Score from 63 reviews Wonderful
We were given an upgrade with no extra cost.Parking was very convenient.
The bar was closed for renovations.I was very surprised that the receptionist did not know the streets in the town when we asked for directions. Menus were not easily available or on display in public areas or in the rooms. No information on local attractions was available either.
I have stayed here many times and always enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The staff a re superb. Good value for money and also great food.
Convenient location in town Excellent breakfast brown bread gorgeous Waitresses very friendly Bathroom good, nice shower
No coat hangers had to wait and ask twice before they arrived Bathroom door got stuck but was fixed. No hairdryer in room, lent one from reception.
Staff very pleasant. hotel lovely old style.
WiFi not strong enough so couldnt use. Would be nice if there was a small table and 2 chairs in room to sit at to read or have a cuppa. bad choice of tv channels and would be good idea to list the channels in book.
Large rooms, excellent breakfast with a selection of hot and cold. Able to provide gluten free bread and choices in the bar menu. Car park and central location. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The staff were friendly and helpful we stayed for a family funeral and the staff helped out stay be as relaxed as possible, beautiful hotel fabulous rooms
Great fire in the bar
Weak wifi signal
Location is good
Couldn't sleep until 2am with noise coming from a function down stairs Bed was uncomfortable Very basic room cost €120 which is very expensive. Television only had 2 TV channels that worked Television was not a flat screen as advertised The taps in the bathroom sink were loose General repair of room was poor
Friendly staff, loverly breakfast, nice location.
No wifi in bedrooms
Was part if wedding party and on check in we were told it was discounted. But when we went to check out the decline this. Disappointing after a nice weekend
The ambiance, furnishings and finishes, politeness of staff and bar and food quality. The room was also very good. The first room I was given smelt heavily of smoke (room 21) but this was quickly changed when I complained.
Terrible wifi. Repeatedly lost connection and some business transactions as a consequence. This needs rectifying.
The decor & the staff
The towels could've been bigger & the room was cold
Location, food was good.
They are excellent hosts and accommodate almost any request. The reception are very friendly and catered for all our needs. They let us stay up as late as we wanted at the bar and would've gone all night if we could of. The view from the rooms across the race course is amazing. The breakfast I chose was a full Irish which was just to die for. There are plenty of other options too for those who prefer a lighter option. The relaxation areas of the hotel are luxurious and plenty so its not a case of simply resting in your room if you need to come back to the hotel for a sit down. Located right in the centre of town and a good point to explore the wider area of the West Coast if you have a car. Highly recommended. Also, the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The Shower one of the best I have ever had.
Great location and helpful friendly staff
I liked the bedroom and bathroom facilities which were very clean. Full Irish breakfast was also a nice treat. Location at centre of all the places i wished to see and an apparently good bus service is provided though more frequent bus services would be desirable. An all round pleasant experience,
Great food and very comfortable beds. Friendly staff
The booking in the hotel was to short. No fault of the hotel as they were fully booked
The double room and the views were magnificent.
Breakfast was appalling and the cost of the stay was way out of line in comparison with our other experiences both in Dublin and the Southwest of Ireland.
Very welcoming staff. Nice room in the hotel which is an old building with lots of character. Central location in a pretty country town with great amenities. Calm and relaxed atmosphere.
Breakfast - the scrambled eggs were unbelievably bad. Fruit salad was poor. No sign of "homemade" Granola, as per menu.
The georgian building was lovely with many interesting photographs on display added to the character The location in the square in Listowel was excellent
Big hygiene problem, some cockroaches were crawling along skirting boards in dining room. Upholstery in lounge areas felt almost alive from lack of cleaning. Vases were full of dead flowers and dust everywhere. Interestingly, the bedroom was the cleanest place in hotel.
Convenience of position. A very nice room.
The food was excellent Great location Great resident's bar, very friendly staff
No Wi-Fi available in room, only available in reception area
The bartender was very knowledgeable about Irish whiskies. Our room had a lovely river view and was nice suite with plenty of room and the bed really comfortable!
Breakfast was crowded and we had to flag down waitress for coffee several times.
