Heritage Spa Resort  

In general, the hotel is very impressive and the rooms were very comfortable and clean.

Food in the bar was not very good and was very pricey for what we got. We (6 adults and 3 children) had to wait for almost 45 minutes before our meal arrived and then our meals were served at different times and a starter was served before a main course. Two of the three children were left waiting for almost 30 minutes while everyonr else ate!

Gym and leisure centre was excellent except that it was over-run with kids - annoying when you are trying to get away from them! Food was excellent at dinner so cant fault that. Staff very friendly but they need more of them. Pleasant stay but only book of you get a very good deal as there is nothing to do locally apart from stay in hotel.

I understand the hotel is suffering financial problems at present (as is everywhere!) however the 5 star status should be reduced to a 4 star. It is a lovely hotel but missing all the 5 star additions. No one to meet us at the hotel or offer to park the car, poor service in the bar and had to send my sandwich (yes!!) back as it was a big soggy mess, rooms were pleasant but all wood was covered in layers of dust and there is absolutley no clothes storage apart from one small wardrobe and a few very shallow drawers - they need a few shelves, breakfast was fine but not of a 5 star quality - needs more variety. I think the use of the spa should be included in the room rate packages as an additional €40 each to use it was over the top.

I loved how staff walked us to our room.They also brought our luggage to and from our room. They also brought our car from the car park to the door as we were leaving. The breakfast tables could have been a little more neatly laidout. But everything was available and no extra charge for anything on the menu. Bedroom was great. Loved the slippers and dressing gown, as towels as usual very skimpy. the TV was very informative and layout well for a variety of TV, radio, internet use. . Loved the offer of movies. They are 6euro but ar very current and up to date.

Bar drinks where far too expensive. Staff also where not always in attendance. Dinner was excellent. However choice was poor. There was also little atmosphere which made the delious meal feel a bit sad. We could have been in any other restuant. disapointed as was expecting somthing different from a 5star hotal. Internet is slow for facebook and the like. But they do warn you as you logon. HOwever it is free. Found the shop at the spa a little dissapointing and I hate the fact that products are not labaled so useless realy as there is not always someone on the desk. Bring your swimming togs as you do need it for treatments. Dont expect them to have your size there. especailly if you are on the larger side ladies. Men forget about it because they dont sell them for you. Book early for your appointments as you will not get them if you wait till you arrive. even for smaller treatments. It will also mean that you can realy plan how you are going to spend your visit. Which is realy somthing you have got to do as if you are not staying for golf and you tretments are over there is little other entertainment on site.

Self contained and secure for the the children. Great sports facilities. Good sizeable and comfortable rooms.

Some areas of the Hotel give the sense that it is on life support as are many in Ireland.

I thought the quality and price of the food wasn't great, also the service in the bar was quite poor for food.

The roll-top bath!!! Also the rooms were finished very comfortably and the staff were very friendly.

The Heritage is a very luxurious hotel and caters for your every need. If you are looking for real 5 star treatment then this is the place to go. The food in Sol Orien's restaurant was out of this world and if it's good enough for Paolo Tulio.... This is an old world hotel with all the luxury and glamour you would expect in five star accommodation. The perfect place to treat yourself. You won't want to leave!!1

Top quality facilities, comfortable and excellent staff and service

Bedrooms very nice and very comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms (with rolltop bath), reception area area is nice. Main dining room is nice, good food and bar area is relaxing. Also a nice short drive from Dublin for a relaxing getaway.

Overall stay was only ok. Main issues were: 1. The spa is not included for guests there is a €40 p.p charge - not worth it when its included elsewhere for similar or better standard. If you don't pay this you are left with a depressing looking pool and jacuzzi of 3 star standard. 2. The walk from the hotel to the spa looks like a half built/unfinished tunnel - a 3 star wouldn't have this. 3. There is an overflow room for the main dining room and it feels far inferior, we atre breakfast there once and insisted on the main room for other meals. 4. There was no shower hat supplied in the bathroom (small issue but I expect it)

The location was excellent for our reason for staying, although not as close as we were led to believe when we were booking. Also staff were very friendly. Small touches like turning down the bed clothes at night with the little chocolate were unexpected luxuries. We just really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food was great and facilities very good. A very enjoyable experience.

We were not asked if we needed help with our luggage. For other five star resorts we have stayed in this is an automatic question when you are checking in. Even hotels less than 5 star offer help with luggage.

The professional staff are so welcoming and the overall hotel ambience is go nice to see on arrival.Our room 101 was beautiful and very comfortable. We ate in the club house and it was very good food.I Would defo return but for more than 1 night the next time. Would highly recommend

Good size room and comfortable. Great food.

We had a room overlooking the aircon plant on the roof. The noise from the machinery keeps you awake if the windows are open at night. ( € 190.00 per night is too much ) Next time we will book a different room and inspect first.

The hotel is excellent, the staff attentive and the whole experience was extremely enjoyable. We would definitely go back.
