Comfortable bed, amazing, really good nights sleep. Plus lovely pool. Good restaurant manager who organised us a small party for 12 at very short notice, food was excellent.
Leisure facilities breakfast and location
Bedroom TV was poor quality
Lovely hotel, friendly staff great location xx
Informality and friendliness of staff
Have no complaints...the pool was great, staff friendly and accommodating. Location gorgeous, a place for history in a historical and convenient setting. Accessible, with security for your car and valuables. We will return.
Hotel a bit tired and dated in parts, but overall staff very friendly and helpful. Just needs a refresh. We enjoyed the pool very much.
The conservatory restaurant on our second night was very busy, so had quite a long wait for food. Although staff were very helpful and pleasant and the food was very good.
Spa facilities were amazing. Food was beyond delicious room was cozy slightly small for the price though.
Since we're a young couple we were nearly dumped in the coldest room with a line of evergreen trees outside blocking any heat or scenery but we got that changed. receptionist was very ignorant.
Room ....staff lovely
Boiler going off near room am
The staff were pleasant.
I set the room temperature as high as it would go as it was a cold night. Unfortunately it didn't warm the room up. When I left the room you could feel how much warmer the corridor was. So I had to cancel my original stay of 3 nights to 1 night & had the "pleasure" of having to pay for 2 nights as "That is this hotel's cancellation policy".
My family and I stayed at the Glenview Hotel over the weekend. I must say that it is actually my favourite hotel and highly recommend it to all my friends. As I have relatives you live near by we have had occasion stay there quite often. I was disappointed with the level of service we received at the weekend. We had a family room which the double bed was actually two singles put together and one of the children's was a fold up bed. I didn't think this was acceptable. The wifi connection was absolutely awful if you moved your ipad in the slightest the connection was lost. Finally to the breakfast, I asked three times for warm milk for my child's breakfast and on the third request I was asked what do you want it for?. Also I had to make three attempts to get a hot breakfast as each time there was nothing left. So to conclude a very unsatisfactory stay at the hotel. I will hesitate in the future before staying again. The Parkview Hotel in Newtownmountkennedy is more appealing to me now. I did'n't complain at reception as none of it was her fault as she did her job to perfection. Thanking you for taking the time to read my complaint
Food in bar very good rooms good and location great
Breakfast service not so good waited to long for attention to be seated day one and ordered food that never arrived before I had to leave waited 20min for toast !
comfort and warmth plus location
tired, worn rooms and facilitites, business centre not really acceptable with no printer
The peace and space to relax
scenery and grounds
Room a bit cool
The location was great and the quietness even better.
Stated in information book and on the table at the lift that breakfast was to 10.30.We arrived down at 10.15 and was told breakfast was over.
The service was exceptional in all areas including, reception, bar, resturant. The sitting areas were well located and the service for coffees or drinks was efficient and friendly. The impression given was nothing was to much trouble and it always seemed genuine. Faultless sums up our experience..
Hotel a bit dated. Don't think it should have a 4 star rating. Bistro/bar could be a lot better. They should have a separate bar. The heat in the bar and function rooms etc was ridiculous. I stayed for 2 nights and hotel said they had no air conditioning. Heat was unbelievable in main areas. Would have to get a very good deal to go back.
Pleasant Surroundings and ok Breakfast
Walls made of paper so was kept awake from people next door. They were not making too much noise but just having a normal conversation that could be heard from our room. Never stayed in a Hotel where walls must have been made of paper !!
Breakfast was very good
Reception and lounges were very comfortable. Rooms and corridors were clean and fresh smelling.
Ate in bar/bistro as restaurant was closed. The food was mediocre and not of a 4 star standard. The service was frenetic and the staff kept running so it was difficult to relax over your meal. Slow down!
Bathroom really needs a face lift, toilet seat broke, Bedroom needs painting, furniture badly needs replacing, open press and door fell off hinges
everything, I have given a review of the Glenview hotel. and again I will say it was the best hotel experience I have encountered in a long time. the staff do and go beyond there call of duty, in all areas of the hotel. staff are so friendly, helpful and accommodating. restaurant fantastic, what I did like was the fact you could sit at your table for breakfast and not have to listen or watch chef serve, the only thing you did get for yourself was cereals, bread, fruit and water/juices. room was comfortable and spacious. the fact that it had a fantastic leisure centre and pool was a great bonus, the pool is fantastic for all the family, and there is a specific time children can use the pool, which is great if you just want a quite swim, faculties of pool are fantastic, would definitely recommend a visit. there is also a great mature garden to walk around this is a must, even if only staying for 1 night, the wooded walk is also a highly recommendation
the only thing I will say I didn't like was the fact the bar menu was the same every evening. but that's it.
Loose grab rail over bath
Leisure centre very well equiped. Quietness near my room.
Had stiff door. The hotel did fix it when asked. Otherwise very good
