Location was excellent
Rooms quite cold
The breakfast was unreal ,
Brilliant friendly staff, great food, spotlessly clean.Real nice place
The historical connection of the hotel
Lovely friendly staff, good location, easy to kind
Very cold rooms and kids got sick from it. Wouldn't stay there again with kids in October.
Nice room and bathroom, good breakfast and good value for money.
No table for making tea and no coffee. The bar in hotel closes at 5pm it would have been nice to have a drink at night there. If you arrive after 5.00 it might be difficult to get your room. It is advertising continental breakfast i did not see any but we were cooked a nice full breakfast.
Good bed, quiet room and tasty breakfast. Maureen was very helpful ensuring we were comfortable, room was properly heated and stocked with all necessities.
staff person not on site 100% of the time
traditional irish hotel
Staff were all friendly and tried their best.. Room nice and very clean. Bed was perfectly comfortable.
The tap water tasted mouldy even for brushing teeth or boiling in the kettle so it would have been nice to be warned. There was no coffee , but only tea in the room. Breakfast was quite greasy and had a strange taste. I wondered if it was the oil but don't know. We hadn't been aware that it no longer functioned as a pub and was totally shut up at 5 pm. Shower was cold in the morning.
Staff very polite and helpful
No evening meal or early breakfast available - however cereal & brown bread were left in the room for us.
friendly staff.old world charm..
excellent staff friendly & helpful thanks
Nice hotel with very friendly and obliging staff.
Great stay and Maureen made us more than welcome. Thank-you.
This is an older hotel. It does have a lot of character but has some condition issues. Plaster was cracking and falling away from ceiling above the front door. Bathrooms were clean and hostess was accommodating.
We had to go to a local business across the street to call the owner to let us in. No one there to greet us.
The manager Maureen was fantastic! nothing was too much trouble! The free breakfast was fabulous! I loved that we could have our breakfast right up until 12 which we took advantage of after late nights with family! The Michael Collins bar was rally interesting and so traditional.
The hotel was cosy and the staff were very friendly and the locals were great craic really friendly place
Granard is a very small town so there's not much to do if u haven't got transport there's only one or two pubs open in the evenings
Size of the room, and decent shower
No hair dryer, coffee making, or staff on at night! We were given the front door key and told that someone would be in in the morning! Don't know what would have happened if there had been an emergency!
Location on the main street of the village, a large portion of omlette on the breakfast.
No tea facilities in the room. We asked for tea and got it only in 40 minutes after the second reminder. Though it is positioned a non-smoking hotel, there was a strong sigarette smell. At 2-3 a.m. we were waken up by the people speaking loudly, slaming doors, marching down the corridor and smoking.
When we discovered we couldn't get a cooked breakfast before 9.30 (yikes) One of the staff offered to make up a tray with cereal and bread. We ate the cereal for brekky and took the bread for lunch.
No food or drinks after 6 pm. No breakfast before 9.30. Traffic noise in between.
Character. Michael Collins connection.
No fire escape visible. No staff on duty overnight. No evening meals. No lift. No armchairs in bedroom. No more than fair value for money, as it was effectively only a B & B.
Staff could'nt do enough for us, very friendly and helpful.Nothing was any bother.
Amy, the primary staff, was incredibly nice and helpful. In fact, everyone we met in the town of Granard was very kind and helpful. The room was quaint and the food (Irish breakfast) was delicious.
This is an old hotel. It has charm and beauty, but it is old and has some signs of wear.
The warm and frienldy reception from maureen nothing was any trouble, top class breakfast
