The House Hotel  

I liked the decor was very cozy and relaxing. The food was very nice in the restaurant, and breakfast the next morning was excellent. Enjoyed a few drinks after dinner in the very relaxing bar. Next time will stay for longer. Even though its located on a busy street you could not tell this from inside the hotel. Staff very friendly and made u welcome as soon as you arrived, especially the receptionist

Shame they dont have their own parking, especially as its a one way system and was raining very heavy on day of departure

The lobby/seating areas were very comfortable and relaxing. Staff excellent.

Rooms a little small

I liked the value for money and the location. The hotel itself was beautiful.

A beautiful little hotel. Our room had just been remodeled and was very, very nice. Even a row of different outlets (euro, north american, etc.) in the wall just above the desk. The location is perfect. A great value.,

If you don't know exactly where it is (we didn't), It could be a challenge to find. Well worth it, though. Just plan ahead.

The rooms are a little on the small side but well thought out and have everything required for a comfortable stay.

Fabulous funky decor, welcoming staff, gorgeous room with great shower and bath, excellent cocktail bar, general warm atmosphere, good value , near to everything in centre of Galway city, an absolute gem. Shussh! don't be telling everyone it might become too popular and too difficult to get a booking PS Interesting, nice and helpful night porter/barman

Staff Decor Price Food

Some of the bathroom fittings are getting tired and worn. Plus the tile/bath seal / grouting is in need of replacing

The staff were very friendly and efficent and hotel was as described on their website.

The hotel is beautiful and we have been in there many times, Our only complaint is being told that all the tables are reserved for Christmas functions which when I asked the people next to us and they were not staying in the hotel. Thisis not right if we paid for a room we expect to have some were to sit this is our only complaint as the lady was very abrupt and basically we were told tough.... THIS WAS SUCH A SHAME

Decor.. Modern appearance..

Housekeeping didn't come two days in a row.. Internet also went out and I had to change hotels.. Very frustrating.. Otherwise a lovely place..

Great location close to Spanish Arch, but off the main street. Within 10 minutes walk of the railway station. Rooms are clean and modern, beds are comfortable. Staff are polite. Prices are reasonable compared to other older hotels located in less central parts of Galway.

Have stayed at the House Hotel four times. Generally cannot fault the location, price, or the comfort of the rooms. Unfortunately on two occasions the hotel was hosting private functions in the bar below the bedrooms, since there appears to be no dedicated function area elsewhere in the hotel. The rooms are poorly insulated, so the sound from the bar is clearly audible even two floors up. If the hotel concentrated on accommodation alone, I would highly recommend it. Unfortunately it is currently a lottery as to whether you will get a good night's sleep, or be kept awake until 3am.

I Loved the decor and feel of the place. The location is perfect for shopping and night life. I only ate breakfast, which was included, it was very yummy.

very hard to fault The House hotel.One criticism I do have is that I heard great things about their cocktail bar however when we returned from our night out at 1pm I was told cocktails were not made at this time, which may be fair enough, but as a resident I was disappointed. Also, almost 7 euro for 3 small pancakes at breakfast seems quite expensive to me but luckily breakfast was included in our stay.
