I liked the stay. It was relaxing and fun
The Wi-Fi. Way too slow and wouldn't work on my tablet.
Nice Bar, with good beer. Bar food was also nice. Good Room with a very good bed and a very good shower
WiFi were only in the Lobby available. The Restaurant was closed.
loved the room,and bathroom.
no view from the room, butwhat the hell.bar was a bit lacking in atmosphere.
Lovely hotel, great location right slap bang in middle of town, breakfast v good, no WiFi in bedroom only issue
Very nice traditional hotel in keeping with good Irish tradition. Bar food excellent and staff very friendly
WIFI does not get into the room
Good in general
No wifi in the room despite advertising there is wifi. Should be clearer when describing the free wifi on website. Some parts of the public areas were ok. One of my key criteria for booking a room is wifi which is essential for my work.
The location in the heart of Listowel overlooking the racetrack and the river - so beautiful. We liked the chatter of the sparrows in the ivy over the entrance. The parking was super as well. The chef was obviously very talented.
The wifi connection seemed to be a little "weak", but we could connect.
The upgrade to the bridal suite. Staff very friendly & helpful.
Double room very dated. Heating not working, no heating in bathroom & toilet not very clean. Rollerblind on window frayed with hole in it. Not worth what they were charging.
STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL NEVER HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE RESTAURANT, HOWEVER THE BREAKFAST WAS PERFECT
I WOULD HAVE LIKED A SOFTER TOP PILLOW, HOWEVER I AM VERY FUSSY ABOUT MY PILLOWS :-)
The bed was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very nice. The breakfast was lovely and was served quickly and the waitress was very nice. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated and there was a welcoming fire lighting in the foyer on arrival.
It was a very cold night and the radiator was not working in the room. An extra blanket would have been useful for the cold. The door jam in the room had a slight gap on the bottom half and I had to hang my scarf on the handle to stop the strong cold breeze from coming into the room. I did not realise that the rad was not working earlier in the night as the top of the rad was warm, it obviously needed to be bled. When I told the receptionist in the morning about the cold and the fact that the rad was not working she said she knew there was problems with the boiler and thanked me for telling her. I would have expected a voucher or a reduction in my bill or some other acknowledgement of the discomfort. The TV in the room was old fashioned and the remote was not easy to use, There was no explanation available in the room of how to access different channels. It was nice to have a kettle in the room but there were only two teabags on the tray.
We were given an upgrade with no extra cost.Parking was very convenient.
The bar was closed for renovations.I was very surprised that the receptionist did not know the streets in the town when we asked for directions. Menus were not easily available or on display in public areas or in the rooms. No information on local attractions was available either.
I have stayed here many times and always enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The staff a re superb. Good value for money and also great food.
Convenient location in town Excellent breakfast brown bread gorgeous Waitresses very friendly Bathroom good, nice shower
No coat hangers had to wait and ask twice before they arrived Bathroom door got stuck but was fixed. No hairdryer in room, lent one from reception.
Staff very pleasant. hotel lovely old style.
WiFi not strong enough so couldnt use. Would be nice if there was a small table and 2 chairs in room to sit at to read or have a cuppa. bad choice of tv channels and would be good idea to list the channels in book.
Large rooms, excellent breakfast with a selection of hot and cold. Able to provide gluten free bread and choices in the bar menu. Car park and central location. Staff very helpful and friendly.
The staff were friendly and helpful we stayed for a family funeral and the staff helped out stay be as relaxed as possible, beautiful hotel fabulous rooms
Great fire in the bar
Weak wifi signal
Location is good
Couldn't sleep until 2am with noise coming from a function down stairs Bed was uncomfortable Very basic room cost €120 which is very expensive. Television only had 2 TV channels that worked Television was not a flat screen as advertised The taps in the bathroom sink were loose General repair of room was poor
Friendly staff, loverly breakfast, nice location.
No wifi in bedrooms
Was part if wedding party and on check in we were told it was discounted. But when we went to check out the decline this. Disappointing after a nice weekend
The ambiance, furnishings and finishes, politeness of staff and bar and food quality. The room was also very good. The first room I was given smelt heavily of smoke (room 21) but this was quickly changed when I complained.
Terrible wifi. Repeatedly lost connection and some business transactions as a consequence. This needs rectifying.
The decor & the staff
The towels could've been bigger & the room was cold
Location, food was good.
They are excellent hosts and accommodate almost any request. The reception are very friendly and catered for all our needs. They let us stay up as late as we wanted at the bar and would've gone all night if we could of. The view from the rooms across the race course is amazing. The breakfast I chose was a full Irish which was just to die for. There are plenty of other options too for those who prefer a lighter option. The relaxation areas of the hotel are luxurious and plenty so its not a case of simply resting in your room if you need to come back to the hotel for a sit down. Located right in the centre of town and a good point to explore the wider area of the West Coast if you have a car. Highly recommended. Also, the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. The Shower one of the best I have ever had.
