Stayed on Friday night with a group of friends. The location is perfect and close to everywhere in the city. The staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful. Made us feel very at home. Very cosy and comfortable place to stay. We all would reccomend this place to anyone and everyone from all walks of life.
The shower was pretty terrible, might have gotten cleaner soaping up an standing outside in the rain. Mastresses were rather on the thin side.
Gordana is a goddess! Super welcoming and helpful manager. The location was in good walkin distance of sights an the bus station (both airport and Bus Eireann). Clean rooms.
No shower no wifi was their 4 nights had to ask for clean towels very dirty never stay their again plaster falling from seelings
The room I was given (for one person) was depressingly small (could touch either side of the room with outstretched arms). The bed seemed smaller than a twin and the mattress was very uncomfortable. Showers were dirty, weak, and couldn't seem to get hot. For the price I paid I wish I had stayed somewhere else.
The Holyhead is a 5 min walk from O'Connell Street and 15 minutes from the River Liffey/Temple Bar area. Very convenient location near plenty of shops, bars, etc. Better access to the north side of Dublin. The staff was very helpful and friendly as well.
Near to the city centre: 10 minutes to the temple bar, 5 minutes to O'Connell street.
The showers were the worst I have ever encountered including hostels in istanbul - there seemed to be just two available for the entire building requiring ground floor guests to run up 2 flights of stairs to shower and then discover the shower has cold water or a tiny drip if put on maximum heat . The floor was covered in water and it looked dirty and was very off putting . The mattresses were uncomfortable with sharp springs eveywhere and there was just one overhead light with no lighting suitable for reading .
The man at reception was pleasant but the building itself is scruffy and the showers need replacing and there aren't enough of them.
filthy, terrible toilet (only one for more than 20 people),
Close to everything, really helpful service, free wifi
The location was good according to the price we paid. Ten minutes walk from Temple bar. Pubs and shopping just around the corner. Very close to the train station. Didn't see much of the staff, didn't really matter. Comfortable bed, good restrooms and there was no disturbance from other guests of any kind. Dublin was lovely, I want to go back!
Wifi is not very good on the top floor. Had a hard time loading a video
The owner is super nice! Very much enjoyed my stay. Have 24 H hot shower. Good location!
Bed was uncomfortable - full of springs, and shower was cold, but can't expect a palace at the price we paid...!
It was really cheap! Staff was friendly, room was clean. Pretty bare, but fine for a couple of nights. Cheap and cheerful.
There was no cabinet for my clothes in the room.
Great location, you can reach this hostel from airport directy by bus. And you can go to city centre by feet. In near supermarket can buy something for breakfast.
Only problem was the wifi which was a little faulty. This is a very minor complaint. though!
Staff were nice, room was nice. Good!
The guy at the reception was extremely nice. He gave us all the information we needed to see the best of dublin in one day!! The hostel had an excellent location close to everything and the bus to the airport just across the street.
Friendly reception and nice environment.
The condition of the shower. Very small rooms.
the location near the city center. Quick bus connection to the airport.
No TV, no breakfast.
Good location, staff was very helpful and friendly.
Location is excellent. A very clean hostel. Friendly staff. Great value for money
There was actually nothing to besides the cheap rates. Definitely not returning .
A total shamble.
Great check in staff. Superb location.
Had difficulty sleeping due to thin walls and very strange noises coming day and night from neighbouring room. Shared shower was dirty and moldy. Bed was uncomfortable (spring mattress) although staff was great.
Good location. Friendly staff. Very basic room fairly clean.
Rude staff Dirty bathroom Almost no running shower Stupid price system
Strange smell and no pressure in the shower on the 2nd floor.
Room was very cold
Near the O'Connel Street
Smelly shower (!), no tea or coffee in hostel, no kitchen for guests.
Clean room, comfort bed, Celt pub and Oshea's restaurant near by, Conolly Dart Station just few steps away, shopping center just around the corner, no problem with quick check-in and check-out. Great base to exploration the City. ;)
Staff were not happy helpful and made you feel like you were a hindrance. Rooms were tiny and no breakfast was provided. For the price there are allot of better options in the area.
The bed was good
