The bed was very comfortable and they provided extra pillows when we asked for them. The shower was good - one of those rainshowers with a very wide head. There was a good sized flatscreen tv. The information pack in the bedroom was very comprehensive. The car park was very far away from the hotel so we got soaked coming and going to the car as it was raining. Also, we did not get the discount we were supposed to get when we showed our ticket stamped by the hotel. The hotel is supposed to have an agreement with the car park but it didn't seem to count for anything when we tried to get the discount we were supposedly entitled to. The restaurant closed at 8pm so we had to order room service for dinner. We were told they no longer did the chicken ceasar salad we tried to order, although it was on the room service menu. The windows in the room didn't open, for security reasons we were told, but the room was stuffy and we wanted some fresh air - not the air conditioning. The service at breakfast was very slow. In the end I had to cancel my order of poached eggs as I would have been late to work if I had waited any longer. The waitress was talking on the phone for about 12 minutes and when she got off the phone we heard her reminding the chef about the eggs and judging by the way he answered her he had forgotten them. All in all, lots of annoying little things to spoil our stay. I did write all this on my feedback form, and to his credit, the manager got back to me very quickly offering me a €40 discount on my next stay. I may give them a second chance. |

The hotel is very close to the centre of the city. There are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. The decor is very modern but not particularly functional. The taps in the bathroom look lovely but work poorly. There is no free parking; you have to park in a car park and walk over to the hotel. Because of its proximity to the city centre, you can expect the (small) bar to be popular with stag and hen parties. The staff seemed to be students rather than trained professionals, and none of them had English as a first language; our breakfast was delayed as a result. The decor could do with an overhaul: Carpets and walls don't match. The dresser was stained with multiple bottle/glass rings. You are paying for the location of the hotel and that alone. |

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and very centrally located in Galway city. Can't comment on the food in the restaurant (see below), but breakfast was fine, although the continental selection is a little small. My only gripe was that I wasn't told on check-in that there was a private function going on that evening in the restaurant. I don't have a problem with there being a party, and I couldn't hear it from my room, but it would have been nice to be told in advance, rather than coming down from my room and effectively walking straight into the middle of it! Having said that, there are a huge number of restaurants and pubs to eat in around the hotel, so it wasn't an issue to go out. |

I liked the room, the bathroom, the Intenet access and TV and the lounge area. The decor is great and the staff helpful.. It was clean but not spotless. Room slightly noisy but what else can one expect in downtown Galway overlooking a street? |

Location, temp of room was optimal, design of room was beautiful and unusual, delicious breakfast! The noise in the morning due to it being in the city! Parking is a distance from the hotel so if you forget something (like I did) you have a bit of a walk. |

Great location to shops, restaurants, pubs, etc. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was also complimentary dressing gowns and slippers, as well as a map of Galway which I thought was a very nice touch. The room could have been cleaner. There were cup marks all over the desk in the room, some hairs at the bottom of the wardrobe and the sink and shower could have been cleaned to a higher standard. Also the TV was placed on top of a very large mini - bar. |

The hotel is in a central very convenient location. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was excellent. While the breakfast was excellent, the dinner only average, perhaps because the hotel was very busy that day |

Central, nice design, good breakfast Staff were professional but all of them always seemed so tired and defeated all the time. I almost wanted to give them all a big hug and tell them it was going to be ok. |

Food was good The booking was for a suite and the view was dreadful- we looked onto a wall! We asked to be moved and although the hotel did not seem to be full, we were told that there was no other available room. |

The room was clean, fresh and comfortable, if compact.Food was very good, service good and they kindly provided an early continental breakfast at no extra cost as I had an early start the next day. There was no on-site car parking. Parking nearby at an extra cost. |

The boutique style of the hotel is the best quality and the comfort level of the room add to a relaxed stay. the bar/restaurant has a lovely atmosphere to it, making it a easy place to chill out... the location could not be better! Stay here any day. the food was good except 1 out of the 3 breakfasts i had, was how i ordered. not a massive complaint, also i had a steak dinner on the first night and asked med-rare but it was well more than rare... thats all.... |
