Very pleasant stay. All Irish staff (at least those I encountered) many of whom seemed to have worked there for a long time. Excellent food and good service.

Warm welcome at all times. Btreakfasts excellent, staff helpful and attentive. We enjoyed relaxing in the Ballyneety bar at the end of each day.Bus access to Dublin was great and inexpensive( marvellous says my husband,no need to drive) Access to motorway also excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable,if a trifle chilly by our standards!! Over all we enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Spa at Lucan to others.

The value and car parking. No free internet connection. Also, hotel receptionist could have been a little friendlier.

The bar restaurant was very good value and excellent food. Silver fish in the bathroom. - a wake up call at 4.45am which should have been for another guest. - Having to pay for internet when all the other B&Bs I stayed at this trip (a total of 9 across the country) offered it for free - impolite and unhelpful staff in the breakfast room - not even a free drink or a token amount offered as compensation for any of the above.

The friendliness of the staff....and the price. I had made the booking through booking.com on the actual day I was staying. The icon on the deal said the complete price of the booking would be debited from my credit card and was non refundable. On check-in the very pleasant receptionist told me that wasn't the case and only a small deposit was deducted. So I paid cash for the balance due right there and then. However I since discovered that the full amount was deducted from my card. I rang hotel and was told that it would most likely be re-credited back to my card after 3 days. I stayed last Sun nite...and still no refund on my card today Thurs. This is a hassle I could do without and perhaps something can be done to stop this from happening in the future.

Location. Easy access to bus route into Dublin Requires some modernisation. Rooms had all facilities including an ironing board but it made the room clastrophobic.
