Very pleasant stay. All Irish staff (at least those I encountered) many of whom seemed to have worked there for a long time. Excellent food and good service.

The room, which was a non smoking room, stank of smok. It had damp and mold. The suspended Celing reminded me of 1970's porter cabin. All in all the room was brutal. When brought to the attention of the receptionist we were dismissed by say "sure what can we do, put cameras in the rooms to see if people are smoking".

It was in a convienient location and at a very reasonable price. Also, it is a little refreshing to deal with mostly Irish people in the hospitality industry...it's very rare these days and I'm sure tourists would prefer it. It's a little rough around the edges owing to the fact that it's a very old building. The major issue I had was the quality of the food in the bar and restaurant and the price of food.

Reasonably priced and located near where family live Radiator in the room leaked. Decoration in the room was tatty and outdated, horrible suspended ceiling, grimy bathroom, poor shower, small tv... Generally poor standard. Children running around at 1am (not the hotel's fault but annoying). No breakfast buffet

What I liked most was the friendly staff and the old fashon touch of irish people looking after your every need The bed rooms where old in looks they could do with a painting and also there is no clear sign of the n4 to let you know where to exit

Staff were brilliant, mix-up with bookings was sorted quickly, couldn't fault them Truthfully you get what you pay for, actual rooms are basic - good for a one-night stopover but wouldnt recommend it for anything more

Warm welcome at all times. Btreakfasts excellent, staff helpful and attentive. We enjoyed relaxing in the Ballyneety bar at the end of each day.Bus access to Dublin was great and inexpensive( marvellous says my husband,no need to drive) Access to motorway also excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable,if a trifle chilly by our standards!! Over all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Spa at Lucan to others.

Location. Easy access to bus route into Dublin Requires some modernisation. Rooms had all facilities including an ironing board but it made the room clastrophobic.
