Nice and quiet, rooms were fab, located in Templebar. Friendly and helpful staff.
Location. Peace & Quiet. Friendly informative staff. Size of room & quality of furnishings
Water pressure too low.
Beautiful suite with great attention to detail. Despite being in a very busy area the sound from outside was not too intrusive at all. Very helpful and friendly 'housekeeper'.Great security and perfect location.
You can hear other guests pass your door very clearly which feels odd. But would not stop me from staying here again.
Very good location in the centre of Temple Bar, safe & private room. Staff very welcoming and I would book again and recommend !
Amazing sound proof windows Excellent decor Friendly staff Communication before and after stay
Bed was comfortable, room was clean and as advertised, staff member who gave us information was helpful.
Unfortunately, we experienced a crisis on our holiday with my father suffering heart problems and having to return home. Most accommodation providers were VERY caring (receiving wonderful ratings and reviews from us), when we asked to change our bookings and booking.com were really helpful with that. The Merchant House were NOT kind. They insisted we still pay for my parents' room for the first night, even with 10 days notice given during peak season. There were no expressions of concern regarding our crisis, nor inquiries regarding my father's health - it was as if he had never existed! I have awarded a zero rating for compassion to The Merchant House.
Very beautiful suite
No powershower or bath-tub, no space for eating in, no dinnerware or plates, just one spoon on our arrival
Location Staff Clean Comfortable Quiet
No air con. No power shower.
Perfect location nearby Temple Bar but very quiet in the room. Jorge is a perfect host.
You need to announce the time of arrival in advance.
Location in the middle of Temple bar is exciting. You are in the middle of all the activity, but hear no noise. The room (Bram Stoker) was beautiful and intimate. Staff was helpful and attentive to all our needs. We would absolutely stay here again.
Fantastic apartment, that gave a feeling of staying at a modern, but homy place. It has everything you can wish for and a little more as well. Wish we had more nights to stay here, because it was truly excellent. Staff was really friendly and helpful. I will book this place again next time i go to Dublin!
The James Joyce Suite was clean, spacious and very comfortable for 3 people. The location of the property was within walking distance to Temple Bar, Grafton Street, O'Connell Street, Trinity College, Stephen's Green. We were never bothered by outside noise. It was just a really great place to stay.
We would have preferred a non-glass door to the bathroom.
No assistance provided to guests after 4:30 pm. No telephone to call for help in an emergency.
No phone; no means of getting assistance in an emergency after 16:30.
We stayed in the Oscar Wilde suite on the top floor and loved it! It's such a unique space and I wish we'd had longer than just one there. The extra layer of silencing windows were appreciated and really made a huge difference. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for something different than the usual cookie cutter hotel experience stay at the Merchant House.
Location, ambience, bed.
Breakfast in Eliza's.
Spacious room, classy design aesthetics, and right in Temple Bar.
The door to the bathroom is mostly glass, so you don't have much privacy there. The lodging is right across a tiny alley from two nightclubs, though the windows were surprisingly good at keeping much of the noise out.
Very central and as our room was located at the back it was very quiet for such a busy city.
The entire checking in thing is a bit weird, having to book a time slot to check in even though the house keeper was there all day. Also not a fan of having had to walk to a nearby restaurant for breakfast that was way below average. On both mornings I noticed that paying customers were given much larger breakfasts in comparison to those who came brandishing the coupon the hotel had given us. And finally, the hotel is located next to a porn/s&m shop which I assume is the reason you get a little book of dirty movies to chose from, could have been a little more discreet with that option, gave the hotel a sleazy feeling.
We both loved this hotel and can't wait to return. Beautifully decorated throughout and very, very comfortable.
As this cost us £140 per night, the only suggestion I would have, is, to supply a complimentary drink for guests arriving, although there is a mini bar and the prices weren't too expensive.
Fabulous location, gorgeous suite.
No opaque glass in bathroom.
Right in centr of Temple Bar. Beautiful Decor
Stylish spacious suite in which everything is there to make you feel wellcome and pampered. Every little detail is taken care of and makes the difference. Excellent location, good sleep quality, very functional suite.
The breakfast was not a great deal, I would not go for it next time.
The location was great and the room was clean and spacious.
They automatically charged my card for the full amount before I arrived rather than allowing me to pay the rest of the amount when I arrived. They also kept my card details informing me I'd be charged for spillages etc. The "refreshments on arrival" were chocolates and treats which had prices on them and would be charged to the card. Also the timings for checking out/breakfast were different in my confirmation details to when I arrived.
The room was great and the location was excellent!
Beautiful, quiet room in the perfect location
