Nothing much. It was only a 20 minute walk to the city - that's all it has going for it. Poor customer service, rude staff, When we got to the room I noticed straight away the amount of legs on the bed made it look like it was two single beds pushed together. My partner said no it couldn't possibly be - we've paid for a king size. But upon taking off the sheet it was in fact 2 single beds pushed together!!!! Rang down to the receptionist and said you told us this was a king room, has there been a mistake - we're in a room with two single beds pushed together. She replied "oh, you weren't meant to notice that it was two single beds, that's all we have to offer in this hotel for King sized rooms." Why this hotel think they are allowed to charge extra for a king sized room that isnt that is beyond me. Even if I hadn't noticed the legs - there was still a groove down the centre of the bed? And she told me I wasn't meant to notice?! Disgraceful and pathetic customer service, will never stay here again.

The staff were absolutely excellent. We were travelling with 2 children, both under 19 months old. The Staff in the lounge area were particularly child-freindly and often offered party bags/crayons etc to distract the oldest baby so that he'd eat. The Hotel wasn't child-friendly, as there was no leisure facilities which we could bring a child to (the Swimming pool was too cold and was only equipped for adults) and the hotel itself didn't being located on a steep hill meant that walks to and from the hotel were scarily uphill & downhill. That said, we enjoyed the food and friendliness of many of the guests and staff and felt it was a value for money hotel. Food was nice, although the buffet breakfast didn't serve 4 star quality foods or choices. My mother runs a 4 star B&B and offers omelettes, pancakes, 8 cereals, porridge, home-made muesli, soya milk, etc etc.The Hotel only offered 3 cereals (no porridge etc) and only a small selection of Irish Breakfast choices. There was only 1 yogurt available and fruit choices were limited. Dinners and Lunches were fine although the Child's Menu was far too big for 20 month old children, but we found it to provide good choices. The Hotel Staff cleaning the rooms constantly switched off our mini-fridge (which we brought to store the sterilised bottles for our 2 babies) which meant that we were constantly re-sterilising bottles in order to feed the babies. This was time-consuming and totally unnecessary... We were almost charged 50€ more than the bill should've came to, so thankfully I kept an eye on the expenditure before handing over my credit-card. All in all, we found the hotel lacked 4 star quality comparing it to several 4 star B&B establishments in the country, and found it to be more a 3 star venue.

Sports Channels available in the room. Staff extremely slow in service,Room Carpets were filthy, Cups in room not clean,1 towel left in bathroom where there was a reservation for 2 people, room not serviced, bed not made on second day, rust residue on the bath where stopper sat, bath acutally dirty also, overall I would not recommend this as a 4* hotel, more like 2 star.

It is very quiet in the area. The girl at reception who gave me the key was a pleasure to deal with. She was very courteous and very polite and presented herself very well.

Some of the staff went out of their way to make you welcome, others, particularly during breakfast time adopted a take-it-or-leave-it attitude, so it was amixed bag. The hotel is claiming 4 star status, but is 3 star at best. The facilities, particularly in bedrooms are in need of update and/or maintenance. Both rooms for our party, had faulty showers which had to be reported and one room a faulty toilet. The claim that you are minutes from the city centre is only true if you spend 8 to 12 euros on a taxi (each way). If you walk, it is a long and particularly difficult uphill journey on the way back. Not practical for anyone of a certain age or even slight disability. We asked for a room with a view, but although the hotel sits on a hill, the view from our rooms was spoilt by trees and an adjacent building.

The hotel was lovely and staff super!! Unfortunatly there was alot of noise from other people staying at the hotel including a row involving a group of men outside in the early hours which woke us ALL up! We didn't get alot of sleep due to all the noise in general in the early hours! Also we were over an hour waiting for food in the bar, with 3 hungry kids. Other than that we enjoyed our stay! I will bring ear plugs for everyone next time!

I like the relaxed atmosphere that the staff portrayed and enjoyed our party of Friday last to celebrate the reunion of our school class after 30 years. Jimmy in the bar was excellent as so too was his partner. I would definitely stay there again - its been 30 years since our debts do there and it brought back great memories - although the decor etc is more luxurious now. The only suggestion that I would make would be regarding your pool - there are no real amenities there for a six year old - there is alot to be said for having a good shallow end in a pool for all ages - my husband tried to coax my son to come in but he declined, even though he loves splashing about and my husband had rushed from work to take him in at 6pm before it closing at 7. This was a bit of a dissapointment to them both.

Enjoyed meal in bar and found room size for family perfect. We picked the hotel over others because it had a pool and we were looking forward to having a couple of swims there though unfortunately we did not know that the leisure centre would be closed for the day that we arrived as it was Good Friday and so we hoped we could use it the next morning only to find out that children are not allowed in to the pool on Saturdays til 10am. We had plans to leave the hotel at that time so did not get to use the pool at all and the children were very disappointed as we do not have easy access to a pool where we live. I explained to the reception staff on departure that this was the case and they said they appreciated our comments and would make a note of them.

The staff are excellent and the bar food was superb. The decor is probably aging and could do with a refresh. Not dirty or anything but just showing the signs of wear.

All the rooms in the apartment were very spacious, with t.v in every room. We had dinner one evening in the hotel restaurant, it was very good. Every thing was very clean except the carpets were a bit scruffy. The en suite bathroom in the main bed room, did not work. The temperature gauge would not go below very hot, the shower head hook was completly broken off and there was a screw missing from the shower door, so it would not close completly, so even if you could take a shower, the floor would get soaked.
