Helpfulness of staff of was amazing. They were sympathetic and did what they could regarding the airline losing my luggage. comfortable bed clean room excellent breakfast great value very quiet (I stayed on a Tuesday night) Would definitely stay again!
Wifi was weak on 3rd floor
Great location, staff extremely friendly, reasonable price, would stay here again!
Due to the age of the building, there were some cracks in walls and floors in room, but nothing major.
The location was great and the room was very clean and comfortable. Once I found my way to Murrays Bar, the breakfast was terrific and lasted me all day.
The band playing until 02:30 in the morning was a big minus. I was lucky - I was very tired and went to bed at 8pm, waking at midnight and waiting till it all quietened down a bit before settling down again.
The location is very central to all shops and amenities
There was no toilet paper holder or shelf in the bathroom to put your toileteries, only 1 hanger in the closet - other than that very good
Hair dryer had no plug on it, it was wired to the socket so it was live all the time a fire risk I would say plus the carpet on the stairs needed seeing 2 that was a tripping hazard as well
Hospitable and helpful staff. Good location. Extremely comfortable beds.
Everything was perfect.
Very friendly staff
Little lightning in the room and bathroom Bathroom needs to be remodeled
Great location: easy access; close to the river, Temple Bar and the old town. Great Pub breakfast. Lovely staff. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable.
The noise from the bar downstairs was terrific. (It was a Friday night) If you are up early, or a light sleeper, get a room on the top floor or consider somewhere else.
Great location All staff wear friendly and helpful Bedrooms wear clean Beds comfortable Breakfast was yummy Courtyard was great in the evening. Reasonable price
The outside of the hotel needs some tlc.
the hotel exceeded my expectation for value for money
Staff is very nice and being close to O' Connell Street is perfect for a visit of Dublin. Breakfast in the nearby Pub is ok.
Room Shower Reception Atmosphere Breakfast
I loved this hotel! Staff were exceptional, breakfast across the courtyard at Murrays was great. Room was clean and comfortable although bathroom was small but perfectly adequate. With the live music and sports bar it can be noisy but i was too busy socialising and joining in the fun for it to bother me. Had a blast. Will definately stay again.
No wifi in room...room was just above very noisy bus stop
location was great. Breakfast was great choice to pick from. Staff was always there to help.
WiFi reached only entrance of our room. It was noisy till late but I expected that when u stay in centre of capital :)
Staff are brilliant, the beds were super comfy. The hotel is kept extremely clean and organised. We were heading to a gig in Fibber Magees which is joined on to the hotel and the beer garden for the hotel was the same one for the venue so worked out perfectly for us. Already planning another trip back to this hotel. :-)
The noise of the road and people walking past, but we were expecting it so didn't mind at all!
I checked in early, and although I couldn't get into my room right away, the lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. When I told her I was leaving at 5:00 the following morning, she gave me a room on the 3rd floor instead of the 2nd, so that it would be quieter for me. I totally enjoyed my stay, and would definitely recommend this hotel.
I can't think of anything bad to say about this hotel.
Good location central to a lot of the city amenities. Staff was friendly and helpful.
The Gate Hotel smells terrible, the bar downstairs is quite noisy into the late hours of the night, and the whole place smelled of smoke and air freshener. Rooms are way too small for what we paid.
It was so dirty..
New room - high standard and very well finished. Comfortable and very clean. Very very central location.
The level of noise from Fibbers downstairs (I presume) is so loud that you're really only paying for being in the room NOT sleeping- maybe with earpugs. That's why it's so cheap I guess.
Lady at reception was really friendly. Location was good
The bed sheets on one of the beds in my room had stains on it that I wouldn't even want to guess what they were. Hotel could do with being updated as it looks a bit tired
Room very clean Friendly staff Food was good
Outside front of hotel looks rough and intimidating needs attention
I travel about 80% of my professional time, and this hotel really amazed me! * amazingly cheap * amazingly nice room * amazingly clean * amazingly comfortable room * amazingly located in the city center * amazing backdoor access to a great sports bar * amazingly friendly and staff with great helping hands to get around * great breakfast included at the bar around the corner I dont say it easily about hotels, but I really enjoyed it so much that this would be my preferable choice whenever I come back.
It was a very noisy night since it was a World Cup final and the noise was crazy outside. I asked the quietest room possible and was surprised that it did happen to be quiet.
The breakfast is served a bit late - from 8.00
lovely room, prime location, great bar facilities joining it, clean bathrooms, great shower, lovely beds
a bit noisy because of the bar, but that didn't effect us at all, we didn't mind it when we stayed there!
