spa facilities (I.E. steam room etc) was not complimentary - you were expected to pay an extra 20 euros per person - (to get a facial cost an extra 110 euros!!! - absolutely crazy) (the hotel doesnt have a pool)

Stayed here for my girlfriends 32th bitrthday it was a lovely hotel top notch and very stylish. The rooms were stunning and the reception staff were fantastic. After dinner we came back to the hotel for a drink or two and being that we where celebrating a birthday we ordered two shots and my god the hassle it caused we bluntly got told that it's a 5star hotel and they dont usually do shots. But seems how there was only us and a another couple in the whole bar he would give us a shot. And I have to say also that paying €20 to use the gym and pool facilities is ludacris especially for a 5star hotel.

The bedroom and bathroom were so comfortable, spacious and luxurious. Breakfast menu was fabulous. Staff very pleasant. Loved the cupcakes on arrival. Reception area was dark, and also corridors outside accommodation area were poorly lit.

This place sucks. G is for gimmick. A 3* hotel masquerading as a 5*. To put it simply, the G is not in the same league as a Ritz Carlton or any other good 5* I've ever stayed in. Tacky in the extreme.

The ambience created by the friendly, honest staff. We left my wife's jewellery behind in the room safe when we left on the Sunday and when I called the following Friday they had it all, kept in the hotel safe. Some items were of great sentimental - as well as 'street' value so it was a terrific relief to have them back. This honesty and friendliness makes for a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

The decor was bright (except for the corridor lighting), clean and modern; the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and courteous; the breakfast was excellent probably due to the 'air-dried' facility used on the bacon & sausages; and the dinner was really good. Its location - it doesn't give any great views.

I would like to compliment Adrian at the hospitality desk for his superior service. He gave customer service a whole new meaning. With very short notice, he organised a taxi, hairdresser and make up service with such ease and charm, that wow'd me. Well done Adrian. We missed the beautiful floral arrangements that previously have been part of the decor of the G.

Friendly staff, the design; clean and comfortable; The fact we didn!t get the room we requested with a bay view , there was no pool as such, but one was advertised on web site. €20 charge for vitality suite (which should have been complimentary in my opinion) 2 complimentary buns in room (should at least have been a bottle of wine)

Overall an excellent experience from the time we checked in to checking out. Staff very friendly and helpful -just the right level of service I.E. not overpowering yet attentive. A little far out from the city - you need a car or taxi to go anywhere.

This hotel is top class I feel bad saying something negative!! But the fact there is no swimming pool is a downer for a 5 star hotel! Also the hotel is unbelievably hot it felt like I was staying in a sauna!!!!

Room was nice but we were probably expecting a little more. Very quiet and comfortable. Design and colours in main area interesting in a good way. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle it is very relaxing with great service. Breakfast was average. One morning the breakfast bar was almost empty and no sign of it being re stocked. Also the cooked breakfast from menu looked like it had been under heat lamp for a while and was very dried out. Walk into town about 20 minswhich we did not mind but could be a problem if it is raining or you are there for shopping

The style and luxury of the hotel stands out most. It's stunning. Pricey but stunning. I felt some restaurant staff were too informal. Only a slight issue though.

Unlike quite a few hotels the photos do not do the place justice. The hotel is situated walking distance from the centre and looks out over the bay.

Bed very comfortable , room very clean Cocktail bar lovely , staff very friendly . Breakfast room service excellent , hot and great variety and portion size . Check in staff very helpful . Afternoon Tea - would highly recommend this , Service in restaraunt for breakfast not as good we ordered and were left sitting there for half an hour ...wasnt impressed . Afternoon Tea perhaps a little on the expensive side for what you get .... Was expecting the 'WOW'factor when i stayed at G didnt feel wowed at all , decor was lovely but corridors to bedroom dark and dreary ....

The room was very nice and comfortable. The hotel bar and restaurant were very nice. The staff was great. The location was not great. It was too far to walk to get to Eyre Square and the shopping, pubs and restaurants. As nice as the hotel was, I would not stay here again because of the location.

Absolutely loved the G. everything about the room was perfect, the staff were very helpful and even arranged a later check out without the usual unwillingness you get at most hotels. Only bad thing I would say, is the the breakfast wasn't quite up to scratch and the cocktails were very over priced at 12.50e

Absolutely everything was amazing! :) Great location, cant fault it in any way. Staff were so helpful and welcoming, a fabulous 5 star, pure luxury! Will definitely be back! Nothing, Its all amazing, however I will say that entry to the spa should be included in the price of the room. Other than that noting negative!
