A beautiful little hotel. Our room had just been remodeled and was very, very nice. Even a row of different outlets (euro, north american, etc.) in the wall just above the desk. The location is perfect. A great value., If you don't know exactly where it is (we didn't), It could be a challenge to find. Well worth it, though. Just plan ahead.

Lack of basic information in the room, eg check out time, breakfast times (we were told this at check in, but had to borrow a pen & write them down), location of thermostat (hidden by standard lamp), what to see & a map of Galway & surrounds (restaurants, bars etc) would have been useful. On our booking we were told we would receive 'a bathrobe & slippers for 2 persons' we did not get any.

I liked the decor was very cozy and relaxing. The food was very nice in the restaurant, and breakfast the next morning was excellent. Enjoyed a few drinks after dinner in the very relaxing bar. Next time will stay for longer. Even though its located on a busy street you could not tell this from inside the hotel. Staff very friendly and made u welcome as soon as you arrived, especially the receptionist Shame they dont have their own parking, especially as its a one way system and was raining very heavy on day of departure

Clean and comfortable room in a good location close to all the city amenities The room was rather dark as it is an old stone building with rather small windows

Receptionist was chewing gum when I was checking in and she was on the phone chatting quite a while before she dealt with me. Parking is quite a distance away - but there was a 'set down' outside the door. Foyer was freezing when we sat for a drink but the barman noticed and offered to put on heating in February! Overall a hotel catering I think to a young crowd and hen nights - rooms were clean and staff overall were friendly.

Terrific hotel. Incredibly funky and quirky and modern. We were upgraded to a Suite on arrival due to over booking which was a fabulous treat! Brilliant value for money and staff were extremely helpful! Will definitely return!

The overall feel of the hotel was very hip but still friendly. It had a great location for exploring Galway and the environs. The bed in our deluxe room was very comfortable. Our room's bathroom was extremely cold (we were there in Febuary) which made the lovely tile floor almost unbearable to walk on. Also, there was no shower curtain, just a glass partition, and because the partition was not affixed to the top of the tub, when one would shower, water would just cascade onto the floor making quite a puddle.

The interior design was lovely and unique. Location a bonus. Umbrellas at the front door a nice touch. Lack of parking and the "customer rate" for hynes is a big massive 1 euro off. No spare blankets/quilts in room. Check out time (11:30am) very early compared to the check in time (3:00pm) which is very late.

The location was excellent, slap bang in the city center, close to everything, Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice. We booked a delux room but it was more of a standard room. Upon checking in the receptionest stated that we were been given a room upgrade which would have ment staying in a super delux room. Defo wasnt an upgrade from the delux room, more like a down grade to a standerd room.

Lovely hotel in the heart of galway, less than a five minute walk to great bars abd restaurants, we will definately stay here again. The only slight negative was breakfast, I've had much better elsewhere. It would be nice if the price of parking was included.

The House Hotel was an excellent choice for a night in Galway. It is within easy walking distance of the shops and pubs and restaurants so no need for taxis. The restaurant was excellent and there was a great choice on the breakfast menu. The staff were very well presented, friendly and efficient. I would have no hesitation in booking again if I were to visit Galway again in the future.

Fabulous funky decor, welcoming staff, gorgeous room with great shower and bath, excellent cocktail bar, general warm atmosphere, good value , near to everything in centre of Galway city, an absolute gem. Shussh! don't be telling everyone it might become too popular and too difficult to get a booking PS Interesting, nice and helpful night porter/barman Absolutely nothing.

I knew that it's location was excellent but I was impressed by the value and especially delighted by the service. It's sooooo lovely to have your breakfast served to you and to get eggs that have been cooked to order. Terrific. The room was smallish. If we had been staying for more than one night we would have liked something a little more spacious. Clean and comfortable though.
