Suited business demands; well-placed for visits to nearby places, eg Donegal Town, Sligo and Drumcliffe. Staff genuinely friendly esp Martin (ICT).
The hotel was very, very cold the first evening, night and following morning: during breakfast I wore a fleece-lined jacket but remained cold. On expressing our disappointment the Duty Manager met us, acknowledged the fault in the system which was speedily repaired. No offer of compensation for a 'lost' night was made.
Just loved the hotel.. So much character
my parents said it was lovely very welcoming and staff very friendly... They did say it would've been cheaper to go through the hotel itself... But as they enjoyed themselves that's all that matters
Liked the efficiency and friendliness
the staff were helpful with baby needs eg sterilising bottles Bedroom was recently upgraded so was nice
the pool was cold and dirty, the jacuzzi was dirty your skin smelt horrible, we had no towels and I had a 10 week old baby! The carpets smelt fusty going up to the pool, you loose a euro by using the lockers! Breakfast was not a buffet, when it was served it was cold. There was lipstick on my coffee cup. There was no internet not even at the reception we were booked in for 2 nights needless to say we left after one!
The meal we got in the bar and our breakfast was really good.
It was a double divan bed my friend was sleeping in, the base was all stained and dirty, would need replaced. The steamroom was broke and the sauna wasn't very warm. We had a wait to get towels.
Staff great. Kids club good. Beeakfat good. Bar food good. Pool good
the hotel was lovely and warm, rooms were comfortable and clean
noisy room next to the childrens club (especially after requesting a quiet room) children were running up and down the hall until 9.30pm. the beds were well worn and some people may find them too soft. full irish breakfast was a bit on the small side
Great atmosphere & warm & friendly . Food very good both dinner & breakfast.
The radiator was not workin also the plugs was not workin till the morning we were going

Broken glass in car park
I enjoyed everything about my short stay. Very comfortable.
The weather. It was horrendous.m
I love the atmosphere and the hotel is so family friendly
When I was booking this break the pictures on the website must be the new part if the hotel. We ended up what felt like the old part. Which was a bit disappointing. Most of staff where very friendly. One bar man I felt was a bit abrupt. Breakfast and dinner times I felt were abit strict on times. Breakfast finished serving at ten could be left till eleven. We where on a weekend break it would be nice to have a lie in. Dinner wasn't serving till 6.30. Which was included in our deal. But we where hungry and could wait that long as my partner is a diabetic we ended up paying for our dinner in the bar. Other than that it was a lovely break and I would come back again.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was delicious.
It was a pity that breakfast finished at 10a.m. especially on a weekend. Another hour or even half hour would have made appreciated.
The Staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was unbelievable with fantastic views ans walks.

Heating broke down and wasn't working in the leisure centre. Never been cold in a jacuzzi before and thought it best to give the pool a miss when the sauna proved draughty. I understand it's a vintage hotel and things break, but the lack of communication was appalling for a four star hotel. When I complained that the leisure centre was dangerously cold, the manager said she didn't know (although the plumbers were in fixing the rest of the heating) and thought it could be resolved by the offer of a free drink. Not the level of service the hotel trades its name on
