I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hotel. It was a last minute decision to book the the hotel with no reserch just wanted to get away for a week and rest as we are in the hospitality business and need a break. On arrival despite booking bed and breakfast for the six nights we were informed that we booked room only , this was then corrected on the system. Early next morning we were woken twice with a false fire alarm going off. When we went to breakfast the resturant manager informed us we only booked room and not breakfast, when we informed him we had, he check with reception. As I was eating my breakfast I got a long ladies hair in my beans and eggs.I Presented this to reception after breakfast without any appology. The lady at reception said she would inform the resturant manager. That was the last we heard of the matter. For a 4 star hotel we found some of the staff very cold, also no water was supplied in the rooms. On our third night there we were kept awake until 2.30 am with a wedding reception directly under us, or so it appeared. The following night was a total discrace with all I can describe as a drunken orgy with young people cursing and swareing until 3am. I phoned reception to be told they nearly had Taxis got for everyone and the noise would soon be finished. It continued for a futher 30 minutes. On our final night it was worse again, with what apeared to be young people staying in the hotel walking up and down the corridore banning doors etc and shouting at the top of their voice this went on until after 4am. Yet the hotel staff took no action to stop this carry on. They seemed not concerned with their other paying guests. This was the worst Hotel experience of my life and I will never return to the Montenotte Hotel. I could say more but I will finish at that. Nothing other than the views.

Reasonable easy access to central Cork. Room comfortable and large compared to most. Iron & ironing board in room. Rare for Ireland. Rooms not sound proof. Could hear the sexual antics of couple in next room VERY clearly as well as their general conversations. People walking down corridor easily heard as well.

service in resturant and bar were poor, staff not trained. We had dinner there, all one can say it was ok,although our friends deep fried fish was burnt and asked for it to be changedThe breakfast selection was the poorest during our weeks stay in ireland, one had to request a fried egg? Our toast was only done on one side we requested more which we never got ,so we drank our coffee and left.Wwent to the English market next day and had an exellent irish breakfast.Bedroom adequate but bathroom very small

Nice and quiet atmosphere, beautiful view on the city, very friendly and professional staff, very clean room. The double bed was a bit small and not extremely comfortable, at least for me and my girlfriend which are both tall. I would have liked to find some juice or at least a bottle of water in the room, when you're just arrived after a trip it's very welcoming as normally you would be thirsty. One small thing. Although it might not be elegant to see in the bathroom, a toilet brush should always be available to use : |

On arrival we received a warm welcome by the Reception team, all the staff in the hotel were very freindly and most helpful, which made our stay at the hotel very enjoyable. My Grandchild was poorly and had to visit the local Doctor's surgery on a Saturday Morning, where the Receptionist not only made the appointment for us, but her directions to the surgery was Spot on. A big thank you to her.

friendly staff Double room described as a family room, to small as a family room, dusty and unused for some time. Dinner of poor standard, pool and dressing rooms to cold for a baby young child, pool full of used tissue. Having to put a 15 month old baby in a pram on their own while using a disabled lift everytime we left the room,as lift does not go to reception, my wife is 6 months pregnant.

The apartment was truly excellent for my family of 3 young children. Double ensuite, twin, further bathroom, large lounge and fully-equipped kitchen, incl. washing machine etc. Thoroughly recommend. Wifi free (if registered with BitBuzz) and strong signal. Parking is not plentiful. If you're not good at clutch control and hill-starts, you may feel nervous.

Will be back!!! And have told all our friends and family how much we loved the hotel. We had our daughters christening party there, and staff couldnt do enough for us. Everybody we encountered were so nice.girls at reception are exceptional. They went out of their way to help us. We also had a free upgrade to presedential suite!!!!!! We were thrilled, as it was a rare night without our kids. Will seriously now consider this hotel for our wedding in 2013!!! food was yummy too!!! 10 out of 10!!!!!

Ellen on reception was wonderfully pleasant and helpful. The buffet breakfast was tasty and good value. The room was excellent. Everything went well in the hotel but when we went to the leisure centre we were frustratungly and pedantically made wait from 9:35 until 10am so that my daughter could enter the pool during" children's hours"! The idea that she would disrupt the leisure club's precious fogies for the few minutes we'd have been in after getting changed disgusted me! Daft!
