Customer service was amazing, staff were very friendly and helpful. Quality of food in restraunt was very good, as was the service.

Very efficient,staff helpful.room well laid out and spotless clean.

Room very small ,compared to size of ensuite.The bed height was too high ,I felt that one would need a step to get up.As when I got up during the night to use the bathroom I fell on to the floor ,bruising myself.So tried to sleep the rest of the night with the light on.

the first night i stayed there was a party of folks staying so there were revelaries happening late at night - fine enough as this was mostly downstairs, however the room next door decided to take the party there - and the walls are only partition walls - so this was very unwelcome at 11pm when i could be doing with a wee bit of kip-eye.

The staff and how the hotel was located in a more residential section of Dublin. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I stepped foot in the place. They genuinely care about their guests instead of displaying a superficial hospitality. Having food and drink available throughout the day was really convienent. I would definitely stay here again if I wanted a value for the money type of place. This place isn't some posh 5 star hotel nor do they market it as such, so don't go in expecting it to be and end up dissapointed when it's not. If you're looking for a place just to sleep in relative comfort this place is for you.

Not impressed with the evening meal. I ordered a burger one night and got a rather small pattie that had way too much onions in the meat for quite a healthy amount of euros. They also added the cheese too soon so it burned. Perhaps they just need an American to show them how it's done! The food in morning and lunch are very good though.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Clean and welcoming hotel. Lovely clean room good location ideal for games in Croke Park or just a city trip. Close to Botanical gardens. Good music and helpful staff. Highly recommend..well done the Maples house hotel.

Friendly obliging staff, and a comfortable room. it's in a quiet area, and although there is no car park, I had no trouble finding a space in an adjoining road.

Temp of room was good. Local amenities good.rang by owner to clarify uncertainties in changes made to the booking was greatly appreciated.

Expensive, especially as breakfast not included. No bin in the bathroom.

heat didn't work the first night, the sheets had something weird and black stuck to them...

I spent 7 nights at this hotel in late December 2012, early January 2013. The rate was €353 for a single(!) room with en suite facilities. The room itself was small, but adequately furnished, facing Iona Road. A bed, a chair, a desk, a closet with half a dozen hangers and a smallish flat screen tv with remote. That's it. The bathroom was comparatively(!) roomy, with modern shower facilities (good water power and heat). Mattress was ok, bed itself a bit smallish. Good service at the reception, friendly people. Room service efficient and "invisible". Best bthing about this hotel are a more than adequate bar and restaurant, with a decent selection of drinks and plenty of space. Hotel seems to cater to older people, at least that was my impression when I stayed there.

Be aware that the hotel isn't actually in the city centre (Temple Bar, River Liffey). Expect a half-hour walk (or shorter bus trip from Drumcondra Road, bus line 16) to O'Connell Street.

A very good location. Easy parking and access to the city. Beautiful building on the outside.Our bathroom was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. The soup I was served was very tasty.

The carpet was quite dirty en route to the bedrooms and when we got to our room the headboard had fallen off the bed. The bedsheets are quite dated also. I think the bedrooms need a little bit of updating.

Old style building with real character, but with modern facilities, clean and well maintained. Close to city centre and to frequently running buses.

Breakfast buffet choices very limited. However the cooked breakfast was good.

Most of all I appreciated the friendliness of the staff and how they accommodated my luggage when I traveled to other parts of the country, that really helped. The hotel was very clean and also very warm, a concern I had, as I was coming from Australia to Dublin in mid-winter. The hotel was well run and I would choose to stay there again.

Stayed just one night. All staff friendly. Great bar to chill and relax in.

The room was tiny and the bed was a small double. It was only possible to get into the bed at one side. There was only 1 bath and 1 hand towel for the room.
