The location was excellent. I was staying there as I was attending a concert in the o2. The guest house was only a 5 minute walk from busaras where I was able to get the Luas to from Heuston and to the 02. Other then the location there were not many other positives I could give. The bed was comfortable that's about it. The staff were very unfriendly and not helpful! The room was filthy. Cracks in the walls. Stains all over the walls. Balcony door was broken. Shower plug hole was blocked. I could go on!

Staff was friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for touring Dublin. The breakfast was good. We could hear not only street noises, but the man in the next room snoring. Also, there was a broken spring in one of the mattresses.

Friendly staff, good bed, nice to have tea in the room, good bathroom, good location, basic but neat, nice and quiet in the house at the back! changing of towels and sheets to often-for a 6 night stay not necessary to change sheets and especially not the day before you leave! Would have liked to be able to get out on the balcony! The heater was a bit too warm all night and having the glass door open all night would have been too chilly- but it is no big thing.

We stayed in a room in a back building which has a lift, my wife is pregnant and it was very important for our staying. The room has a standard size and the bathroom is very clean. We recommend.

Central position , staff friendly and always on top. breakfast avarage. For my needs I would go back and recc. to others , but bring a pillow. Small room and small closet with only two cloth hangers. passing a vacum cleaner once in a while would be a good idea. Pillows for midgets and cold at night.

Breakfast was good and location is near the main street. I was satisfied with the hotel. Triple room was spacious but room was cold, no heating at all. After staying in room for a while I felt cold.

As we were there as a college party they were able to give us the information we needed before the trip, they look after us completely while in Dublin and were always friendly and polite. The breakfast were great, with a great choice for all tastes, rooms clean and suitable for our needs. All staff were polite and friendly with good advice and information given on Dublin. Thank you

The location was excellent, my room was fine, really good value for the price I paid. The hotel reception area and first building looked worn and in need of redecoration. the breakfast was good. I was pleased with my choice based on what i needed a comfortable base near the centre of Dublin.

Rooms were stylish and clean. They were simple and very good value for money. We were very comfortable at the Glen. The location of the hotel was just perfect and it's only a short walk to the center of O'Connell street. The bathroom was very modern and I was extremely impressed with it as I was expecting much less. We stayed in the out building of the hotel, I don't know how much the older rooms vary to the newer ones though. It nice to know that breakfast is there for you in the morning if you want it, even though we only opted to use the breakfast facilities once. I would say that the good points of this hotel do outweigh the bad, and I would recommend this hotel to other young couples such as us. If you are easily pleased and just want a hotel for a cheap break you will be very pleased with this hotel. I read reviews stating that the walls were rather thin and you can hear things through the wall. I do have to agree that this is true. If you are a very light sleeper such as I am, I suggest that you take earplugs. It didn't bother us that much, but we were unlucky to be next to a room that was quite loud. The nozzle on the shower came out more like a jet-wash than a normal shower head, it kind of made me not want to use the shower. But I don't know whether or not that was just our shower though. Going down for breakfast was rather awkward too, all tables were extremely close together and it felt like we could not have a conversation because you were sat too close to people. But to be fair we didn't really bother with breakfast cos we weren't usually up in time and we made good use of the tea and coffee facilities in our room.

The location was absolutely outstanding. The city centre and everything worth seeing can be reached in 15 minutes. The room was clean, in the bathroom everything necessary was provided. The staff at the reception was very friendly, we could leave our luggages with them for hours after we arrived from and before we left for the airport. In 2012 providing free WiFi is a must. However, the only way to access the internet was from a computer next to the entrance - for a fee. We were having a romantic getaway, so were not going to spend hours on the net, but checking our emails once a day would have been nice. The breakfast was a nightmare... There are about 20 seats with tables in the common dining room. For the record, the guest house has more than 30 rooms. Anyone can do the math and imagine how busy it is during the two hours when breakfast is served. The quantity of the food is ok, could be more, but ok; the quality, however, not so much. Also, while the traditional Irish version scored a C for us, the continental alternative is a big F, because some corn flakes is not a breakfast. Nevertheless, the place is still recommended.

The Glen Guesthouse, was clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and it was in a great location for the bus to the Airport and to get to the centre. The breakfast in the morning was really nice and staff were really good. The only thing I would say was the noise from other people who were staying there, they did intend on making alot of noise and one night we got no sleep at all. Apart from that it was fine, basic accomodation but clean, the beds were really comfy. I will be booking again for a family room for myself and my family.

The position The hotel is overpriced, it is very very simple. You can find something better if you go out a bit from the centre. At breakfast there were not enough tables for the guests and people had to wait!
