Score from 410 reviews Very good
Good location with a bus stop outside the hotel to airport
Could make with a continental breakfast as well.
It was clean, small and comfortable. Just what we needed as we spent most of the time exploring anyway.
The bed wasn't hugely comfortable but okay for a short weekend stay.
Breakfast Room was easy to warm Shower was lovely
Location felt dodge Paper thin walls let noise in Didn't really trust the staff
comfy bed spacious bathroom
the receptionist were quite cold, not very smiley or chatty and the reception smelt very musty but don't let this put you off. The carpets were stained in the bedroom but otherwise good value for money
The room was comfortable and big. Clean and quiet. In the morning a good breakfast.
great value for money.
Amazing staff!! Very nice people! Room is a little bit simple, but for reasonable price.
The location was great, very close to Busaras and O'Connell street. The free breakfast was delicious. The room was kept nice and warm, the bed was comfortable, and staff was friendly. We have found our new preferred spot in Dublin!
Nothing bad to say!
Manager/Owner was helpful in getting us a heater for our room for the second day. Only for the heating issue I would recommend the Glen Guesthouse as it was clean and breakfast was good.
No heating in our room for the first night in December not ideal. First gentleman we spoke to did not help to resolve the problem so spent the night very cold in our beds.
very well located, easy to get/go to/from the airport.
Breakfast, cleaning, staff
Location, cleaniness, staff.
walking distance to most places in the city centre
The staff "3 of them" knocked on my door 11:30 saying i need to get out, the time was up, they need to clean the room!!! in exactly those words! no manners at all! I asked her for 10 minutes to finish pack my bags and she said no no no "bad english, bad manners!!! then I said 5 minutes pls? the she said ok! she was back 3 minutes after and said "Sorry u need to get out!" I was out of there 11:45! I know they check out is 11am but if u are thinking of staying there make sure u do get out of there 11am otherwise they will make u feel like shit!!! communication couldn't be worse!!! the twin room I stayed is very small, the 2 bed were smashed to each other and to the walls, the carpet was also dirty! wouldn't recommend to nobody to stay there!
definitely value for money, we were staying in the new building so everything new and clean
breakfast- staff coming with a piece of paper, asking you to read and choose whilst they wait, at 9:55, as bfast finishing at 10:00, i was told there is no more coffee available; be a bit more flexible
Location was okay but definitely safe, the room rate of €33 with breakfast was excellent, the room was decent, the guesthouse was very very clean, the bathroom was excellent. I've read slightly negative rereviews about the staff but I would have to strongly disagree. Yes, some staff at reception had little English however you could see that their intention was to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I enjoyed the friendly conversations and service from the catering staff. I would have no problem recommending this guest house to anyone working in Dublin for a week. If you are looking for safe, clean, basic accommodation then you should consider this guesthouse. Selfishly, I hope that this guesthouse does not become too popular because I will be looking to stay there again when I am working in Dublin.
My only negative was that I could hear the air conditioning vents all night which disrupted my sleep.
position and costumers friendly
Hotel Ok, with nice Irish breakfast included.
The noise coming from the small house in the yard which started and stoped all night keeping us awake all night
Easy walking distance of shopping etc, good local pub with food, staff very pleasant excellent breakfast and value for money
Could be noisy some nights from neighbouring properties
Very much enjoyed our stay , we did only sleep there , it's a bit noisey early morning which wasn't a real problem , but they must change their televisions my god there so old
Just the tv
Fantastic breakfast, friendly staff, comfy bed, great location... what more could you want?!
Room was nice and warm, clean and the bed was comfortable
Staff working there were very rude. I asked at reception could I use the telephone and he start at me as if I had ask something difficult, laughed and the told me no.
Acceptably clean and central
Rough area, no amenities/toiletries, poor breakfast considering the rate we paid.
Most staff were friendly and the room was clean and spacious.
We were in the basement in a double room which was directly under the main lobby. We heard every footstep of anyone coming and going. We both really struggled to sleep
