Room was too hot, even though the night was very cold, could barely sleep with the heat, despite window being open all night long. |

Clean, comfortable, quiet, near to business venue. Very friendly efficient staff made me feel relaxed and welcome after a long difficult journey. Nice light meal in bar served by lovely staff. Good free parking. Wall light cover missing in my room which could give a bad impression. Hovever everything else was so good that I did not mind. |

The hotel room was comfortable and generally clean and had no problem relaxing. Like the fact the hotel was close to a bus service that drove straight into the Temple Bar area. Also like the gentlemen who was looking after the downstairs area as he was very helpful with local knowledge. There were some tiles missing from the bath area in the corner but I suppose that is general wear and tear on a hotel that seemed really busy. Did not like the attitude on the lady who greeted my partner and I in the morning when we we not on the "breakfast included" list she had. If she had only said ok, have breakfast and we'll sort it out after then that would have been fine, however by the time we sat down, my partner didn't feel like eating and went to the hotel room to bring down confirmation that breakfast was included when paying. We showed this to reception to which they said, "Yes, it does say that.....". I believe this just to be a one off day for some reason and overall was very happy with the hotel. |

Liked the twin room we got first which was clean but requested a double then transfered to room 442.(See comment below). Large amounts of mould built up around tiling and ceiling in bathroom and woodwork swelled.Extraction fan not working. Also a musty smell in room.Would recommend to shorten curtains and cover unsightly paneling around rad with a vented window seat / shelving.Large gaps around door frame with no seal (Fire issue ?) |

The staff were very attentive. We stay frequently at the Montrose so that speaks for itself. |

The rooms were of high qualilty in appointments and fixtures, with plenty of space. The staff were very helpful, especially with sending and receiving e-mails on behalf of my wife. Although I only ate continental breakfast there, it was reassuring to know that the hotel had a good restaurant available if needed. |

Not directly in the city centre but very good local transport links from hotel to city and vice versa. Good size rooms, good value for money, friendly, helpful staff. Carpets could have been cleaner. |
