The Savoy is a boutique hotel right in the center of Limerick, between historic King John's Castle and the landmark of Thomond Park.
Score from 369 reviews Wonderful
We would have bee better pleased if the hotel had covered our parking costs.
Location perfect and decor of hotel is fab
No non smoking rooms
Everything was generally great, though the helpful staff and superb location deserves a mention.
The cooked breakfast was somewhat expensive for what it was.
Nice clean modern hotel. Not a "Boutique Hotel" by any means but a good hotel right in the heart of the city. Nicely decorated (if a little small) rooms. Lack of air conditioning results in the rooms becoming very stuffy and hot. The concession on the nearby parking is a plus as is the location.
The Hotel makes the fatal error of employing rude aggressive and disrespectful security staff to man the entrance doors to the hotel in the evenings. It is such a pity when the majority of the staff working in the hotel are lovely warm attentive people. The Hotel should deal with this individual and employ someone who is more qualified to deal with mature paying guests in a four star hotel than drunken louts in a take away resuturant on a Saturday night. What a shame! Unfortunately it soured our stay and as a result I and none of our party will be returning to this establishment.
Location staff breakfast price
Staff were very impressive, so nice and friendly, nothing was too much to ask!! The lady night porter deserves special mention, an absolute star and a real asset to the hotel!
Everything was perfect :)
Well appointed rooms. Modern & clean. Good bedding. Restaurant had good menu and specials of the day at very good value. Overall staff very helpful in all aspects of meeting our needs.
The staff went out of their way to help. Great pub just across the street. Great location for walking to most of the local site seeing places and the bus/train stations.
We were there at a warm time and had our windows open. The loud music made it hard to get good sleep.
location staff comfort
Its central location
Location grand. Design wonderful! This is a great place to stay in a really charming city. Lots of good dining and shopping within walking distance.
Parking.... but this is Ireland and a city. Breakfast was acceptable but not a grand spread.
Handy to all you needed. Excellent info from host on arrival as to what to do, where to go etc. Neat and tidy.
Very small room which was OK, but -leads to a small bed as well.
Staff nice , great entertainment on friday night. Room was ok expected more for a boutique hotel, very noisy when a large group were checking out at 5 30 am
When we booked we were not told about the festival so when we arrived the first thing we were told was that we would have to get the car out of the carpark on sunday morning before 8 30 am or we would be stuck there till 6 pm, you certainly do not expect to be up and checked out at that time in the morning.
I cannot say enough about this hotel ..we were accomodated with an early check in as we had to change for a wedding ..staff were friendly ..efficient ..very welcoming and helpful with organising a taxi.its a beautiful hotel..rooms are lovely and I cant wait to go back again..top marks for the staff at reception and in the bar ..best ive come across!
Everything was perfect !!
Location, location, location
No atmosphere in the bar
The location was excellent really central, friendly staff and a good spacious room with a comfortable bed.
Parking facilities poor you had to park in a underground car park about a block away and it was rather tight especially if you had a large car or an SUV.
The desk staff are very efficient, helpful and friendly. The room was neat, tidy and omitted nothing that I can think of.
Although my room faced the 'courtyard', during the night I could still hear people making nuisances of themselves, probably somewhere inside the hotel itself. The bathroom was well cleaned, but I could see some mineral deposit stains.
Breakfast wasn't great bacon rock hard and scrambeled eggs swimming in liquid. Wasn't just a one off stayed lots of times and always the same. Next visit I won't include breakfast
Hotel very nice. Great Location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will defo be staying here again :) Also very good value for money.
Excellent location, service, food.
Very central location. Nice food at a reasonable price.
