Score from 220 reviews Wonderful
Lovely grounds and location, hotel nice, staff very nice and food gorgeous. Bistro bar was a bit disappointing, it's more a breakfast room than somewhere to chill in a bar, though library room was nice. Overall 7.5/10
the views helpful staff comfort facilities
very quiet at evenings need more varieties on restuarant menus
Location of breakfast room was fantastic
Bed was awful, threadbare towels, decor shabby, intermittant shower pressure, breakfast poor quality and not as expected for a 4star hotel. A disappointing stay, we will not be back.
Facility is dated and a bit tired.
Location was good and the food was nice.
Wifi was almost non-existant in the room. Waiter in the bar wanted my room number so I wouldn't 'run off'. He then proceded to tell us that he hated his job and was leaving. Bar had no music, tv or any type of athmosphere. Other guests were banging on doors at 4am which affected sleep.
Easy to find and close to the city of dublin
Meals particularly the breakfast was not excellent. There were no choice of yogurts. There was only one type - the plain yogurt. We were not placed in a nice part of the hotel - it appeared to have no sunlight in it but your staff very kindly changed us to one of your front rooms for the 2nd and 3rd nights of our stay here.
aesthetics, forest walking path, gardens, hot tub, pool, bar, food
Locationnear Dublin but still country
Finding hotel difficult new town mount Kennedy given as address but it is a few miles away. WiFi not great. Elections in forest walk would be helpful.
Beautiful Sunday lunch with friends in the Woodview restaurant.
Never ending noise of the traffic going through Glen o' the Downs. Not the hotel's fault and of course we needed the road to get us there!
I think it was very poor value for money. nOt sure is a 4 star
Location and view
We were attending a wedding at the place, the check time suppose to be at 15:00 our room was ready nearly 16:00 in the afternoon, We had to get changed in our friends room, staff from the reception was giving lots of excuses. Very disappointing the way the case was handled.
Beginning with the exceptional front-desk service from Stacey to other staff members.....everyone was great. The location could not have been better. Short drives to all the destinations we had planned. The facility was clean and comfortable. The views of the countryside were beautiful from the restaurant and bar areas and from the beautiful, very comfortable library.
My stay wasn't long enough!!!!!!!
We everything the staff were very good and helpful our room was very spacious the food was delicious
The hotel was ideally situated south of Dublin and surrounded by spectacular scenery. The room was clean and well presented. The food was excellent and staff helpful.
To use the swimming pool in the leisure centre everybody has to wear a swimming cap (but this is normal in Ireland).
Location, views, staff, facilities. Food was good as well. Nice setting would definitely stay again.
just bein picky but the decor in the romms was badly outdated.
Loved the location and the views from bedroom. Restaurant fab. Outside could do with a paint clean up. Breakfast was delivered to room. Check out time Was perfect
Wifi was poor. Breakfast cup was stained with tea/coffee
Food good quality
Disappointed at the fact there was no entertainment I'm the evenings.
size of bedroom
rashers and sausages tough too long in heat !
Tatty lampshades/broken in bedroom.. Bulbs needing replacement Room kettle of poor quality, switched on/off sometimes!!!!
The staff were very efficient and friendly. The views around the hotel were lovely.
The room was very small, and looking out at the back of hotel at an over grown hedge I did'nt like the meals served on a board.
Dining room views, lovely atmosphere in dining room in the evening.
Boozy wedding crowd.staff at breakfast all at sea.
The setting and gardens Comfortable bed
Customer service was appalling and staff attitudes ranged from ambivalent to down-right rude. Had sandwiches in our room on the first night and they were delivered by a cocky young man and were almost inedible. We had breakfast in our room and the waiter had to come back three times as he could not get the order on the menu right. We also had the carvery lunch on saturday and the service in the lounge was absolutely dreadful. We had to ask to have the table cleared after each course and the waitress was surly to say the least. We had a drink in the bar one evening and a member of staff was having his evening meal beside us. He crashed his plate down on the table and proceeded to throw my mothers walking stick out of his way in an agressive manner. He did not even apologise when he realised that we were staying at the hotel. All in all I was hugely dissappointed with this hotel and would not regard the service as 4 star. I have had much better service in 3 star establishments. The male staff in particular displayed a contemptuous and sneering demeanour apart from one pleasant Asian chap serving in the conservatory lounge.
The surroundings of the hotel ar nice. Nice walks & seating areas.
Wouldn't class this hotel as a four star. Rooms we'r small & some staff a bit lax
Beautiful surroundings. Great location. So close to everything. Loved the pool.
