the location was brilliant for shops and for getting the aircoach.
there wasnt any tea or coffee facilities in the room. there was a lot of pipe noise in the room at night.
Room very small
The Character of the Hotel and Location. The staff, helpful and friendly while not intrusive.
The prices of food and drink were a bit on the high side.
I liked everything and everybody`
There was nothing to dislike.
The cosy feeling upon entering the hotel and the friendly staff through out the hotel
The bedroom door rattled/banged all night.
The place is comfortable, friendly, professional and lovely staff. The food very delicious. We enjoyed every minute of our stay.
Love every bit
The helpful and warmth of the staff. The position was great. Convenient to all transport and city attractions. The food was disappointing. Living in Melbourne I am use to much better quality.
I was not disappointed with anything.
Lighting in room Small towels
The location was great. Staff were friendly and efficient.
The room we stayed in looked out onto a grey wall and was dark it also could do with updating. The cold tap in the bathroom sink didn't work at all.
Location and comfort
Food in restaurant over cooked
Good size room. Nice breakfast. We liked having a bath in the room and separate shower.
TV access was strange. The bathroom had a soiled area on the wall it was not what was expected for a higher cost hotel.
The service was excellent we had a great bar meal staff very attentive
The cooked breakfast was very poor it was dry, eggs had been around for a long time
There was an issue with the heating in our room. But the duty manager was very prompt in sorting out a satisfactory solution the following morning.
One member of staff was unreal her detail to care for us was amazing her name is Paula works in today's bar can't do enough for you and staff in general very pleasant
A few times some staff in bar walking around leaving glasses on counter and not looking who needed service
Clean sheets and comfortable beds.It was a pity that we got no sleep. Hot water. A note about the fire alarm was pushed under our door at aprx 6am.
Bedroom above function room so thumping music and vibration from 10pm until 2am. WiFi didn't work.Repeated calls to reception were unanswered. Fire alarm sounded 5times during the night. Noise and banging doors throughout the night on corridoor. This booking cost 149E. No recompense for this disasterous night and no contact from hotel in response to our written complaint.
Overall everything was very good staff very accommodating and comfortable. Atmosphere very good.
On arrival I spoke to a lady who did not have the best of english and had to repeat something three times. Additionally the alarm went off a few times in the middle of the night which was distressing for us as we were only staying for one night. I couldn't get back to sleep. We thought there was a fire and heard a commotion at the back of the hotel. This we found very distressing indeed. The letter explained the scenario and also spoke to Frank (Manager) who was also very informed and alleviated the situation in his analysis of the situation. Thanks very much to him.
The hotel lobby is the perfect place to relax over a drink while taking in the wonderful atmosphere of the city. All the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We ate the first night in Toddys Bar. While I acknowledge it was extremely busy, our food was nearly cold by the time we got it and trying to get the attention of the busy staff was impossible. We were disappointed that we didn't wait half an hour to order food as our neighbour's food 40 mins later was the same as we ordered but piping hot and looked extremely more appetitising. This was the only criticism we had with our whole stay.
We go to The Gresham every Christmas for weekend,we travel from Cork.We couldn't speak highly enough about the hotel. It ticks every box, keep up the good work.
Saw a woman, old enough to have sense with her feet up on a couch,I know that ye can't watch everything, but I thought that this showed a complete lack of respect.
Staff are excellent, very friendly and efficient Rooms are very comfortable
Bad pints No bath robes despite upgrading room
receptionists very helpful, they even lent me an umbrella one day as I was too lazy to go back up to my room. rooms extremely comfortable ,heat good and bedclothes so clean. loyely b/fast-and friendly efficient staff. last time we stayed porter at desk dealing with our luggage extremely helpful and polite. convenient to all amenities and when you return you can sit in a nice relaxing soft seat and have a snack and read paper while the buzz in the hotel continues. super place to stay.! A lot of my friends go to the Gresham now cause I'm always chatting about it
My husband would like more TV stations! but doesnt bother me really maybe could be doing with more soft seats in the foyer but suppose theres not alot more spaceto accomadate more.
