Finding the parking area was a little problematic, but the staff was very helpful once I contacted them.
I found the facility - room 103 - well organized and clean, and especially appreciated the direct street access. The noise from the street was not evident once the door was closed. Found the staff very helpful and able to answer most of my questions.

There was a bit of a strange smell in the bathroom which disappeared when it was cleaned but returned after a few hours. When telling the staff though they cleaned it again straight away for us.
Really close to the city centre, the staff are all really helpful and the lady on reception actually remembered us from the first time we stayed there which was really nice.

beds had springs sticking out at the sides and need renewing, too many stairs and didnt say no lift
liked being close to canal

Good value for the money, stayed there 4 nights. Staff was very nice

The wifi didn't work
Location was great and very clean

Staff were helpful and friendly. There is a convenient shuttle bus service to the airport and it is only a short and pleasant walk to Stephens Green shopping centre, Grafton Street and Temple Bar.
April 3, 2015
The room was cold when we arrived and during the night and there was no phone to contact reception (once you have to go outside to another building to go to reception). The heater was just warm the next morning, not enough for March.
Breakfast was great!

nothing wrong to declare, everything went just fine.
Service is just perfect, receptionists gave us the information needed always kindly and smiling and our bedroom's service was supreme. Really close to Temple Bar and the other areas.

It was 20 min walk from city centre. It doesnt seems much, but for someone who is in the city for 2 days every second counts.
The room was perfect to me. One bed, shower, ironing table. I even had tea! I can say that i paid for all that comfortable.

Got a free upgrade to an apartment
March 8, 2015
Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was perfect. Extra glazing on windows ensured a quiet night even though the building is on a busy street. Free Dublin bike terminal (register in advance) outside on a nice cycle path along the canal!

A bit far away from Dublin city center, maybe 30-40 minutes by walking. Breakfast is very expensive, 10 euro per person.
Big and clean room, friendly staff and easy to get (but station near hotel)

It was a bit too cold in the room
Good location, very nice staff
March 5, 2015
the location was great and the hotel welcoming. We stayed in the annex which really suited us as we felt even more independant. There were kitchen facilities which would of been really useful had we wanted to cook but we ate out by choice. I would book here again.

Hot tap dangerously hot. Bathroom floor very wet after shower tho it dried quite quickly. Otherwise very comfortable
February 22, 2015
A bit dated
Free parking so close to the city centre covers the cost of the hotel

The wifi could be better downstairs but that's a minor detail.
The location is second to none and is a short walk to a lot of good tourist spots.

the temperature is too high for a couple sleeping together The room is not that big

This and the adjoining Leeson Guest House are consistently good value for the quality of facilities and friendly staff.

All the staff at the hotel were really lovely and friendly. All of my problems was solved immediately.
January 18, 2015
I found the room a little small for a single room. The room was also cold, could do with sticking the heating on once and a while. But I would recommend overall.
The friendly staff is the gem of the leeson lodge, made things very flexible and accommodating.

As a heavy sleeper it did not really affect me but other reviewers comments about traffic noise and thin walls are not to be discounted. Again as a comparison to similar properties in Dublin this one is located on one of the busier roads in and out of the city and therefore is noticeably noisier than others.
As a contractor in Dublin I have stayed in many similar type/priced properties in the city and this one rates amongst the better ones. Clean and warm. I did not have any face to face contact with the staff as I arrived and left outside of the reception opening hours but a couple of emails were replied to promptly, courteously and informatively. I will definitely lookout for this hotel in the future and happily stay for my usual four night a week duration.
