Miriam is extremely thoughtful and goes out her way to help you to feel comfortable. She attends to all your needs as if you were part of her lovely family. The room was quite large as was the bathroom which had the best shower we in Ireland. Miriam's Irish breakfasts were superb complemented with lots of fruit, cereals, and yogurt. Off street parking is available in a charming village. A very good restaurant as well as a pub are within easy walking distance.
While only some of our B&B's had room TV's, the old Bank tv was quite small with a hdtv converter box which took a while to figure out.
Peaceful and straightforward
The whole experience was great from the friendly staff to a comfortable bed and excellent breakfast
Very comfortable stay at the Old Bank B & B in Bruff. Very friendly - lovely breakfast.
Wonderful furniture, nice village, - and, above all, super friendly host!
Comfort and homely place nice welcome and attentive owner
Nothing only abit noisy at night from outside but not anyone's fault (light sleeper)
The B&B is located on the main street of Bruff, a small village near Limerick. Our room was large, well decorated, clean and comfortable. Miriam was lively and helpful, able to give us sound advice on where to eat that night and what to visit on the next leg of our journey.
Fabulous accommodation! We loved the rooms and the host was so very welcoming and friendly. Great breakfast and we can recommend the black and white pudding which was made by our host's husband!
Friendly atmoshphere. Clean large rooms. Nice breakky
Our bedroom and the guest lounge were very inviting and comfortable. The fire in the lounge when we arrived was welcoming.
Very pleasant stay in the Old Bank, the proprietor Miriam was friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. The rooms are well appointed and comfy, tea facilities and biscuits available, breakfast to order tasty and sufficient
Miriam is the best host you could want. Nothing is too much trouble. The delightfully presented accommodation is excellent value for money and the breakfast is first class. You should book here.
Immaculately clean Excellent rooms
My room was large, really nice, and very clean, as was the private bathroom. Owner/hostess Miriam provided a fine breakfast. Although she was on a tight schedule, she herself drove me to the Lough Gur archaeological site--which is what I came to Bruff to see, as it is just around 4-5 miles away--when there was no bus or taxi service on Sunday! She also loaned me an informative book about Lough Gur. She was so very helpful and went out of her way for me!
I liked everything!
Miriam is justifiably proud of her home and her Country and goes out of her way to ensure you get the most out of your visit. Would strongly recommend to travellers.
Miriam is a delightful, energetic and most helpful dear. She makes the place special. The rooms were nice and quite comfortable. The setting is charming but not pretentious. Food was fantastic. Restaurant around the corner was quite good for supper.
We were in Ireland during something of a "heat wave" with highs in the 80s and there is no air conditioning. Leaving the windows open solved that but since the B&B is right on the main street in Bruff, the young folks from the pub just up the block were hanging out and noisy until a bit after midnight. Traffic noise was not a problem as Bruff is small.
good bedroom . Impressed by the breakfast menu
Early check in time
First class - everything
Food, decor, v. Clean. Fab location away from tourist crowds but close to key attractions. Supermarket next door and great restaurant down the road.
Welcoming, helpful, generous host. Beautiful accommodation in a lovely town. Rooms (bedroom, sitting, breakfast) were inviting and comfortable. Breakfast was scrumptious.
Music broadcast in the street was a bit unnerving - a tad mental torture in fact.
Stopped for only one night. It's a great building in a lovely location, the rooms are to a high standard, the staff are very helpful & friendly and the breakfast set us up for the day. Thank you!
What a great find the Old Bank B&B is, rooms are big, spacious ensuites, had a great spa bath in ours and they are wonderfully decorated. The breakfasts are superb, but the best thing about this B&B is the host Miriam, what a wonderful character who will go out of her way to make sure your stay is perfect. Hard to find a better B&B anywhere.
Miriam was a wonderful host. She was very nice and you could tell she had pride in her work. She shared with us the history of the building and the story of how it became the wonderful B&B it is today.
A warm, hospitable welcome. Very helpful and made dinner reservations for us at nearby restaurant. Quirky and unusual theme of old bank. Secure parking for our motorcycles.
Miriam was very helpful. Thanks!!!
